Western Afghan Hound Club Open Show, 6/10/19 Special Award Classes Thank you to the committee for inviting me to judge their special award classes at their open show, this is also part of the mentoring scheme. I have to commend the Afghan clubs that have supported this and myself in the process. It has been very informative and educational. Thank you to the exhibitors for entering their hounds under me – I had some really nice examples of the breed even though the entry was a small one. Puppy (1,0) 1 – Cullen’s Cloudside Sevillana at Eweyisska (AI) Promising bitch who is still very raw at only just six months. Pleasing head and good outline, moved out well for one so young with enthusiasm Post Graduate (2,1) 1 – O’Donnell’s Drishaun Faith is Like a Lily for Javidan JW Pretty bitch with feminine head and correct eye. Strong neck into well laid shoulders. Good angulation fore and aft with a level top line which was maintained on the move Open (4,1) 1 – Swan & Scott’s Arushkhan Dancin in My Heart at Ambeshan JW Well constructed male of 5 years, masculine head, strong neck into well laid shoulders. Moved out well and covered the ground with ease. 2 – Cullen’s Syrdarya Toffy Pop at Eweyisska A dog of smaller mould than 1, but well constructed with good angulation front and rear. Moved out well but felt that 1 moved better today. 3 – Parsons’ Ch Syrdarya Hazelnut Hobnob at Shukriya JW ShCM Andrea Keepence-Keyte (Alandobel)
