Birmingham & District Gundog & Terrier Club
My sincere thanks to the Officers and Committee for this very generous invitation to judge the Gundog Group and breeds listed as this prestigious show. I was thrilled with my entry. The quality of exhibits in the Group was one of the best, if not the best, that I have ever judged at Open Show level. In the judging for BIS, BPIS and BVIS my co judge - Mr Mark Cocozza - and myself were in full agreement on all decisions. My thanks to my hard working stewards both in the morning and afternoon and to all exhibitors for once more affording me the privilege of judging your dogs.

G1 Rudbach’s Micklemess Making Music At Clumbadane. Clumber Spaniel. The first thing you notice about this dog is that there is nothing overdone. He is of the correct proportions, nothing exaggerated and super sound on the move. Well balanced all through. Good head with well set ears and strong jaw. Strong neck leading to well laid shoulders and corresponding return of upper arm. Deep ribcage going well back into short loin. Well muscled hindquarters. When he moved it was sound and fluid - totally at one with his handler and could easily imagine him crossing a field of heavy plough with ease. Pushed the Skye Terrier all the way for top spot but in no way disgraced to be awarded RBIS.
