Whippet Critique

I would like to thank the Officers and Committee for their invitation to judge today. I really appreciated their hospitality and organisation, which contributed to the well running of the show. Thank you to all Exhibitors for a super, quality entry it was very much appreciated and a privilege to go over your lovely dogs. Thanks also to my well organised and thoughtful Steward. I really did enjoy my day.

Puppy D/B (3, 0a)

1. Davis; Jemalsheva My Giddy Aunt. Smart pale fawn bitch almost out of puppy class, shapely youngster of lovely breed type which I did prefer. Good feminine head complimented by the darkest of eye pigmentation, correct scissor bite. Long elegantly arched neck flowed into a good lay of shoulder, adequate depth of brisket for age and good length of ribbing. Nice rear angles good turn of stifle with hocks well let down. Lovely smooth flowing lines, my hands just glided over her. Once settled moved well in profile holding a pleasing topline, at times a tad overstretched on the stack which spoiled her lovely outline and overall picture. BPIB, pleased she later went HPG2.

2. Bass & Hall; Shalfleet New Moon Rising At Silverfrith. Attractive 9 month old fawn brindle parti dog totally different in type. Good front and rear angulation, lovely depth of brisket and infill for one so young, really has lots to like. Moved out soundly in all directions.

3. Kaseki; Changane Ezra

Yearling D/B (7, 1a)

1. Home & Fisher-Home; Jasarat Sugar Candy. Ultra feminine pale fawn bitch with white trim headed this quality class of youngsters, I was indeed splitting hairs between my top 4 today. Another full of breed type, pretty head and sweet gentle expression. Good length of neck elegantly arched flowed into a well laid shoulder placement and pleasing top line. Super depth of brisket with the most curvaceous of underlines, flowed into a good tuck up complimenting her lovely profile shape. Nice rear angles, well developed upper thigh sweeping turn of stifle, she moved effortlessly in all directions true coming and going.

2. Webber; Zoraden Fifty Shades Darker. Eyecatching 13 month old gleaming black bitch a tad stronger than 1, nevertheless feminine. Well constructed front assembly, good length and return of upper arm, elbow falling directly under wither viewed on the stack. Deep through the brisket with enough infill, pleasing gentle rise over loin which she held nicely on the move. Rear angulation mirrored her front, just preferred the elegance of the winner.

3. Saxby; Runaround Amazin’ Grace With Sandspring.

Post Graduate D/B (5, 0a)

1. Strong & Clinton; Amphoras Magiq In Vogue By Mackjama. An eye catching 2 year old fawn brindle bitch with white trim immediately caught my attention on entering the ring. Attractive refined head and lovely expression. Nice angles and well balanced throughout. Desired depth of brisket and good length of ribbing. Lovely overall shape on the stack, has all the curves in the right places. Moved well and soundly in all directions.

Limit D/B (5, 1a)

1. Home & Fisher-Home; Citycroft My Fair Lady Of Jasarat JW ShCM. Classy feminine ‘whippety’ fawn bitch with white trim of 5 years. Dam of the yearling class winner, she certainly stamps her lovely breed type. A quality bitch spot on for size, curvaceous, well balanced and without exaggeration. Good female head with a clean scissor bite, the darkest of eye well set complimented the most beautiful expression. Long elegant arched neck, lovely flowing lines with pleasing angulation front and rear, good bladed bone with the neatest of feet. Super overall picture on the stack which won her the class today. Moved sound and true, effortlessly in all directions RBOB.

2. Osborne; Florancy Above And Beyond Derohan JW. Lovely brindle and white girl, another quality bitch unlucky to meet the winner today. Pretty head and expression, nice depth, good loin and well developed rear, sweeping turn of stifle hocks well let down. Moved out well with absolute ease and fluidity.

3. Chappell; Jemalsheva Golden Fleece Into Blueflight.

Open D/B (5, 2a)

1. Shepherd; Citycroft Sundae With Oxana JW ShCM ShCEx. Stunning, well balanced 3 year old fawn dog with white trim, identical in breeding to the previous class winner. A quality package culminating a picture of strength, masculinity and elegance all rolled into one, he really took my eye and stood out in the line up today. Handsome long lean head with the most intelligent expression, complimented by the darkest of coal eye. Good length of neck well set flowed into a lovely front, correct lay of shoulder and return of upper arm. Desired depth of brisket, back well ribbed, pleasing gentle rise over a strong loin and standing on the best of feet, rear angulation mirrored his front. Presented in tip top condition, super coat and muscle tone he looked an absolute picture. Moved out accurately with good reach and drive in profile, true coming and going. Best mover of the day for me and indeed a worthy winner BOB, HG1.

2. Davis; Jemalsheva Goldikova. Pretty neat fawn brindle bitch of 2 years. Feminine and nice for size, pleasing angles fore and aft, good depth of brisket and strong upper thigh, really has lots to like. Moved out freely.

3. Chappell; Nattah Skys The Limit At Blueflight.
