Manchester Championship Show 2019 Cavalier King Charles Spaniel BEST OF BREED : 2740 RIX Mr B Ch Ricksbury Poldark JW Dog CC : 2740 RIX Mr B Ch Ricksbury Poldark JW Res Dog CC : 2708 LOVEL Mr P F Pascavale Hudson At Lovetrac Bitch CC : 2707 LONG Mrs L & Miss H Arroline Euphoria JW Res Bitch CC : 2664 CLAYDON Mr B & Mrs M A Ch Brymarden Honeybun Best Puppy : 2706 LONG Mrs L & Miss H Arroline Eclipse Best Veteran : 2715 MANGHAM Mrs S Maibee Perfect Touch Of Charnavale JW My co-judge, Espen Engh gnd I were in agreement on all the major awards. I thought the dog and bitch were well matched but in the challenge Poldark just had the edge as he was rather more alert and active on the move. He has a grand head and is beautifully balanced. Shown in good muscle tone and condition. Class 753 MPB (15 Entries) Abs: 1 1st: 2663 CHAPMAN, Mrs M & IRELAND Miss T Ellemich Poeme. Very much a Toy spaniel. Well ribbed and quite compact with a very pretty head and expression. She kept her outline well at all times and is free moving with some evidence of drive from the rear. Silky, well-broken coat. 2nd: 2759 WARD Mrs G Beauco Chantilly Lace. Quite mature and she is an excellent prospect with attractive head, gentle expression, excellent pigmentation and rich chestnut colouring. Very good body and rib, perhaps a fraction longer in loin than the winner but still pleasing for balance and type. Moved out well and she shows and was presented to best advantage. 3rd: 2665 CLAYDON Mr B & Mrs M A Brymarden Breeze Class 754 PB (16 Entries) Abs: 5 1st: 2706 LONG Mrs L & Miss H Arroline Eclipse. A really pretty, well-marked tri of obvious quality and type. Beautifully balanced and pleasing to handle. Really good head with nicely padded lips, decent forechest and good rib and body. Quality silky coat. Free moving and completely fill the eye. I see she is a daughter of Honeysuckle who was my CC winner at LKA 2014 and I could easily have signed a CC for her. Today however, she had to be content with Best Puppy. 2nd: 2729 OWEN Mrs M E Narayden Mystery Girl. B/t and easily the best mover in the class with her free, driving action and well-muscled hindquarters. Attractive head and expression; sturdy, well ribbed, short coupled body. Good coat. 3rd: 2761 WATERS, Miss W & BRYSON Mrs K Sweetbriar Sorbet Class 755 JB (16 Entries) Abs: 3 1st: 2737 RICHARDSON Mrs M E Kringleholme Mosaic. Feminine and pretty with a good skull, lovely eyes and gentle expression, Well balanced with good body and rib. Good quarters with decent muscle tone. Scored here with her flowing, driving action. 2nd: 2677 FOX-SHONE Mr & Mrs A & M Pamedna Remembrance. A really pretty ruby who immediately catches the eye with her good outline 3rd: 2768 WILLIAMS Mrs E D Anickily Anna Rose Sancana Class 756 YB (6 Entries) Abs: 3 1st: 2672 CUNNINGHAM Mrs M Verheyen Harriet JW. A contender for top honours and she is a bitch I could happily sign a CC for. Beautifully balanced and very typical with good skull, large expressive eyes and generous muzzle. Satisfying to handle as she is well made and very sound. Compact, well padded feet. Moves out well and presented in great form. 2nd: 2709 LOVEL Mr P F Lovetrac Boogie Wonderland. A quality true Toy spaniel with a beautifully proportioned head, gorgeous eyes and expression, good pigmentation. Moderate chest, good forehand. Sturdy, compact well ribbed body. Moved soundly. Shown and presented to best advantage. 3rd: 2688 KEY Mrs C Keycav Isabella Rose Class 757 PGB (13 Entries) Abs: 3 1st: 2704 LOADES Mrs R D Rosirius Bluebell. She has a lovely head and expression, pretty and feminine, lovely eyes, nicely padded muzzle, good forehand, well ribbed and short coupled. Moved soundly but could have more drive. Excellent coat and condition. 2nd: 2660 BYRNE Mrs L Chantismere Chanson D'amour. A real glamour girl and she too was presented in gleaming coat and condition, attractive head, good forehand with moderate bone and well-padded feet. Well balanced and moved soundly enough. 3rd: 2728 OWEN Mrs M E Narayden Bianca Class 758 LB (12 Entries) Abs: 6 A really good class. 1st: 2707 LONG Mrs L & Miss H Arroline Euphoria JW. Half-sister to Eclipse and I thought she presented a lovely overall picture. Very pretty. Compactly made and well balanced with good ribbing and completely unexaggerated. Flattish skull with well placed ears, lovely eyes and good muzzle. Excellent pigmentation. Free moving, sound and shown in tip top condition. CC – her second I was later told. 2nd: 2687 HOGAN Ms M Miletree Ophelia At Stavonga JW. Another CC quality bitch with a truly lovely head and expression. Excellent rib and body, strong short loin. Silky coat. Moved well. 3rd: 2678 FOX-SHONE Mr & Mrs A & M Pamedna Eternity JW Class 759 OB (10 Entries) Abs: 5 1st: 2664 CLAYDON Mr B & Mrs M A Ch Brymarden Honeybun. My reserve CC winner last time I judged the breed and I’m afraid her sporting owners had to be content the same award again. Lovely head with a flattish skull, well placed ears and dark expressive eyes. Well ribbed and short coupled with well set, well carried tail. Good quality, silky coat. Moved soundly with some style. Reserve CC. 2nd: 2673 CUNNINGHAM Mrs M Verheyen Heike. Oozed with type and quality and shown in very good coat and sparkling condition.
