My thanks to the society for inviting me to judge the Special Award classes at their show, and to all who entered under me. There was good quality in all classes, which made for some very tough decisions.

Special Award Classes (Cardigan)

Junior (3, 1 Abs)

1st – Langford's CAPRIAN THE VIXEN 13 month old Brindle bitch. Good head proportions with a nice flat skull and well set ears, and a pleasing feminine expression. Has well laid shoulder and a good spring of rib. Firm, level topline, which held very well with very good movement. Nicely muscled and well balanced.

2nd – Eby & Taylor's KILVROCH CARIAD 9 month Brindle bitch. Another nice bitch, with well set ears and head in good proportion. Not quite the muscle of 1, but good for her age. Movement was good, was clearly enjoying herself.

Graduate (6, 1 Abs)

1st – Langford's CAPRIAN CHALLENGER 13 month Brindle dog, littermate to 1 in Junior. Similar comments to his sister apply, has a lovely masculine head, good mouth and very good body and muscle. Movement was very nice and free flowing.

2nd – Roberts' WILDCARD JIMMY CHOO KOGARAHS 2 ½ yr old Tri dog. Good, strong head, with lovely ear and eye. Good lay of shoulder and well sprung ribs and excellent muscle, particularly to the rear. Movement was good, but was not quite as settled as 1 when stood.

3rd – Siviter's RUBEGUD TAKIN THE MICK ShCM

Open (11, 3 Abs)

1st – Roberts' TRAFOX BLACK OF DIAMONDS TO KOGARAHS (IMP.) 7 yr old Tri dog. Handsome boy, shown in excellent condition, not showing his age at all. Good, strong head, in good proportion with lovely ear and eye, and good mouth. Well laid shoulders, good spring of rib, and a firm level topline which held well with his excellent, free flowing movement. Lovely expression when stood, and clearly enjoying himself.

2nd – Eby & Taylor's Ch KILVROCH ENCHANTRESS 9 yr old Brindle bitch. Another well made veteran, not showing her age. Pleasing feminine head, in good proportions with very nice eye and ear. Nice shoulder and forequarters, with good topline, holding well. Rear quarters well muscled for her age, providing good drive on the move.
