Miniature Pinschers: I would like to thank the Society for inviting me to judge, this is a breed very close to my heart for over 8 years now and my first ‘show breed’. It’s always an honour that exhibitors bring them under you for your opinion and hopefully accept the decisions on the day. There are varying ‘types’ in the breed at present, all with there own merits and interpretations of the UK KC breed standard making for some harder comparative decisions. All the dogs today were presented in fabulous condition.

J (4 1) 1 Twiggs Monarkle Fire N’Ice At Teffys  A lovely young Red bitch 17 months with good hackney action and a nice drive from the rear, nice for size, well set tail, nice shape to her skull with a kind bright eye and expression with good high set ears, good clean dentition. Moderate tuck up with well sprung ribs and nice neat cat like feet. Alert and very attentive to her handler. 2 Parks Rayjen Yum Yum Another 17 month Red bitch of heavier type to one, a nice height with a good strong topline, high set ears and tail. Strong neck leading into well laid sloping shoulders and well sprung deep ribs. A powerful rear and very alert just a little unsettled and pulling today. 3 Bagshaws Bamtybo Nordic Goddess A puppy of just 7 months enjoying her day out today in the ring, superb Black and Tan coat, nice cat like feet with correct pencilling and good dark tan. Good high ear and tail set, elegant strong neck leading to well laid strong shoulders for one so young, good spring of rib. A tad long in the muzzle for me but as her head develops that could easily balance out. She was a very happy girl on the move but did give a few paces where you could see there’s a nice hackney action in there! BP.

O (2) 1 Twiggs Bamtybo Dark Lord At Teffys This young boy is such a showman, at 2.5 yrs he owns the ring as he comes in, good for size, tight gleaming Black and Tan coat, lovely tight cat like feet with perfect pencil markings,  high set alert ears in constant use. Bright alert eyes on a good strong masculine head, strong jaw, elegant strong neck leading into well laid sloping shoulders, well sprung ribs, nice moderate tuck up with a good strong topline held well standing and on the move. This boys movement front and back is perfection for me, a good hackney but never over the top, his rear drive is superb. a true toy dog! Handled so well to get everything from him. BOB. 2 Ralph & Salsburys Dobenar’s The Sorcerer Sire of one, this 6 yr old Black and Tan has a nice overall shape with a good shaped skull, nice eye, high ears and alert expression. Good strong topline, well sprung ribs and is nicely muscled in tip top condition as he approaches his veteran years. Good feet and pencilling, neat black nails, good dentition and bite. Well handled to get the best from him, good rear drive just doesn’t quite have the lift up front of his son.RBOB.
