The AVNSC classes provide me with some top class dogs and puppies over all four days. It was a real pleasure to judge them. This exhibitor has had some very special dogs in the past and this Maltese is no exception. I gather he already has one CC and I can see why. Lovely head and expression with great pigmentation and dark haloes. Sturdy, cobby body with decent chest and good ribbing. Lovely proud head carriage. His good textured coat is expertly presented and his movement is first class. Best Puppy. 2nd: 1815 TOBIJANSKI Miss J Zippor Doc Jones. Sealyham. Has lots of quality and is very typical in outline and temperament. Grand masculine head and expression. Excellent head and expression, pleasing forehand with good bone and thickly padded feet. Harsh jacket and moved well. 3rd: 1793 DODDS Mr & Mrs B Mcleanwyre Royal Rascal Class 462 JD (5 Entries) Abs: 3 1st: 1807 PARADISE Mr A Rickenny's George Ezra With Shardlow. Pekingese. Good sized skull and pleasing eyes. Good nose pad. Well boned with a shapely body and high set tail. Very typical on the move. 2nd: 1813 SHAW, Mr J, YAU, Mr A & MEE Miss W J Pekehuis Sorcerer. Lovely shallow open face, correct body and good topline. Moved out well and shown in good coat. Class 463 PGD NO ENTRIES Class 464 OD (7 Entries) Abs: 3 A superb class! 1st: 1806 MALZONI, Mr V & BROWNE-COLE Mrs S Ch Travella Laketrix Set To Strike. Really appealing for size, balance and type. The best of heads with small neat ears which are perfectly carried and his small dark eye gleams with anticipation. Clean neck of good length and excellent forehand. Short backed with a strong muscular loin and very good quarters. Presented in an excellent jacket and his clever handler really made the most of his attributes. Best AVNSC and I was delighted to see him eventually win the Group and Best in Show. Congratulations. 2nd: 1803 JACKSON, Miss S & EGAN Ms A Ch Benatone Gino D'acampo. Maltese. A dog I have admired in the past and he was in no way disgraced with his placing today. Not a big dog but underneath his lovely silky coat is a real cobby, well made Toydog. Grand head and expression with good pigmentation. Excellent proud carriage and deportment and he moved with some style and freedom. Reserve Best Dog. 3rd: 1794 EASDON, Mr A & MARTIN Mr P Ch Yakee The Aristocrat Class 465 VD (1 Entries) Abs: 0 1st: 1791 CURTIS Mrs J Ch Brakemill Barnum Sh.CM. Skye Terrier. I believe that he is now the breed CC record holder and it Is easy to see why. Good sized, masculine skull, excellent neck and shoulder, well ribbed body with first class topline. On the move, his footfall is accurate and true. Excellent coat with lovely black points. Class 466 PB (5 Entries) Abs: 2 1st: 1816 TOBIJANSKI Miss J Zippor Grumpy Jones. Sealyham. Good head proportions with a strong jaw and dark, well set eyes. Excellent neck and shoulders, well boned with thickly padded feet. Excellent topline and tailset. Very good on the move and shown in first class coat and condition. 2nd: 1811 SHAW, Mr J & MEE Miss W J Pekehuis Charmed. A really promising Pekingese baby of just 6 months. Lovely open face, nicely cushioned muzzle, compact and shapely and moved out well despite the relatively long grass. 3rd: 1808 PARADISE Mr A Pekehuis Scarlet With Shardlow Class 467 JB (5 Entries) Abs: 2 1st: 1792 CURTIS Mrs J Verumamicus Aurora Of Brakemill JW. A very class Skye who, like her kennel mate, has a super temperament and shows to good advantage. Strong head with dark expressive eyes. Very good forehand with nicely crested neck. Firm topline, ribs extend well back and she has strong, well angulated hindquarters. Good textured coat with lovely black points. Best Bitch. 