Thame & Oxfordshire Country Canine Society Premier Open Show 18/09/19

Thank you to the society for inviting me to judge and for their hospitality and to all exhibitors for a nice entry.

Chihuahua Long Coat

Puppy 1/0A 1st Cater’s, Tyssul Awel Y Mor In Pixels really lovey headed 7th month old with correct earset and dentition and really super expression. Sufficient neck into well laid shoulders and good overall front assembly. He had a good topline and tailset and nice spring of rib. I would prefer a more compact body but he has much maturing to do so plenty of time to develop. He had absolutely the temperament I expect from this breed and moved well round the ring commanding attention to very much deserve his BPIB.

Special Yearling 2/0A 1st Vaitekunaite’s, Bramerita Dream Boy. Nice youngster with good body proportions and balance. He has a nice expressive head but would prefer a better eye and a tad more muzzle. Moved well in all directions but needs to strengthen in the rear. RBOB 2nd Grey’s Yorone Going For Gold. Well schooled fawn boy with nice head and sweet expression. Correct bone and body length but needs to mature overall and settle on the move.

Limit 5/2A 1st Cater’s, Tyssul Awel Y Mor In Pixels, 2nd Grey’s Chennelchis Milky Way, sweet cream boy who was a little reticent today. Good depth to brisket and nice topline held well on the move. Nice head with good earset, ok mouth and muzzle. Moved steadily just needed to put more into it. 3rd Smith’s Little Wold Cry Of Hulawawas

Open 2/0A 1st Cater’s, Pixels Moonlight Express JW. Delightful 2 year old bitch with a lovely balance all through and moved well with a super sassy attitude and flair. Very nice head and super expressive eyes, good earset and a good mouth. Nice front assembly and good strong rear. I would prefer to see more ruff and a tad more length to neck but she was a delight to asses and more than deserved her BOB. 2nd Smith’s Zena Warrior Princess Of Hulawawas. 4 year old bitch with good texture to coat and nicely bodied. Head a little broad with earset rather low but has a nice eye. Moved steadily but was a little wide infront.

English Toy Terrier

Puppy 0/0, Special Yearling 2/0A 1st Jolley’s Witchstone Odds On Favourite At Dekobras. 17th month dog in lovely condition. Nice wedge shaped head and elegant clean neck into correctly angulated front. Lovely earset and expressive eye. Nice bone and good topline but would prefer more depth to brisket. Moved soundly. RBOB 2nd McGowan’s Penmarlam Mr Brown. Lovely head with super ears and nice expression. Company body but needs to mature and develop in chest. Rather unsettled and overexuberant on the move so not displaying the desired extended trot.

Limit 2/0A 1st Wiles & Argint’s Shedan Follow That Girl At Vidra. Well bodied bitch of good proportions and with nicely angulated rear. Nice feminine head with good muzzle but earset a little low. On the move she strided well from behind with good drive but was dropping her shoulders in front which spoiled her outline today. 2nd McGowan’s Penmarlam U Got The Look. Ultra feminine bitch with lovely head and super eyes. Ok front but could have better shoulder which would improve her reach on the move. Good topline and tailset but today was rather uncooperative and tucking under rather when stood spoiling her outline.

Open 2/0A 1st Jolley’s Ch Witchstone Don’t Crow At Dekobras ShCm. 4 year old that although is well up to size, he has so many qualities you can easily overlook this. He was shown in first class condition and muscle tone with beautiful gleaming dense coat and certainly catches the eye. Masculine yet elegant correctly wedged head with lovely earset and nice expression. Easy to see why he has his title on the move where he strides out freely with good precision. Delighted to award him BOB and hear he topped the toy group today also. 2nd Warren’s Pedara The World Is Mine. At just 17th months old this dog gave away a lot in maturity to the winner and needs to develop in body, but is promising nonetheless. Well presented with pleasing head and earset. Good front and nice body with correct topline and moved well.
