Open Show - 23rd March 2019

My thanks to the society for inviting me to judge a good entry with some really good quality throughout. Had to really split hairs for some placings.

Tibetan Spaniel

Graduate – 7 (1 Abs)

1st – Osborn's Quailmoor Guinevere – 17 mth gold sable bitch. Nice head, with well cushioned muzzle, correct eye and well set ears gave a pleasing, feminine expression. Firm, well laid shoulders and a good level back which held well on the move. Good, well let down hocks and free movement.

2nd – Armstrong's Dandydayo Young Desire For Goldpeke – 10 mth richly coloured sable dog. Good masculine head with nice dark eye and correct ear set. Nice shoulder, good level topline and correct hindquarters finished this handsome boy off well. A little erratic on the move, but good when behaving. BPIB and pleased to see him take PG4.

3rd – Bevis' Starlance Follow My Way

Limit – 4 (1 Abs)

1st – Hall's Balgay Kitang Po – Gold and sable dog of nearly 2 years. Good head with well cushioned muzzle and nice eye. Good lay of shoulder, nice, level topline which held well on the move. Good moderate angulation to rear and nice harefoot. Coat and featherings in wonderful condition. BOS.

2nd – Osborn's Quailmoor Lady of the Lake JW – 17 mth gold sable bith, littermate to 1st in Grad. Very similar to her sister, same comments on head and body apply, movement good, not quite as free as her sister, but lots to like.

3rd – Smith's Balgay Ma Beau at Saxina

Open – 6 (0 Abs)

1st – Bevis' Balgay Ma Linette of Starlance JW ShCM – 2 ½ yr old bitch, gold with sable and white. Lots to like about this young lady. Good head of correct proportions, with nice eye and ear with a well cushioned muzzle. Good shoulder and nice level topline, holding very well with good movement. A pleasing expression and happy character finished her off to a tea. BOB and pleased to see her take GRP3.

2nd – Rice's Ricox Somebody To Love JW ShCM – nearly 3 yr old bitch, gold and another with lots to like. Good head, with correct eye and ear. Nice shoulders, well made all through with a very good topline. Free and effortless movement. Would prefer a little more in the way of furnishings. RBOB

3rd – Wayman's Starlance Sargeant Pepper at Mynapaw JW ShCM