2nd: 1787 ALLSOP Miss L Pelugias Naughty But Nice. E.T.T. Very typical, pleasing head and expression, shapely body with good tailset and carriage. Dense glossy coat with good rich tan. Faint thumbprints. Impressive on the move. 3rd: 1789 COX Miss V Pelugias Light Up My Life At Petitpaws Class 468 PGB (5 Entries) Abs: 3 1st: 1799 GALLETT Mrs A J E Cyres Aurora Teagarden. Kerry Blue Terrier. Grand head with good eye, keen expression and strong jaw. Well balanced, excellent quarters with plenty behind the tail. Good coat texture and colour. Moved out well with some power from the rear. Reserve Best Bitch. 2nd: 1790 COX Miss V Pelugias The Secrets Out At Petitpaws. E.T.T. Shapely and shown in good condition with a dense gleaming coat. Moved out well, good pencilling and rich tan. Basenji. Very composed and assured with an alert kenn expression. Reachy neck and fine, strong boned forehand with good pasterns and feet. Short back, well balanced and moved with a fluid elegant gait. 2nd: 3567 LARRATT Mr T P Owain Shagrat Dit Shaggy Des Amis De Gaia. A lovely, well grown Hovawart, masculine and handsome with a well proportioned head and kind expression which matched his lovely temperament. Deep, broad chest and well ribbed for age. Moved well with an easy, effortless action. Class 948 JD (2 Entries) Abs: 1 1st: 3560 HARDY, Mrs D & HALLAM Mrs P Tokaji Walking In Memphis. Basenji. Ultra smart with good length of leg, attractive typical head and good length of neck. Short back with good ribbing and pleasing depth of brisket. High set well carried tail with some bottom behind it! Moved out well with an easy fluid stride. Best Puppy. Pleased to see him win B.P.I.S. Strong masculine head, excellent forehand with strong bone. Powerful compact body. Desnse dry coat. Moved well with an easy powerful action. Best AVNSC. Day 2. 2nd: 3576 WILLIAMS Mr B Ch Rarjo Quicksilver. Reserve Best Dog. P.W.D. Excellent head and expression, strong neck, sturdy well ribbed body with well muscled loin. A really good mover. Shown and presented to best advantage. 3rd: 3562 HOWLETT, R, BOGGIA, C, & KOULERMOU, S Misses Ina's Fashion Dedicated to Boughton (Imp) Class 953 JB (1 Entries) Abs: 0 1st: 3577 WILLIAMS, Mr B & CARTER Mrs A Rarjo Red Hot Mama. P.W.D. Very typical head and expression, good nose pad. Short strong neck. Well boned, strong pasterns. Good coat and body for age. Typical profile action just a tad untidy going away from me. Class 955 OB (4 Entries) Abs: 0 1st: 3574 PIKE, Mrs J & CARTER Mrs A Ch Breezelyn Amber. P.W.D. E nthusiastic and energetic on the move with a light, brisk action. Lovely head and expression. Good forehand with deep, broad chest, good spring of rib and strong short loin. Unexaggerated and very typical. Best Bitch. 2nd: 3566 LAMBERT, Mrs F & EASTHAM, Mrs M & CRAIG Mr M UK Swiss Ch Avice Reach For The Sky With Bouvpilot. Bouvier des Flandres. Typcial and well balanced with a grand head, flat skull and dark, well pigmented eyes. Strong, fairly short neck and strong solid body. Moderately angulated, well muscled hindquarters. Best Puppy. Japanese Shiba Inu. Lovely head and expression enhanced by his fairly small, almond eye. Moderate in all respects with a good forehand and strong quarters. Excellent, double coat. Class 1498 OD (6 Entries) Abs: 3 1st: 5343 DUNHILL HALL Miss M S Kaga No Shouji Go Sapporo Kagasou Vormund (Imp). Best AVNSC. Japanese Shiba Inu. Best of heads with a lovely oriental expression. Excellent neck and shoulders. Clearly defined withers and strong short loin. Moved out beautifully with a very light easy action/ 2nd: 5364 WATSON Mrs J & Mr C Calicelesti Casanova Sh.CM. Japanese Shiba Inu. Another of obvious quality and good type. Pleasing head, good legs and feet, well balanced and has good depth of brisket. Impresses on the move with an easy fluid action. 