National Whippet Association

I would like to thank the National Whippet Club for inviting me to judge their show and to all the exhibitors for their entries, especially given the testing weather conditions. It was a great privilege to judge this show and a breed so close to my heart. The venue was perfect and the show was run super efficiently. Thank you to my wonderful stewards who kept my ring running like clockwork. I had a few difficult decisions to make and some top-quality dogs to go over.

 MPD 5:0

This was a class of some beautiful puppy dogs.

1st Mr D Wallace Collooney Playing away At Courtbirch

A very young boy who was very testing to his handler, although I could still see his quality and attributes shining through. Masculine dog, who covered plenty of ground. Beautiful head and fine ears flowing into a Lovely long neck, good front assembly, smooth top line with a gentle rise, strong rear. Moved freely and with drive once he settled. Loved this dog’s type, he is one I will watch with interest. I was pleased to award him best puppy dog.

2nd  Mrs E Winstone  Lolani Moonshine Over Monelli

Another young baby who I think was just six months and a day and he took it all in his stride. Unlucky to meet first place today who is more my type but he is still a quality puppy with a lot to like. Nice head and neck, good front and rear assembly which showed in his correct sound movement. Very smooth underhand and in great condition. Great little showman, one who I think will also have a bright future.
