COCKER SPANIELS 

Thanks to exhibitors for this quality entry. Movement was good overall but several dogs were carrying excess baggage. 

PUPPY. (3:1 abs).  

1 Clarke’s HARBETHOL LOOK MAGIC MELODY – pretty 9 months b/r bitch, with well-chiselled head.  Good angulation , short body with good depth for age.Moved soundly and happily. Preferred her balance at this stage to (2).   BP 

2 Clifford’s WYNCASTLES DANISH AFFER OF CHAMFORD(Imp Hun) – 7 months boy, well-grown for age and currently up on the leg. Very attractive head, well off for bone, good front and feet. Nice depth of chest for age.  Coat not at its best. Moved and showed well. 

JUNIOR 

(1)  McGrath-Wells’ MIDNIGHT MASQURADE AT GLENBROWS – standing alone but worthy of his red card. 16 months black dog, maturing nicely. Masculine head with kind expression, good bone and front, and correctly angulated at both ends. Deep chest and short loin. Moved soundly. 

POSTGRADUATE (5:2 abs) 

1 Clifford’s SERCI AFTER DARK AT SHADOW AMOR OF CHAMFORD (Imp SRB) -  b/r dog with lovely balance, Head masculine but not overdone. Excellent front, good bone and feet.  Correct front assembly, deep chest, short-coupled with super topline and lovely stifles. Moved and showed well.  RBOB 

2 Hewitts   CASCADIA CARUSO -  golden bitch, very feminine head with sweet expression.  Correct bone for size. Well-angulated both ends, with a deep chest. Just preferred overall balance of (1). Moved well. 

3 Basingstoke & Austin’s EASTONBAVENT I HAVE A DREAM 

OPEN (3:1abs) 

1 Cassidy’s MANCHELA HUGO BOSS JW,  ShCM – b/r dog whom I have done well before.  Very nicely balanced, shown in good coat and condition. All male.  Good bone, front and feet. Lovely line of neck into topline. Mature short-coupled body. Super stifles. Moved soundly and showed well  BOB 

2  Bavin &  Austin’s ROJOYS CHASE THE DREAM JW,  ShCM – another I have done well before and still liked a lot. b/r bitch with very sweet head and expression.  Well made and moved with style and drive, but carrying a little extra weight today.
