BIS. Bennett’s, Ch Witchstone Place Your Bets At Capledrae JW, 16 months ETT d, exquisite example of the breed. Head elegant but masculine. Beautiful dark eyes. Shapely candle flame ears, elegant neck, well developed chest, short loin, correct tailset and carriage, movement perfect for the breed. One of the best dogs I have had the pleasure of judging and his career has only just started, with many more high profile wins to come. I shall follow his career with great interest.

RBIS. Spacey’s, Inchydoney Memories North Star At Hallimans (Imp France). Brindle/white Greyhound d of 2 1/2 years. Great head, long arched neck into well laid shoulders and good return of upper arm. Fantastic depth of chest, correct bend of stifle and length of 2nd thigh. Powered around the ring. I hear has 2 CC’s, the 3rd cannot be far off.

Best Special Minor Puppy. McKnight and Robertson’s, Nisyros Playing With Fire At Azrams. 7 months old Fox Terrier (Smooth) d. White with tan markings. What a little cracker this is. Very typy head, correct shoulder placement, short level top line. Well set tail and well muscled and boned for age. Flawless movement. Will be interested to see how he progresses.

RBSMP. Gerard’s, Chesterhope C’mon Over Carmandine (Imp NZL). 6 months old, W/O Pointer b, classic beautiful head, arched neck, well laid shoulders, good depth of chest for age, top line held on the move, strong hindquarters for age, moved so well for one so young.

Special Best Puppy, N Playing With Fire At A.

RBP, Adamson’s, Sylvids Lord Of Hollyrood, 10 moths wolf sable Pomeranian d, sweet head with beautiful expression and small neat ears. Well sprung ribs, Cobby body, tight elbows, high tail set. Typical movement.

Special Best Veteran, Darling’s, Sharufa Shadowing James, 8 1/2 yr old Rhodesian Ridgeback b. An old favourite of mine who is still going well. Enjoying her food I see and ideally could do with losing a couple of pounds but this did not detract from her movement, which is still as strong as it’s always been. lovely head and expression. Strong neck, good shoulders, correct and ridge.

RBV, Ogilvie’s, Ch. Pakov’s I’m A Celebrity, 8 1/2 yr old Pomeranian d, What a little star and worthy champion. Wolf sable, delightful foxy head, dark eyes, small neat ears, short cobby body, well sprung ribs, still has tight elbows, high tail set, coat and condition wonderful. Moves with the energy of a youngster.

1, Corsar’s, Northwhip Rhythm Blues, 6 mth fawn whippet d, pleasing head, arched neck, well laid shoulders,good depth of chest for one so young. Correct top line, excellent hind angulation, best mover here.

2, Tinker-Haldane and Haldane’s, Dollydash Never Enough, Dachshund (wire Haired) 7 mth d. Good head with dark eye, correct keel, level top line, held on the move, well angulated behind.

2. Scanlon’s, Sharufa Dream Maker, litter sister to 1, of very similar build but slimmer. Typical head, good neck, shoulders and hindquarters, correct top line and ridge, just recovering from surgery but moved well.

1 and BOB, Wylie’s, Tangaer Calvera Alec Callydena, 3 yr old b. Sable/white. Well constructed front, well laid shoulders, good hind angulation, movement going away, just need to tighten a touch. BOB.

Beagle G (3, 1 abs)

1, BOB and G2. Fitzpatrick’s, Blunderhall Moonraker, 2yr old b. Tri with very pretty head and expression. Good leathers, excellent front construction and hind angulation, moved well.

2. English’s, Gempeni Paso, 3 1/2 yr old l/wh, typical head, with good leathers. Level top line, good tail set.

Beagle O (3,1)

1. Kavanagh’s, Beabass Magical Mayhem, unevenly marked blanket tri d. Would like him a bit more svelt. Good coat and condition, level top line held on the move, good tailset and carriage.

Borzoi O (2)

1 and BOB, Dollar and Ralston’s, Donskoi Zanoza At Scotach Sh Cm, 3yr old b, white with red head markings. Leaving her coat at home! Good bite, Veined head, good depth of chest, adequate hindquarters, rather steep in croup.

2. Arnold’s, Ballenbreich Bogatyr, r/wh 4yr old. typy head, dark eye, rose ears, would prefer more angles.

Deerhound G (1)

1. Barclay’s, Cotherstone Finlaggan, 2yr old d. Would prefer stronger head but still has the gentle soft expression associated with this breed. Still needs to mature.

Deerhound O (1).

1. Lindsay’s, Celticmoon Shadow Magic At Silverthyme, 5 1/2 yr old b. Typical head with dark eye, good depth of brisket, good hind angulation, free mover. BOB

2. Scanlon’s, Kinabula’s All About The Bass JW, 2 yr old b. Good head and eye, arched neck, good shoulders, level top line with correct ridge. Good hind angulation, moved well.

Whippet O (2)

1, BOB and G3, Arnold’s, Lucrezia Lysandra Synergy, 22 mth old fawn brindle b. What a pretty little girl this is. Sweet head and expression, neat rose ears, arched neck, well angulated fore and aft, correct top line, moved well.

2. Leslie’s, Windwalker Endeavour, 12 mth fawn d. Would prefer darker eye, good depth of chest, good bend of stifle and length of 2nd thigh.

1. Coutts, Ir Ch. Brocolitia Talk O The North, 11 yr old hound marked Fox Terrier (wire) d. Good head, has kept his colour very well. Good head, dark eye, correct shoulders, moved very well for his age.

2. Mackenzie’s, Donachain Dalavich At Calanru, 11 yr old Border, mature head with flat skull, good front, not moving as well as first, which is allowed at this age.

1. Lui’s, Eblanahalls Honeytrap JW, SCWT, 21 mth old b. Dark eye, good ear set, correct front and hindquarters, good tail set, moved well.

Pringle’s Esgia The Exciseman, 22 mth old Skye Terrier d. Masculine head, with strong jaw, keen dark eye, good ear set, level top line kept on the move, good length of rib and short loin, correct harsh coat, moved well.

Graham’s, Thistleaire Touch Of Frost, 17 mth old Airedale b. Not using her ears. Good front and hind angulation, moved well.

Mulligan’s, Cromlechs Seren, 15 mth Blue and Tan Border b. Pretty girl, with otter head, spans well, good front and hindquarters, moved well.

Coutts, Ir Ch. Buurencroft Wild At Heart, 5 yr old Hound marked Fox Terrier (Wire) b, Good head with keen eye using her ears well. Good neck into correct shoulders, moved well.

AV Scottish Breeds stakes (3,1)

1, Not in catalogue, Golden Retriever, good bite, beautiful dark eye, gentle expression, well laid shoulders, great hind angulation, moved very well.

2. Bennett’s, Capaldrae Sprit with a Dash, 2yr old Gordon Setter b. beautiful dark eye, low ear set, correct top line, well carried tail, hind action needs to tighten.
