Spaniel (Cocker)
O (2,1) 1 Cassom Canaletto at Barnsbur. Smart young chap, really up for it – what a great attitude. Appeals throughout for good type, moderation, sound structure and topped off with an immaculately presented coat, too. He has a grand head, scores in topline, feet, tailset and has balance of angles fore and aft. Moved out very well. BoB & G3.
Retriever (Golden)
J (1) 1 Ramchaine Glorious for Shebelta. This young b certainly had her naughty head on today and made her handler work very hard indeed! She has a pretty head with good dark eye, and well set ears. A bit raw at this stage of her growth, needs time to body up and fill in.
PG (3,2) 1 Shebelta Red Hot Summer. Lovely temperament on this b who was a pleasure to go over and assess as she was clearly enjoying her job, however her enthusiasm did mean she was a shade erratic on the move at times! Presented in good order.
O (1) 1 Castlegolden Classy Lady. Sweet headed b who presented a clean outline stacked up. Liked her expression, lovely eyes. Stands well over her ground on good feet, and holds topline well stacked and moving. Presented in good coat and super condition, shown to advantage. BoB & G4.
Irish Setter
J (2) 1 Lynwood Merry May King. What a smashing wee chap, brand new out of the box and loving life. Liked his overall make and shape, he has balanced and yet strength in bone and depth in body. Well angled fore and aft, he stands soundly on his straight limbs. Moved out very well indeed, with such accuracy and aplomb for such a baby. Great prospect, delighted to judge him at his first show and award him BoB & BP. 2 Gwendariff I’m Up For It. Feminine outline on this b who has a beautiful head. Lots of breed qualities even at this raw stage, however wasn’t so tidy moving towards today. Nails need attention.
O (2) Difficult class with these two are neither of them appeared to be particularly happy with the surroundings– like many on the day – they were a tad unhappy on the floor surface. 1 Aoibheanne’s Rough Diamond, edged ahead to win the class as I preferred his head and feet, over 2 Hazelbeck Precious Pearl.
Retriever (Labrador)
P (2) Balladoole Implausible. Very promising prospect with a typical outline. Smart headpiece of balance, strong neck and good shoulder placement. Strong in topline, well ribbed and his tail is well set on – which he used to advantage. Impressive side gait. In good coat; has an endearingly naughty character to boot! BP & PG3. 2 Flyenpyg Snout But The Best. From a finer mould than 1, but another with a great character and attitude. Pretty head and expression, stands on good feet and in fit condition, just a bit proud of her tail and tended to lose her topline now and again.
PG (6,2) 1 Amorozza In Ectremo Mardas (Imp Rus). Smart yellow who presented a tidy picture stood up. Good balance of skull and strength in muzzle. Strong neck, well laid shoulder and a level topline. Strong in quarters and stands squarely over his hocks. Well ribbed up, strong in loin. Muscled up, standing on good feed and produced a strong driving action going around. BoB 2 A Sense of Pleasure’s Get Lucky. Quite a strong head on this d, but liked his outline standing up and he used his ears and tail well at all times. In great coat, stands on good feet. Moved out well but found him to stand sloping his topline on occasion. 3 Stmakajo Boba Fett.
O (3) 1 Flyenpyg Porky Pig. Loved the endearing naughty character of this dog – he was full of it! Masculine headed yellow of good proportions. Liked his overall make and shape, and fit condition. Stands well over his ground with this balanced angles. Has good feet, and in good coat. Would prefer a thicker tail. 2 Shadbudpips Aghios Sostis. This yellow was quite out of coat, but has a typical enough shape. Scores in topline, held on the move and stacked up, and was presented in fit order.
Lagotto Romagnolo
J (2,1) 1 Rozebottel’s Porthos. Well here was today’s show stopper! A tremendously exciting young d and a pleasure to judge. Immaculately presented, he appeals for breed type and complete soundness of construction throughout. Smart head, with brain room, strength in muzzle and a good big nose. Strong neck, high wither, and a slight slope to topline which he held firmly. Well off for ribbing and strong through the loin, leading on to his well angled and muscled quarters. Stands squarely at all times on excellent feet and straight limbs. On the move he really goes – covers the ground with power and composure, and has accuracy of footfall. Handler does a cracking job with him, they have such rapport and a professional air. Delighted to award him G1 & PG1; thrilled to hear he went all the way to BIS. Good luck for the future!
O (2,1) 1 Mikette Mini Mi Milioni. This b is a superb mover and great to watch going around as she uses her construction to advantage. Feminine headed, and well made throughout she is presented in first class order and a good tight coat. Scores in topline, ribbing, and hindquarter angles, which she uses to advantage. Stands on good feet and really gives it her all when moving.
AVNSC
P (1) 1 Zoldmali Lipton at Brecalde. Well grown young d of good type, and with a good coat. Head coming along nicely, and stacked up he presented a balanced picture. Has depth of brisket and well ribbed back, firm in topline and has well angled and muscled quarters. Straight limbs and super feet. Moved well enough, however was very wary of the floor unfortunately. BP.
J (1) 1 Zoldmali Lipton at Brecalde.
PG (5) 1 Benbuie Thornbird. Smart type to this Gordon, who has good bone and body. Lovely expression from his dark eyes, he is well balanced throughout and has a good topline and tailset. Moved very well, covering plenty of ground and is sound away and back. Stands on good feet, has good colour, and was very well presented and handled. 2 Kimmax Who Cares Wins. Liked the head and expression of this b, needs to do some maturing and filling in, and her feet could do with some attention. 3 Beechilawn Oohh Betty.
O (6,1) This was a super class, the deciding factor was performance; some didn’t fare well in the small ring, there were a few really letting themselves down on the move. Handlers need to try and use the smallest of spaces to the greatest advantage!
1 Highclare Only One Avec Talliside. What a super Brittany, such a quality d, I really liked him a lot. Grand head and expression, superb construction and soundness throughout. Strong topline, great ribbing, and presented in absolutely immaculate condition. Stands on excellent feet. Moved out very well when he settled, demonstrating the breeds unique gait very well indeed. Certainly an easy BestNSC, and very close indeed to winning the group here today. G2. 2 Ewtor Affinity For Flyenpyg. Lovely type of field, good construction throughout and presented in first class order. Moved out with accuracy however would have preferred a little more impulsion going around. 3 Isara Kurzhaar Whistle.

AV Veteran (4,2) 1 Gaesten Zippy Zingo at Nelbekio. Masculine headed male of decent type, has a dark eye and well set ear. Structurally sound and well balanced, with good ribbing and plenty of heart room. Excellent curled coat. Stands on great feet and moved out very positively with accuracy and reach and drive. BV & pleased to hear him go on to take BVIS. 2 Wenningdale Kristina of Flyenpyg. Smart Labrador with a really happy disposition and clear zest for life. Has a good head with kind eye and well set ear. In super coat and really showing herself off.