3rd: 5357 ROLLINSON Mrs M Fin & Ir Ch Fandal's Un Amor For Chadbower (Imp) Class 1499 VD (1 Entries) Abs: 0 1st: 5348 HEWETT Mrs L Ch Spellcast Shout About It. Reserve Best Dog. German Spitz (Mittel). Very attractive head with good breadth of skull, small well set ears and dark, sparkling eyes. Very good body and rib. Excellent double coat. True fore and aft and pleases in profile. Class 1500 PB (5 Entries) Abs: 3 1st: 5358 ROLLINSON Mrs M Chadbower Emilia. Schipperke. Keen foxy expression, neat ears. Good legs and feet. Cobby in build and her strong, short loin just gave her the advantage here. Moves very well. 2nd: 5351 MCKENNA, Mrs S & Mr J & FORKNALL Mrs D Tredreas Scotia Princess Among Avidore. Pleasing head and expression, sturdy well ribbed body and firm level topline. Moved out soundly with a very typical action. Class 1501 JB (1 Entries) Abs: 0 1st: 5363 SUTHERLAND Miss S E Witchgait Just One Slice. Shar Pei. Best Bitch. A very promising youngster, good head proportions, clean eye, good breadth of muzzle. Well pigmented. Well balanced with some depth and breadth of chest. Good loin. Moved well with an easy driving action. Class 1503 OB (3 Entries) Abs: 2 1st: 5350 MANNERS Mrs B C Chadbower Nevaeh Lahetti. Schipperke. Reserve Best Bitch. Not quite in her best coat but this well made, typey bitch has nothing to hide. Cobby and shapely with a most attractive head and expression. Shows and moves to good advantage. Spaniel (Sussex). Pleasing head with kind expression. Strong neck which he uses to advantage. Good quality bone. Good depth of chest, ribbed well back and strong hindquarters which gave him some propulsion on the move. A good prospect. Best Puppy. 2nd: 7166 DANIELS Mrs K Ivcar Into The Woods. Spaniel (Sussex). Almost 6 months younger than the winner but he too pleases in head with a lovely clean eye and kind gentle expression (despite the frown!). Body developing nicely and he was free moving with a typical rolling action. Class 1892 OD (2 Entries) Abs: 0 1st: 7169 HIPGRAVE Mrs L Bethryn Night On The Town. Spaniel (Sussex). Best Dog and Best AVNSC. He was my Best Dog when I judged the breed last year and I haven’t changed my opinion of him. Strongly made and workmanlike. Good head proportions with lovely clean, clear eyes. Excellent forehand with good bone and feet. Well ribbed back and he is so typical on the move. 2nd: 7172 SPECK Mr & Mrs J & S Sarscottah Astro. German Longhaired Pointer. Reserve best Dog. Nicely blaanced head with a kind, dark eye and strong jaws. Clean, nicely arched neck and good shoulders. Good depth of body. Well angulated and in good muscle tone. Moved well with a powerful, easy action. Class 1894 PB (1 Entries) Abs: 0 1st: 7171 RUDMAN Mrs J Puntgunner My Girl Friday. Ret. (Chesapeake Bay). A very sweet, typical baby of 7 months. Feminine head and exprerssion with well developed nose pad. Good forehand with breadth and depth of chest. Good ribbing for age. Very typical coat and moves out well with a free, easy stride. Class 1895 JB (2 Entries) Abs: 0 1st: 7173 STIRK Mr & Mrs G & K & Miss Z Gloi Donn Believe In Angels Above Grakar. Spaniel (Irish Water). Reserve Best Bitch. Very composed, well-schooled and really does show to best advantage. Compactly built with a strong yet feminine head and good neck and shoulders. Good depth of chest. Well ribbed and strong, well angulated hindquarters. Free moving and sound. 2nd: 7170 MATTHEWS Miss E Deanway Sweet Rose. Spaniel (Sussex). Lovely merry temperament, pleasing head with clean eye and typical frown. Decent bone and good feet. Well ribbed body. Class 1897 OB (2 Entries) Abs: 0 1st: 7167 FORD Mr M L Sh Ch Cuboglach Petite Wave. Spaniel (Irish Water). Best Bitch. Has good substance, bone and is beautifully balanced. Pleasing skull, strong muzzle. Excellent neck and shoulders. Really well ribbed and short coupled. Displayed both reach and drive on the move and her excellent coat was the icing on the cake. 2nd: 7174 STIRK Mr & Mrs G & K & Miss Z Pharises Keep A Secret For Grakar. Spaniel (Irish Water). Typical in all respects and presents a lovely outline both standing and moving. Not quite the well developed ribs of the winner but she is short coupled and well angulated. Very good coat.
