Tibetan Terriers

Thank you to the exhibitors for allowing me the opportunity to go over such a quality entry. My final line up was equal to any championship show. Some lovely quality youngsters, particularly males which the breed has been lacking lately, who I will follow with interest. Thank you also to my very efficient and helpful stewards.

Puppy (2,0)

1st & BP Sinclair & Barron’s Datdamdawg At Araki. I feel a few will be saying this shortly! One of the nicest puppies I have seen in a while, if ever. Gleaming black and white coat. Resolute and engaging expression with a dark eye. Good head proportions. Moved with reach and drive and a happy, look at me attitude. Can't wait to see what the future holds for him. PG4

2nd Barron’s Araki Just An Illusion. Also a lovely puppy, just not the confidence and maturity of 1 although later learned he had only gone on a lead for the first time during the week before. Stood four square, balanced and sturdy. Sympathetically handled helping him to move accurately. Very promising.

Junior (4,0)

1st Thurston’s Tetsimi Slave To The Rhythm. This gold and white bitch moved with reach and drive on a loose lead. Feminine head of correct proportions. Well handled and presented. On top form today which won her this quality class.

2nd Price, Leese & Barron’s Balderstone Quincy At Araki. A taller black & white dog but still balanced and square. Moved out well with much reach and drive, just not the maturity of 1. Needs time to body up.

3rd Sinclair & Barron’s Araki Too Darn Hot

Post Graduate (3,0)

1st & RBOB Smith’s Tetsimi Rock Your Sox Off. Unexaggerated bitch with black coat of good texture. Lovely head proportions. Dark eye and a resolute yet melting expression. Correct size with a square outline. Good depth of chest and rib. Moved effortlessly with reach and drive. Unfortunate to meet BOB but sure her time is just around the corner.

2nd Sinclair & Barron’s Araki Blueprint Boy. Lovely to see him enjoy his time in the ring so much but just needed to curb his enthusiasm slightly so his true and correct movement could shine through. Masculine and sturdy but not coarse. Black and white coat of good texture. Well angulated. A really pleasing dog to go over with so much quality.

3rd Plummer & Bingham’s Silgarhi Holy Smoke

Open (6,1)

1st & BOB Price & Leese’s Ch Araki Already Whispering. Such a lovely, square gold and white bitch who is every bit as good as she looks from the stand. Correct head proportions and stop with dark eye and pigment. Sturdy yet entirely feminine. Low set hocks on which she drove around the ring despite its small size, maintaining a level top line. Handled to perfection to compliment her look at me attitude.

2nd Smith’s Tetsimi Panda Print. A quality black and white bitch. Square, sturdy with good bone. Large feet. Steady and correct on the move, just not the animation of 1.

3rd Whitman’s Kipukyi Snoqualmie Legend
