Toy Group
1st Hitchcock’s Pug Bobitch Midnight In Georgia. Only youngster, just out of puppy. Demanded to win this group as she never stopped showing and cannot stand wrong. Handled really well to always show off her overall shape. Of ideal size. Cobby in body and not an ounce of fat. Love her head and expression - large round dark eye, clear open nostril, width to jaw which follows through and neat dropped ears. Just right amount of finish to forehead. Slight arch to neck and level top line with tight curl. Moved soundly all ways.
2nd Smith’s Pomeranian Ch Sueacres Bettin’ On Evie JW. Not quite 2 years old. Beautiful head with foxy expression. Small dark, sparkling eye and small ears set high. Very compact and stands square. Moved soundly away and back. Been out of coat and whilst coming back nicely not quite the shape of outline yet to take top spot.
3rd Miller & Ryan’s Papillon Foerlig Smart Cookie JW. Just about to leave Junior and so confident with a great rapport between dog and handler- a total show off. Ultra feminine, elegant and glamourous. Super head with large well fringed butterfly ears. Tail set high and carried ideally to give typical outline. Very light on feet and swift of foot in side gait.
4th Rooney’s LC Chihuahua Parisland The Gigolo with Yorone. 9 month old Puppy Dog. Beautiful head with domed skull and defined stop. Dark, expressive eye with excellent ear set with fringes developing well. Level top-line and high set sickle tail carried perfectly especially on the move. In super condition with coat just right length for age. Oozes correct breed type, moves true both ways and brisk, free profile movement covering the ground with ease.

1st Rooney’s LC Chihuahua Parisland The Gigolo with Yorone. Group 4 see above
2nd Heathcote’s Pomeranian Baromar Jodie Bear. Very confident and a real show off. Foxy expression. Small dark eye. Compact in body with straight front. Well set tail. Coat well developed for age and creates a lovely overall shape. Moved parallel away and back and had a lovely outline on go around.
3rd Rooney & Green’s Japanese Chin Littletigers Innuendo with Jaschin TAF. Loved this confident Chin puppy presented in excellent condition. Liked his overall expression and character. Coat developing well for age with fringes already evident. Ideal head proportions with large eyes of good shape – would like him showing a little white of eye but it was very sunny today.
4th Hunt’s SC Chihuahua Diamonchi Button Moon for Moltobello. What a character – full of personality with a definite cheeky expression. Super head with large dark eye and flared ears set apart to show domed skull. Compact in body with strong level top line and sickle shape tail set high and carried just right. Moved soundly with confidence all ways. The one I could easily have taken home with me. Sure to have a bright future.
Chihuahua (LC)
P (2,0) 1st Rooney’s Parisland The Gigolo with Yorone. BOB, BPIB, G4 and PG1.
2nd Holland-Smiths’ Mysterious Land Monami Diamonchi (imp Lat). Slightly older pup but not as collected on the move as the winner and moving close behind today. Liked the head proportions and ears set. Of ideal size and overall shape.
J (1,0) 1st Swales’ Sleepyhollow Richard at Selaws. Domed skull with large dark eye and well set ears which used at all times. Compact in body and level top line. Didn’t cope as well with the grass and was moving close behind today.
PG (10,5) 1st Holland-Smith’s Oozora Queen Of Mystery JW. Appealed in head and eye with domed skull and well set ears. Compact in body with level top line which held particularly well on move. Sprightly veteran with a very pretty head and expression. Dainty and feminine. Coat well developed in all right places. Loved her attitude as she was a bit of a diva today. Settled enough on move eventually to secure 2nd place.
Chihuahua (SC)
P (3,1) 1st Hunt’s Diamonchi Button Moon for Moltobello. BOB, BPIB & PG4 See Above. 2nd Dewberry’s Cornish Cream. I liked the overall shape and type of this puppy but slightly over-shadowed by the cocky exuberance of the winner. Liked the head shape with obvious dome and well set ears and large expressive eyes. Held top line well. Once settled looked good in profile moving briskly. Just needs to strengthen in hind movement going away.
J (3,0) 1st Smith & Wisnieski’s Bondor Moonstruck. Really liked the overall breed type particularly liked the head with domed skull, well set ears, defined stop and slight point to short muzzle. Compact in outline with well-set tail. Moved parallel away and back but not moving with much attitude today and seemed a little dis-interested in the whole affair which cost further awards today. 2nd Dewberry’s Cornish Cream.
PG (4,1) 1st Holland-Smith’s Diamonchi Shine Like A Star. Bred by same person who bred BOB and head type is very typical with large expressive eyes and well set ears. Compact on body with level top line and well set sickle tail. Moved ok but struggling a little with the grass. 2nd Taylor’s Arkoshi Miss Prim’N’Proper. A close decision as lots to like. Good head and expression. Compact in body with well-set tail. Like the winner was not so settled on the move today but can tell will move better when happier with situation.
