DACHSHUND (MIN SMOOTH-HAIRED)


Open (6, 1)


1st Mason’s Teckeltown You’re The One: Excellent overall balance with correct height to length ratio. Good head shape with ears high set. Shoulders laid back with correct angulation of upper arm setting the elbows well under the body. Level topline. Well ribbed back. Moved true both fore and aft and showed good drive from rear quarters when viewed in profile. BOB


2nd Mason’s Teckeltown Something Magic JW. Litter brother to winner and on another day could change places. Well shaped head with long muzzle and dark eye. Excellent forehand construction. Deep in brisket. Good length of rib. Just felt that the hocks were slightly better set on the winner and not quite the driving movement. RBOB


3rd Cumberland’s Mumysami Here We Go Again. BP - giving a lot away in age but deserved her placing. Very balanced all through. I would like her tail carried a little lower on the move. BP, PG1 and RBPIS.

1st Stephenson & Sexton’s Molloney Winnie Tergames at Wistex. Good overall balance with correct length to height ratio. Good head shape with slightly arched skull and strong muzzle. Clean neck leading to well laid shoulders and corresponding return of upper arm. Good length of ribcage. Strong hindquarters. Moved well. Coat could be a fraction harsher. BOB


2nd Macklam’s Templestowe Harvest Moon. Well balanced. Pleasing head with high ear set. Strong neck leading to level topline. Well made hindquarters. Not the driving movement of the winner and again the coat could be harsher. RBOB.

1st McPherson & Paterson’s Brumberhill Mr Wilks. Good overall balance - real stallion hound. Head of good length good furnishings. Strong neck leading to well laid shoulder and corresponding return of upper arm with elbows well under the body. Level topline and well set tail. Strong, well muscled hindquarters. Harsh coat. Moved accurately and with drive. BOB

J (3, 1)


1st Dennis-Smith’s Rock N Roll Wizard Da Roseira Brava at Brynnsimeon. Good overall balance. Lean head with slight stop. Long neck leading to well laid shoulder and well placed upper arm. Deep chest with well sprung ribcage and correct tuck up. Moved well on long stride.


2nd Hope’s Demerlay Charming Charlie. Well balanced. Not quite the length of head of the winner. Correct lay of shoulder. Needs to deepen in chest. Good rib and loin with well made hindquarters. Not quite the forward reach and drive on the move.

1st Ireland’s Kaymark Its Now Or Never At Jakile. Well balanced all through. Head of good length with moderate stop. Long, slightly arched neck. Well laid shoulder with equal length of upper arm. Deep chest. Well ribbed back with slight rise over loin. Well made hindquarters. Good driving movement. RBOB

1st Dennis-Smith’s Almawhip To Be A Lover At Brynnsimeon ShCM. Excellent overall balance. Long head with moderate stop and slightly tapering muzzle. Ears correctly set. Long, slightly arched neck leading to well laid shoulders and equal length of upper arm with correctly placed under the body. Good ribcage with well defined tuck up. Strong hindquarters with good width of second thigh and well let down hocks. Moved accurately both fore and aft and demonstrated good forward reach when viewed in profile. BOB.

PG (5, 3)


1st Casentieri’s Lambada Mysterious Talisman (imp). Well balanced all through presenting a typical outline. Head of good shape showing wrinkle above the eyes and muzzle tapering gradually without snipiness. Strong neck leading to well laid shoulders. Good depth of chest with well shaped ribcage. Well made hindquarters with tail highset. Moved on a long stride.


2nd Walker’s Orange Fizz of Swala Pala (imp). At just 11 months old this puppy was giving a lot away in age today. Well balanced all through with correct outline. Super head with good wrinkle and quizzical expression. Long neck leading to well laid shoulder. Correct depth of chest for her age. Movement good in profile - just needs to tighten coming in towards BP.


O (3)


1st Rogish’s Ch Vestoid Sky Yelper. I thought this dog was super. Excellent overall balance giving correct outline. Head of correct skull to muzzle proportions with well defined wrinkle over the eyes. Clean, slightly tapering muzzle. Well set ears. Good length of neck leading to well laid shoulders and good depth of chest with elbows correct placed. Good length of ribcage with correct topline leading to high set tail and powerful hindquarters which he used to advantage on the move showing very long stride when viewed in profile. BOB


2nd Knowles’ Tokaji Classic Trickster at Sarawana. Another top quality dog who on another day could change places with the winner. Well balanced all through. Excellent head with enough wrinkle. Arched neck. Well laid shoulder with good depth of brisket. Deep ribcage carried well back to short loin. Well made hindquarters. Moved well showing good open side gait when viewed in profile. Not quite as tidy as winner coming in towards. RBOB
