English Setter

Puppy (2/1) 1. Williamson’s Hawklawn Snazzy Jazzy, 8 month tricolour bitch, strong front columns, with excellent front assembly, slightly domed head with soft expression, well set ears, excellent rear assembly, well let down hocks, moved very well. BP

Junior ((3/2)

1. As above

Postgrad (3/1)

1. Lawson’s Wansleydale Dorian Gray JW, 2 year old tri male, strong head, good expression with correct bite. Straight columns onto tight feet, well ribbed , strong topline, hocks well let down. Moved very well with excellent head carriage. BOB

2. Hopper’s Bramstorm Forest Sprite, 3 year old male, white and tan, finer type, lovely head, shown in good condition, well angulated fore and aft, very nice mover.

Open (3/1)

1. Williamson’s Hawklawn Kaleidoscope, mature tri bitch, good head, well made chest , moderate construction with unexaggerated angulation , correct size and proportions, moved well which won her placing over the second placed bitch. RBOB

2. Jarvis’ Hawklawn Summer Breeze, really liked this bitch, but she was a little weak in her movement today. She scores in front and rear angulation, with good ribs and strong in loin.

Irish Setter

Puppy (1/0) 1. Davis’ Grayrigge Mystral Wind With Alanasett, 11 month dog, lovely head and soft expression, good forechest and lay of shoulder with correct return of upper arm. Coat in good condition, good rear assembly , strong loin, well let down, nice mover. BP

Junior (3/1) 1. Davis’ Grayrigge Mystral Wind With Alanasett 2. Richardson’s Gwendariff I’m Fool Proof, 14 months, excellent bite, good head, with a lovely neck set onto well laid shoulders. Nicely angulated fore and aft and moved well.

Postgrad (3/2)

1. Savage’s Brabrook Masterpiece At Firefall, 2 year old male, typical head, well off for bone, moderate angulation good mover. Sadly, didn’t give of his best in the ring today, but did enough for RBOB.

Open (5/1)

1. Savage’s Gwendariff The Ringmaster At Firefall, 6 year old strong male, with good bone and substance, well angled fore and aft, well conditioned with strong muscular loins. Nicely ribbed, lovely typical head, just a little heavy in coat for me. Moved beautifully in the big ring for the group. Pleased to award him BOB

2. Stevens’ Follybrook Millenium Star, 5 year old, preferred his head and overall profile, good quality coat, and excellent well let down hocks. Lovely in ribs and loin. Just not the movement of winner today.

3. Jarvis’ Lowdon Fairy Footsteps , A mature bitch, finer type, of good size and well angulated, absolutely stunning head, sadly unsettled in the ring today.

Irish Red And White Setter

Postgrad (3/0)

1. Green’s Zendarric Heart Shaped Box With Viszaset, 3 year old well made dog, excellent neck onto well laid shoulders, nicely muscled and broad across loin, well let down hock with good second thigh. Loved this dog’s head and profile and a great mover. Very pleased to award him BOB

2. Taylor’s Laoirebay Monte Carlo, young dog, showing promise for the future, nice typical head, good for bone, well angulated and lovely profile. Moved well. One to watch as he matures. RBOB

3. Sayer’s Spyefire Yorkshire Lass, young bitch not long out of junior, well off for bone and has good feet, had the best front angulation, soft expression, good head, flowing topline with good croup showed and moved well. Just needs to mature and drop into herself.

Open (1/0)

Taylor’s Laoirebay Midnight Drifter, almost 5 years old, very exuberant today so couldn’t see him move properly. Strong in bone, good angles, good width behind.
