Northern Counties Gundog Club

Thank you to all exhibitors for their entries. 

I thoroughly enjoyed my day. My apologies in delay in the critiques due to the death of my mother in Law.  

13TH October 2019 

Brittany 

Open (1)  

1st & BOB Mrs I Clayton’s Lampaul Louis Black & White Male, good head, good length of neck into nicely angled Shoulders, depth of chest to the elbow & good length of loin. Would prefer slightly more rear angles however he moved out well with a good coat. 

 

German Longhaired Pointer  

Limit (1) 

1st & BOB S Pearse’s In Your Dreams - Brown & white 10mths old, She moved out very well in this class, she unfortunately became a little bored over the course of the day. I would prefer her to be carrying little less weight. Good head with correct length of ear & good expression, nice length of neck, well angled shoulders with good depth of chest, good rear angles with neat feet, in excellent coat & tail set.   

 

German Wirehaired Pointers 

PostGrad (3) 

1st G Simpson’s Manorsplace Actinum. Black & White, Was carrying a tad too much weight. Moved out well. Good proportioned head & furnishings onto nice neck length, well angled shoulders with good depth of chest, Neat feet, good length of loin, good rear angles however does slightly turn out.    

2nd K O’Conner’s Karlejay Gump Circle of Life (AI) Liver & white. Just out of puppy & raw but full of promise. Would prefer a little more muscle tone but given the age of the dog is acceptable. Nice head with good furnishings and good length of neck, currently Just enough depth of chest, Not the shoulder angles of the winner. Nice feet, good length of loin, good rear angles. Moved out well.  

3rd D Cox’s Fellywood Primrose 

Open (2) 

1st  & BOB K O’Conner’s Karlejay Gump They Live in Yu (AI) Liver & white, another I would prefer more muscle tone, nice furnishings on face & good head, good neck onto nicely angled shoulders, nice depth of chest which as he matures will develop further, good length of loin with good rear angles. He moved out well to win the class & BOB & group 3.

Large Munsterlander  

Open (1) 

1st  & BOB Mrs B Butler’s Ichbin Jaunty of Jendella’s 

Nice head & expression with excellent ears, good neck length and good shoulder angulation, correct depth of chest, good topline with good tail carriage, well angled rear which when she settled moved out well. In good coat.  

 

AV Veteran (11)  

1st Mr&Mrs Thurm’s Beldonburn Fairisle (GR) 

This lovely dog moved out with drive of a dog much younger.  

2nd Mr & Mrs Thurm’s SH CH Valger Odette (GSP) 

Another nice dog just not the flow of 1st placed 

3RD Mrs A Chandler’s SH CH Chanangel Sticky Wicket JW SHCM (WSS) 

 

Best in show

Moved out freely with style and pace.

AV Minor Puppy (8) 

1st Mr D & Mrs B Butler’s Toberworry Breaking Dawn at Jendella’s (LM) in good coat with lovely head and ears, good neck and reasonable shoulder angles, good feet, good topline and tail carriage. Moved excellently for a youngster  

2nd Mr P & Mrs C Huyton’s Hightyne When I fall In Love (FCR) 

Nice head would prefer a little more stop, is currently a little straight in the shoulders. Needs a slightly more depth of chest, good rear angles and good tail set.  

3rd Mr P & Mrs C Huyton’s Hightyne Ramblin Rose (FCR)

1st Mr P & T Balmer’s  Mabanika Omega (Wiem) 

Very nice head and expression of a young bitch. Good ear set, nice length of neck, well angled shoulders and neat feet. Excellent length of loin with good rear angles. Moved out effortlessly when not being distracted by scent.  

2nd J Rainey’s Kalispell Villanette (Cocker) 

Good head and neck, well angled shoulders with good feet, well angled rears. Moved out well.