O ( 2,0) 1st Hunt’s Moltobello Queen Of My Heart. Conident and showy bitch who pushed the precocious puppy hard for BOB. Lovely head with defined stop, domed skull and short muzzle. Ears set just right and always attentive and large dark eye. Held perfect level top line on move with tail carried high. Moved with confidence to take RBOB. 2nd Taylor’s Somergemz Artic Force. Happy chap who clearly enjoys his food. Liked his head and expression. Did not move with pace or attitude of the winner.
Papillon
P (1,0) 1st Morton’s Ablazzor Lady In Red. BPIB. A baby baby but showed confidence. Super size, dainty and fine boned with good overall shape. Well-proportioned head with butterfly ears and fringing developing. Moved well for her age juts a little untidy in front today but plenty of time to settle.
J (3,1) 1st Miller & Evan’s Feorlig Samrt Cookie JW. BOB & G3. 2nd Green’s Magic Sunrise with Burghbridge. A different type to the winner but much to admire. Of good size and a really good front with straight legs and feet facing forward which was lacking in many today. Preferred the head of the winner.
PG (2,1) 1st Green’s Stagedoor Bonnet. Liked her head and expression with large well set ears and well developed fringes. Held top line well on move and has a well set plumed tail. A good performance and move well away.
O (4,0) A mixed class for size and type and some not moving well at all on the grass. 1st Morley & Hitchock’s Jorgealin Indian Magic at Lizlanmor JW. Liked the head proportions and ear size and set with well-developed fringes and super overall condition to coat. Of ideal size, compact yet elegant and dainty. One of the soundest in the entry and good rapport with handler. 2nd Kirk’s Ablazzor Anel Delight at Kirkchase. Slightly bigger than the winner and a different type. Goos head and fringed ears well set. Level in top line with well-set tail. A little nervous on the table but moved well once settled hence 2nd.
Av NSC Toy
P (6,1) 1st Rooney & Green’s Jap Chin Littletigers Innuendo with Jaschin. Reserve Best AV NSC Toy, BP & PG 3. 2nd Clarke’s ETT Roseofpern A Star Is Born. Unlucky to meet the exquisite Chin as she is an ideal size ETT with correct bone and text book shape stood displaying all the essential gentle breed curves. Thumbprints have run slightly. Handled to her advantage and moved well in all directions.
J (5,0) 1st Howard’s ETT Lasagesse Supersonic. Best Av NSC Toy. Another lovely shaped ETT. A different type to the puppy but still well within height range. Displays excellent correct breed top line stood and on the move. Holds top line well in side gait. Certainly fit for function and presented in excellent condition. 2nd Bagshaw’s Min Pin Bambyto Rosy Apple. In contrast to the ETT this Min Pin has the straighter lines required for the breed. Well-proportioned head with dark eye. Slope to top line and high set tail. Can stand a little overstretched when stood. Moved well once settled with slight hackney gait in profile. PG (6,1) 1st Bagshaw’s Min Pin Bambyto Blackjack. Young black and tan dog build on straight lines. Liked his sloping top line and tail set. Moved well in side gait with slight hackney. 2nd Howard’s ETT Lasagesse Starman. Very similar in overall shape to his kennel mate. Well- muscled and fit for function. Excellent top line stood which he held on the move. Moved really well in side gait showing good extension.
O (5,1) 1st Suggit’s Griffon Bruxellois Ir Ch Aptrick Time For Elevenses JW. Caught my eye for overall breed type. Square and cobby, nice and short all through. Super head and expression. Moved out confidently with a positive attitude. Was in mix for Best Overall but in challenge his breathing became a little impaired in heat of the day. 2nd Botterill’s Chinese Crested Pariansoex Ta Ta For Now. Of ideal size and overall shape. Very elegant and balanced shape stood. Moved with reach and drive. Just seemed a little unhappy and lack lustre today; we all have our off days.
Manchester Terrier
P (3,1) Two very promising pups who should both have successful show carers. Close decision but today 1st Straughen & Cripps Talanors Time To Shine at Mannikai. Of ideal size make and shape. Compact yet elegant and sound on move. Head long and narrow with dark almond eye and ear set high. Just need to break fully but nearly there. Well defined markings and rich tans. BPIB and later Group 2. 2nd Davies & Brown’s Digelsa Dark Indulgence at Wystry. Another with a typical head and eye. Correct top line with gentle rise over loin and low set tail. Again all markings well defined. Moved well in profile but felt winner went away and back better today.
PG (1,0) 1st Hemsell’s Tetani Lux Mundi. In super condition with shiny black jacket, really rich tans and clear thumbprints. Confident outgoing temperament. Not moving so well today and would insist on pacing.
O (4,0) Two worthy champions both in wonderful condition – congratulations to the owners/breeder. 1st Knight’s Ch Talanors Typically Special. And she definitely is. Loved her size and compact shape. Elegant neck with slight crest. Level back and slight rise over loin. Low set tail. Head long and narrow wedge with dark eye. Correct bite and large strong teeth. Ears set just a fraction wide but dropped perfectly so nice and close to her head. Super body condition and clear markings. Moved well in all directions BOB and later Group 3. 2nd Walkers’ Ch Talanors Treat Me Good at Sizlin ShCM. Very similar and really splitting hairs. Winner just had edge today with a little more drive in and extension on go around. RBOB.
