South Yorkshire Hound Society

A heartfelt thank you to the committee of South Yorkshire Hound Society for inviting me to judge Salukis, and thank you very much to those exhibitors who entered. I enjoyed the day and the opportunity to go over your lovely hounds. My gratitude to the stewards for keeping things in line! 

Puppy- (3,1 Abs)

1st CARYNA REMENY- GARRATT & OAKEY, Mrs D & Miss S.

Pretty black tri coloured bitch, just 9 months and well balanced for age. Good length of neck flowing cleanly into well proportioned forequarters. Good top line and length of loin leading to strong rear. 

Moved even better in challenge and pleased to award RBOB and BPIB. 

2nd IMHOTEP REARS NATURAL JASMINE (IMP BEL)- CHIPPENDALE, Ms O.

Upstanding masculine cream dog of almost 12 months. Well built with good angulation, I found him to be very promising, just a little more raw at this stage than 1. I look forward to seeing him in future when he has settled in his frame. 

Junior (2,1 Abs) 

1st ALISHAMAR ROXANNE- HAMILTON, Ms N. 

 Very pretty and elegant silver grizzle bitch, with appealing dark eyes. Super condition all through, good width through shoulder and pelvis, nice length of stride. Needs to tighten a little more in front which should come with time. 

Post Graduate (2, 0 Abs) 

1st NICOLEFARHI DEL BORGHINO (IMP ITA)- WARD, Ms L. 

Such an attractive and feminine girl, in good condition and happy to be there. Elegant flowing lines and moving out well. At just 19 months she has more maturing to do of course, but she presents a pleasing overall impression. 

2nd ARIANE LUZIA (IMP USA) - FORTNUM, Miss J. 

Good natured and handsome grizzle dog, nicely bodied and maturing well at rising 3. Well matched front and rear angulation, just preferred movement of 1. 

Open (8, 5 Abs) 

1st CLASSICUS ALCHEMY FOR CHARRIOAK JW- DAVIES, HARRISON & SANDERS-PARKER, Mrs H, Miss C & Mrs M E. 

A very classy black & tan bitch, not quite 2 yet but so elegant with a real impression of strength and balance. Good front and rear assembly connected by a strong top line, she carries herself well and moves in a light, lifting and purposeful manner. BOB, and later I was delighted to hear BIS 3rd. 

2nd CARYNA KHEPRI- OWEN, Mr J C & Mrs C C 

A strong and masculine 5 year old black tri coloured dog with distinguished expression. Well bodied and in good condition, front and rear angulation balance and he moved without exaggeration with a purposeful stride.
