Ashfield (Notts) Canine Society

German Shorthaired Pointer

Junior – 1

1st Bodle’s Tuptonsett Amazing Grace. A nice type with lovely head and eye. Straight front, good bone and well-muscled throughout. Moved soundly and covered the ground. The bad weather caused her to hunch up a little when stacked but looked great in profile on the move (BP).

Open – 2 (1)

1st Beresford’s Tuptonsett Maxamillion. A mature male with great stature. Solidly built with excellent bone and muscle throughout. Correct head and eye, strong muscular neck and good shoulder placement. Correct angles throughout and this showed on the move where he covered the ground with ease (BOB).

German Wirehaired Pointer

Open – 2

1st Lovatt’s Beechillawn I’m Free with Shirostar CW’19. A three year old male of nice type. Classic head and expression. Balanced with good length of body and correct topline. Nice bone and muscle throughout. Coat of good colour and correct texture. Moved soundly covering the ground (BOB).

2nd Lovatt’s Beechillawn Amarillo Starlight of Shirostar CJW’19. This girl was really lovely and similar in type and construction to my class winner, the only thing letting her down today was maturity and her needing to settle on the move to really challenge her kennel mate (RBOB).

Cocker Spaniel

Junior – 3 (1)

1st Sewell’s Kerriglow Dream Again for Quattrozampe. A black male with lots to like. Typical head of correct proportions and lovely expression. Really good bone throughout, straight front and tight feet. Good front and rear angulation. Was really happy on the move and moved soundly. Coat needed to complete the overall picture (BP).

2nd Ray and Challand’s Zheridons Charlies Angel at Annilann. A blue roan bitch of nice type. Lovely feminine head and good length of neck. Compact with correct overall body shape and topline. Slightly finer boned than my winner and although she moved soundly was not as happy  on the move today as my winner.

Post Graduate – 6 (4)

1st Fawcett’s Helenwood Cool Breeze.  A very typey blue roan male. Nice head and expression. He has a short cobby body, with good ribs allowing plenty of heart room. His profile outline is so typical, with a correct topline, short coupled and correctly shaped rump with correct tail set and short hocks. Moved soundly, covering the ground and with a merry tail action. He was my BOB and I was pleased to see him take Gundog Group 2 in a large and competitive group.

2nd Jolly’s Harbethol Look Who Dare Wins. A blue roan male with a nice head. He has good bone and has a nice topline and tailset. Slightly longer in loin than my winner and needs to settle on the move.

Open – 6 (3)

1st Sewell’s Wintonia Hidden Gem at Quattrozampe. A blue roan bitch with a lovely head and expression. Nice profile outline, short cobby body and pleasing topline. Good rear angulation and muscle. Well boned with tight feet. Was sound but not as merry on the move as my BOB winner (RBOB).

2nd Fawcett’s Jayzander Let’s Tan Again. Blue roan and tan male with a nice head. Good length of neck and correct shoulder placement. Nice bone and feet. He moved well, covering the ground and always with a merry tail action. Although nice in profile he was a tad longer in loin than my class winner.
