Italian Spinone

Junior (2 Entries 1 Abs)

 1st Turner’s Osulf Pecan Pie

11 m/o Brown Roan Bitch, head of good proportions, with good ear set and eye of good shape and correct colour. She has a good top line which she held on the move, she has a harsh coat which is the correct shade of brown and she has good thick skin. She has enough bone for her age, still to mature to reach her full potential, however she has plenty of time on her side and is where I personally would want her at this age. Showed lovely free and sound movement today, especially in the group. BPIB

Postgraduate (3 Entries 1 Abs)

1st Cruse’s Beardoni Mostly Merengue De La Cruse

23 m/o W/O Bitch Feminine head with good diversion and lovely roman nose. Stood she is well balanced and square, she is well angulated throughout has good depth of chest and good spring of rib and enough bone for her age, she has a harsh coat and moved well to take this class.

2nd Fordham’s Lucoru Catequil At Cloudnine

22 m/o Brown Roan boy very excitable today and making his handler work hard, it made it difficult to assess him but when he did stand I got glimpses of a boy at a similar stage of development to 1st and a lot of the above comments of first could apply to this young man. He is square and of a good size with a lovely harsh coat with a balanced head of good proportion. Lots of potential in this boy and I am sure once matures and gets his head in the game he will do well.

Open (6 Entries 1 Abs)

1st James’s ShCh Inostricani Fiorella (JW ShCM)

Almost 5 yr. old W/O quality bitch who is her prime. She has a very typical feminine head with good divergence, pronounced occiput and the best of eyes. Slightly longer than square but she very well balanced throughout which she uses to advantage when moving. Correct top line and good depth through chest and belly line, she is well boned and carrying a good harsh coat, moving very well in this competitive class to take BOB.

2nd Glazik’s Ellisbell Mr Sandman

3 yr. old W/O boy who I judged as a youngster, just coming into his prime. Slightly longer than square, however he is well angulated with good depth to chest and a strong loin, good harsh coat and good oval bone he is well muscled with good second thigh He has a good head with good divergence and correct proportions, happy chap moving well, giving away a bit on maturity to the bitch today to take RBOB

Bracco Italiano

Junior (3 Entries 1 Abs)

What a lovely class of youngsters this was!

1st Sanderson’s Owlspoint Trouble Again

Handsome 9.5 m/o dog puppy. He is mature for his age and for my preference would not want him much taller. That being said he has a gorgeous masculine head of correct proportion with lovely deep muzzle, good divergence and very good eye with desired soft expression. He has a strong neck leading into well placed shoulders, shoulders are nicely separated and well-muscled. He has a good top line which he held on the move and very good rear angulation which allowed him to move with good reach and drive, when viewed in profile he showed text book Bracco movement. He is well muscled with good bone, shown and handled beautifully to BPIB & RBOB

2nd Angus’s Braccorions Livin It Up at Sparkenhoe I loved this pretty 17 m/o bitch who was very unlucky to meet 1st on top form today. She has an ultra-feminine head; she is well balanced throughout with good muscle and good bone. Just didn’t have the sparkle of the winner today.

 Postgraduate (3 Entries 1 Abs)

Thank you to the exhibitors for entering and for taking my decisions with in good sport, I hope to get the opportunity to judge this breed again in the near future.

Feminine and clean over skull, lovely top line, she has good bone and with enough muscle for her age. So positive and sound moving for one so young. Very promising puppy BPIB & RBOB Lovely to later watch her get shortlisted in the puppy group.

 2nd Milburn’s Gillyfield Akina

11 m/o Very good front/ rear angulation, I preferred the head of this bitch to that of first very clean over skull and so well balanced with a lovely eye. She is so well muscled and has good bone. Moving ok today and just giving a bit away in substance to the younger puppy at the moment but again a very promising young bitch.

Junior (3 Entries 1 Abs)

1st Hammond’s Seasham Love Bug

15 m/o medium sized quality bitch presenting a very balanced outline when standing. She has a feminine head clean over skull, lovely eye of correct colour and lovely shape with correct scissor bite. Presented and handled very well today to take BOB.

 2nd Hunt’s Pingarypoint Top Secret

8 m/o dog who was 3rd in the previous class. There’s a lot to like about this young dog, he has a balanced outline with masculine clean head of good proportions good coat and bone. Very much a baby and a bit loose in movement at the moment, but should finish well. Promising puppy.

7 yr. old mature very masculine dog, taller than my preference. He has a good head with correct bite and lovey eye of correct shape and colour. Coat of good texture and correct colour, well-muscled throughout. Just a bit unsettled today and making his handler work hard.
