I would like to thank the committee for inviting me for my first judging appointment I had a very enjoyable day and your hospitality was excellent. Thank you to my steward for keeping everything smooth sailing. Finally thank you to all my exhibitors who entered and accepted my decisions.

Puppy (1, 1 abs)

Post Graduate (6, 3 abs)

1st Swans’ Swantonwood Gold Leaf: 12 month old, bitch so balanced for her age and loved her size. Feminine one piece head and kind dark eye, good lay of shoulder and even return of upper arm with a well defined brisket, well off for bone and nice tight feet, good depth of chest and gradual spring of rib leading to a nice short square loin. Correctly angulated behind which abled her to move with excellent drive and so sound when moving. She has a level topline which she held standing, unfortunately not always on the move. She has a correct tail set with a slight slope to the croup. Just needs to mature to complete the picture. Reserve Best of Breed

2nd Delameres’ Gamerights Deep River Blues: nearly 3 year old bitch more mature than 1. She has a lovely feminine head almond shape eyes which could’ve been darker but was very sunny today. She has a good length neck into a well made front, would prefer a better brisket. Nice tight feet. Moderate depth of chest just not quite the depth of 1. Short square loin and well made rear agulation with a good bend of stifle and well let down hocks. Level topline held standing and on the move. In excellent coat and condition. Moved really well just not quite the drive of 1st and unfortunately a little proud of her tail on the move.

3rd Broadbents’ Trapestone Out of the Blue

Open (3,1 abs)

1st Delameres’ Gamerights Memphis Blues: Nearly 6 year old very mature bitch of the correct size, soft expression with a dark kind eye. Excellent length of neck leading to a moderate lay of shoulders and correct return of upper arm, excellent depth of chest, well sprung rib and short square loin. Balanced all through. Good turn of stifle and well let down hocks which abled her to have good drive on the move as well as good reach. Excellent feet. Excellent coat and was well feathered. Super level topline which was held standing and on the move. Best of Breed, and unfortunately but understandably couldn’t stay for the group.

2nd Broadbents’ Hallbent October Toccata ShCM: 8 ½ year old dog, masculine dog with almond shape eye but would prefer a shade darker. Ok length of neck, was slightly upright in shoulder so didn’t quite have the return of upper arm as 1. Good bone and nice tight feet. Moderate depth of chest, good spring of rib and short loin. He has a level topline held on the move and standing. Slight slope to the croup and good set of tail carried well. Good rear angulation, good turn of stifle. Shown in good hard condition but would prefer a bit more coat. Moved ok despite his age with good reach but would prefer more drive. Loved his attitude and ever wagging tail which didn’t stop. Unfortunately he was giving his owner a hard time both in the class and the challenge for Reserve Best of breed
