Thank you for a quality entry. I thoroughly enjoyed judging this lovely breed especially on this occasion when exhibitors were extremely sporting to each other. Thanks to my excellent stewards.

1st: Twigg’s Bamtybo Dark Lord At Teffys. Pleasing overall shape, sturdy with good head balance and well placed nicely sized ears. Graceful length of neck into well developed chest, correct topline. Moderate rear angulation. Moved with style and well handled. Best Special Beginner.

2nd: Davis’s Dimogen De Niro. Was trying to do his own thing by sniffing the ground. Just a touch shorter in leg than 1. Correct eyes. Compact body with enough bone. He just needs time to put it all together.

3rd: Cooper’s Marlipin's Just N' Time

1st: Coull’s Vardenais Sam Spinner. Coming together nicely. Lovely black and tan contrast. Liked his head proportions having dark expressive eyes of correct size for head. Still a touch rangy but this is a maturity thing. Impressive high set tail. Movement settled as the class progressed.

2nd: Mcilroy-Stracey’s Krieger's Elf Fantastico. Close call here between two very promising youngsters. Really impressive head qualities being of great balance but will still mature and I feel ears will fit in accordingly. OK feet at present. Firm topline with gentle slope, well ribbed. Impressive rear angulations. Movement not quite as settled as 1 coming back to me today.

1st: Gentle’s Dimogen Don't Cha Know. This smart red dog immediately took my eye and he continued to impress. He is a very alert and a keen showman being short coupled with an excellent topline, high set tail, sound rear action and was one of the best today for hackney action which was not, in anyway, exaggerated. Proportioned head with flat skull, excellent dentition. Arched neck of ideal length. Perfectly formed small ears set high. He presents a super shape in profile. In fabulous coat and condition. He thoroughly deserved top honours today amongst excellent company and I wish him all the very best in future. DCC

2nd: Reddington’s Kaypin Voulez Vous. Perhaps a touch larger. Attractive head with appealing well placed eyes. Good for neck. Correct topline. OK croup. Careful steady mover and in lovely coat and condition.

3rd: Davis’s Dimogen De Niro

1st: Colborne-Baber & Stark’s Tubize Giovanni. 21 month old red dog of nice size. Balanced head, correct flat skull, with ideal length of muzzle, well placed dark eyes, correctly sized ears. Deep chest, adequate neck, slightly sloping backline as required with correct tail set. Well angulated throughout and moved steadily.

2nd: Park’s Rayjen Carrot Cake. Liked his overall proportions. Strong head, expressive eyes, well placed ears. Lengthy back. Pasterns to firm up a touch. Moderate in angulation throughout .Super coat texture. Strong rear drive.

3rd: Cooper’s Marlipin's Just N' Time

1st: Brown’s Hawksflight Black Russian Black & Tan. Very smart overall. I particularly liked his head proportions, finish and expression. Compact body and lovely coat having clear defined markings. Teeth need attention. Moved in hackney style having a particularly impressive forehand.

2nd: Colborne-Baber’s Borneways Alfred The Great. This lively B/T is smaller and finer, my notes say ‘a pocket rocket’! He produces a super hackney action, and strong rear drive. I just felt that he was pretty enough for a dog. Well handled and nicely presented.

3rd: Neasby’s Hawksflight Island Fox On Ulani

1st: Harrison’s Ch Kaypin Dum Dum Diddle With Trenson JW. Produces a most impressive outline. Super head qualities, excellent neck and shoulders. These all produce an impressive hackney forehand. Solidly made but without coarseness. In the challenge he did not come back to me as precisely as he did when winning this extremely well contested class.

2nd: James’s Ch Jaegerson Dress To Impress. Super for colour and another that possesses many breed qualities. It is not surprising therefore, to find that he, alike the class winner, is also titled. Not quite the shortness in loin as 1, but with an excellent backline and tail set. He is well trained and is certainly stylish. Occasionally, he was a touch untidy in forehand, but a very worthy champion.

1st: King’s Ch Dobenar Pin Up Girl Adurus Sh.CM. Best Veteran. What a darling! At 13 years of age I was so pleased to see her again. I first gave her top honours at a two day Premier Open show many years ago. Today, she was still as keen as ever and has lost none of that wonderful forehand which made her a true ‘Pin Up Girl’. She clearly enjoyed every single minute in the ring and I was delighted to award her Best Veteran In Breed.

1st: Billington’s Bamtybo Bonbon Avec Yrieix. This junior is certainly a happy show girl. Slick, shiny black and tan coat. Decidedly feminine head. Beautifully schooled. OK neck. Well constructed front producing an impressive front action. Well ribbed.

2nd: Twigg’s Monarkle Fire N'Ice At Teffys. Attractive red coat. Pleasing size and shape, balanced head, sufficient reach of neck. Beautifully trained she moved with determination around the ring. Sturdy throughout but top line became a touch soft at times, particularly on the move. Very close call.

3rd: Hurrell’s Churchbank Almost An Angel

MPB (2 Entries) Abs: 0

1st: Santoriello’s Pinicio Tinsel In A Tangle. This 9 month old baby presents such a sharply defined outline. Super clean balanced head, with well placed dark expressive eyes of correct size, all adding to her femininity. Correct length of neck. Well put together front assembly, good shoulders and well ribbed. Holds a firm topline. Well angulated and a careful precise mover.

2nd: James & Adams’s Jaegerson Takes The Biscuit. 6 month old red. Close call here, between two beautiful babies, both being very similar in type. Super for size and shape. She has a beautiful head and expression and this is worth a long hard look. Small ears set high. Compact in body and square in shape. Slight slope to topline. Just not quite as precise going away as 1 today but I was splitting hairs and clearly these two will ‘battle it out’ throughout their show career.

1st: Santoriello’s Pinicio Wrapped In Red. This 8 month old red has such a feminine head, small erect ears and dark eyes fitting neatly into a well proportioned skull. Lengthy arched neck, great shoulders, straight front legs, sturdy pasterns all producing accurate hackney style movement. Beautifully compact she has a deep chest, well ribbed and sports the desired gently sloping top line and perfect tail setting; tail held to advantage. Sound, honest and true on the move in all directions. BCC, BPIB & BOB. I was delighted to watch this diva perform later in the main ring where she was awarded, under two separate judges, G4 & PG4 respectively.
