GERMAN WIREHAIRED POINTERS.

PUPPY (6: 4 ABS,) litter sisters and little to choose between them, both with very appealing heads

1 McCullough’s Kimmax Maid the Kut - good neck and forequarters, excellent depth of chest for age.  Plenty of bone, firm topline and strong loin. Well-angulated both ends. Moved soundly. BPIB

2 Donnelly’s Kimmax Who Kares Wins – same remarks apply. Lovely bone, front and feet. I felt 1 had a slight edge on rear angulation, and on depth of chest at this stage.

OPEN (3: 2ABS)

1 Donnelly’s KIMMAX KNOCK YOURSELF OUT   - all male but in no way coarse, presented a balanced picture. Super head, good bone, front and feet, short loin, firm topline,  well-angulated fore and aft, deep body with well-fitting elbows. Moved effortlessly and accurately round the ring. Please to award him  BOB, and delighted to hear that he went BIS

GERMAN SHORTHAIRED POINTERS

PUPPY  (3) This class was a mix of different types.

1 Drysdale’s DRYSIKA FOXTROT - 6 months bitch, very together for her age. Sweet head, lovely bone, front and feet, well-ribbed-up with close-fitting elbows. Good angulation at both ends. Moved and showed well.  BP

2 Hinchcliff’s GOOSEPOINT GIBRALTAR (AI) – solid liver bitch of 7 months. Taller than 1, with an appealing outline. Good neck, well laid into correct shoulder placement, good topline and rear angulation.  Preferred head of 1, who was also more positive on the move.

3 Baines’ HEATHERMARK TAKALA AT SPAROWBRIDGE

JUNIOR (2)

1 Elrington’s BARLEYARCH DORITO – just 13 months but easily made the transition to junior. l/w bitch, very balanced. Typical feminine head, good neck into correct shoulders, good forechest, straight front with strong bone. Good topline and tailset. Moved accurately with style and showed well.

2 Barker’s RADSTORM LEGAL EAGLE – sweet head, preferred front angulation of 1. Strong topline, super rear angulation. Moving rather wide in front today.

POSTGRADUATE  (2: 1ABS)

1 B DORITO

2 R LEGAL EAGLE

OPEN (4:1ABS)

1 Sielski’s ORCHIDSTAR BOND OF SPEED JW – l/w upstanding male, super head, good straight front, strong bone and tight feet, correct forechest. Well angulated front and rear, well ribbed up with deep chest, short loin. A balanced dog moving with style and drive. BOB,  also WINNER RCC STAKES

2 Schoneville’s BALVENIE BELLA JW – l/w bitch, handy size. Pretty head. Good bone and feet with straight front. Deep, mature body well made throughout. Moved well. Would have preferred a slightly harsher coat.

3 Mullen’s ISARA KURZHAAR WHISTLE

IRISH WATER SPANIEL

PUPPY (2)

1 Norman, Stubbs & McLoughlin’s GLOI DONN BOGEY MAN FOR GLENDERRY  - very mature puppy in full coat, presented to perfection. Lovely balanced outline. Well constructed throughout. Super head and expression. Excellent rear angulation. Moved soundly if somewhat over-enthusiastically at times. BP,  BOB, BPIS, BIS3

2 Lavender’s SANTAROCCA FERGUS – not as mature as 1 and coat not so good. Good head and expression. Moved soundly if a little close behind.

LARGE MUNSTERLANDER

PUPPY (1)

1 Edwards’ QUILESTA ORPHEUS – 8 month dog. Head needs time to break, and generally he needs time to mature. Good bone and feet. Fair depth of chest at this stage.  Moderate rear angulation. Eventually settled on the move. BOB
