West Bromwich & Wednesbury Canine Society Open Show - Saturday 24th August 2019

Dalmatian Critiques

Thank you for the invitation from West Bromwich & Wednesbury Canine Society to judge at your open show and to Keith & Leigh my stewards. Thank you also to the exhibitors for the opportunity to go over your lovely dogs.

Puppy (5) A super class of quality puppies.

1: Brennan’s Kaytoni Have You Seen Her. 10 month old charismatic B/S Bitch who is eye catching on the stand. Beautiful head, lovely length of neck, good depth of brisket and already a nice tuck up. Excellent bone & substance, super cat feet. Lovely coat, evenly distributed bold spots, good pigment. Movement is effortless, rhythmic, with a lovely elasticity to her steps and long ground covering stride. BP and later PG3.

2: Kaal & Rance’s Dallydyl Dream of Manderley To Olbero. 11th Month old L/S bitch. Not immediately as eye catching as others in this class, but on closer inspection she has a lot to like. Pretty head with a sweet friendly expression. Good width & depth to chest, nice strong forelegs. Excellent bone & substance, the best of tight cat feet. Super conditioned coat. Light on her feet with a natural flowing movement and rhythmic economical gait.

3: Townson & Pardoe’s Kaytoni Oh What A Night At Daymadals.

Junior (4)

1: Brennan’s Kaytoni Have You Seen Her.

2: Williams’s Tolkain Storm King From Phadante JW. 14 month old B/S dog with an honest, kind expression, well framed by his ears. Good chest, excellent depth of brisket, well muscled powerful rear. Pleasing bone & substance. Excellent dense coat, good pigment. Good reach & drive on the move.

3: Pace’s Dalcatori Morganite Rosa.

Post Graduate (3/1A)

1 : Pace’s Dalcatori Morganite Rosa. 15 month old L/S bitch, with a lovely happy disposition. Ultra feminine with a pretty spotty face & beautiful amber eye. Petite, but perfectly in balance. Lovely coat condition with pleasingly distributed spotting. Well schooled & so attentive to her handler. She won this class on her consistency of movement, not once wavering in style, speed or rhythm of pace.

2: Alcock’s Kayjule Kepler At Dalspartan. 18 month old B/S dog. A tall, athletic boy with super bone, well muscled & obviously fit. Excellent coat condition, bold, evenly distributed spotting, great pigment. Didn’t come together on the move today & feel he is one who would have benefited from a larger ring.

Open (4/2A)

1: Gibbs’s Phadante Mr Blue Sky JW ShCM. 3.5 year old boldly decorated B/S Dog. Good chest, strong forelegs, excellent depth of brisket, pleasing bone & substance. Nice height & well balanced in proportions. Super tight cat feet. Well muscled & full of power. Excellent reach & drive. Huge ground covering stride, yet so in balance. He makes light of negotiating the small ring while all the time maintaining his top line. BOB & later G4.

2: Pace’s Big Addo. 7 year old L/S dog. Taller and lighter framed than 1, but still with enough bone. Fit with good muscle tone. Evenly distributed classic spotting, dense well conditioned coat. On the move he is at one with his handler and showed a nice economic rhythmic stride, but carrying his tail a little high today.
