Puppy Dog 4/1

1st  & BPD Mrs P M A Quant, Arrows Little Cupid

Fawn and white boy who is up to size, he was very raw but had a lot to like.  Masculine head with a lovely long neck leading into well placed smooth shoulders. Correct flowing top line and good tuck up, strong well-muscled rear, moved well once settled.

2nd Mrs P M A Quant, Woodweaver’s Blue Boy

Very similar comments to the winner which makes sense as I later found out they are litter brothers; I just preferred the length and balance of the winner.

3rd Mr R Gray, Trugrays God of Mischief

Special Yearling dog 2/0

1st & RBD Miss J E Manley, Grasampa Turn on The Light

I liked this young dog’s type and quality, lovely masculine head with a kind expression. Long elegant neck leading into well placed shoulders. I would prefer more depth of chest but that will all come with maturity. Flowing top line with lovely curves leading into his strong rear. Very correct on the move with a perfect daisy cutting action which won him reserve best dog.

2nd Miss Needham, Shetorwin a Touch of Tartan

Different type to the winner and of a smaller frame. Nice head with kind eye. Lovely neat coat and curvy top line. Would have preferred a bit more length in loin.

Graduate dog 4/1

1st Miss K Lipton, Cherubim’s Royal Prinz Peter (IMP GER)

Brindle parti male who i liked a lot on the stack. Mature dog of lovely shape and outline. So smooth to go over. Masculine head, good front and strong rear. he needed to settle on the move as his front was becoming a bit erratic.

2nd Miss Needham, Shetorwin a Touch of Tartan

Brindle white trim heavier set dog, pleasing top line. Needs to watch his tail carriage on the move.

3rd MR R Dewey, Willakyme Golden Didier

Limit dog 5/1

1st & BD Mrs A V Sutton, Palmik Hearts on Fire

This dog caught my eye straight away with his type and quality which didn’t surprise me when I looked up which kennel bred him. A super dog of a lovely size so well balanced throughout. Beautiful head and neat fine ear leading into a correct front. Nice spring of pastern and depth of chest with plenty of heart room. Long flowing top line leading into a strong well-muscled rear. His movement was foot perfect and he held his lovely S shaped curves throughout.

2nd Mrs B E C Trouton, Runnel Run for Fun

Another super quality boy who was unluck to meet the winner. Balanced dog of a lovely type. Very smooth underhand with lovely flowing curves. Good front and rear angulation and moved true and sound.

3rd Mrs D T Stephens, Ilbatheez Catteleya Ice

Open dog 7/2

Puppy bitch 1/0

1st & BPIB Mr A Tottle, Priestess Teela.

Fawn and white trim baby who was ultra-feminine. I liked her size and type. Nice head and kind expression, elegant long neck into a good front. Flowing top line and good rear. A lovely sound mover.

Special yearling bitch 2/1

1st & BOB Mrs B E C Trouton, Citycroft Grace Kelly of Runnel.

This bitch had everything I was looking for, the classic whippet shape and elegance and the easy free daisy cutting action with that bit extra showmanship which gave her the edge in the challenge. Beautiful head and neck, the smoothest of shoulders and good depth of chest with plenty of heart room. Flowing top line leading into a well-muscled strong rear. Moved with precision and holding her lovely S shape curves throughout. One I would happily own. Happy to hear she went on to win the group, well done.
