West Of England Bull Terrier Club

Thank you so much to the officers and committee for scheduling Special Award Classes for the first time at your show. I have judged Bull Terriers for 25 years and have a genuine interest in your breed, attending your shows several times. I passed your Breed Appreciation Day held in November and was rewarded by being asked to judge at your club show.

SPECIAL AWARD POST GRADUATE DOG OR BITCH CLASS Two entered – One Absent 1. Harper’s Olympusbulys Thoren Luck.

Although there were other entries in the Special Award classes, unfortunately only the one dog turned up on the day. Thank you Mr Harper for bringing your dog for me to judge.

I considered he had a good head, long and strong, well filled, giving the correct ‘egg shape’. Skull flat between the ears, triangular eyes, giving correct expression, with the bottom line pointing towards the outer base of the ear and well placed ears. I would have preferred a better scissor bite and a longer arched neck. Nice straight forequarters with strong, round quality bone. Well- made rounded body. Deep brisket, with underline forming a gentle tuck up. Viewed from above showed a good spring of rib and waistline. Nice hindquarters, muscular thighs, with stifle joints well bent and hock well angulated. Super tail set, on low and carried horizontally. Moved well. I noticed as the day went on, his movement got better and freer.

I was very pleased to see he was awarded Best Bull Terrier in Show. Congratulations.
