My apologies to any exhibitors who felt that the judging was rushed but I was conscious that the groups were due to begin just an hour or so after I started judging. My two excellent stewards helped ensure that we finished in ample time for the groups. Class 2508 VD/B (2 Entries) Abs: 0 1st: 8326 DAINTY, Mrs C & HARRISON, Miss J & KHAWAJA Miss Myall Storm. Masculine yet elegant in very smart utility trim which showed off his harsh dense coat to advantage. Long head with well defined chin. Decent forehand with tight, nicely knuckled feet. Good ribs and loin. Free moving with a light driving action. His young handler did a great job in presenting this boy to best advantage. 2nd: 8314 AIKMAN Miss M Ch Afterglow Sweet Tease At Namkia. Very glamourous with excellent pigmentation. Dark, well shaped eye with a lovely expression. Good forehand with some breadth and depth of chest. Good body, some breadth over the loins and well set tail. Moved out well. Class 2509 PD (4 Entries) Abs: 0 1st: 8341 PARKER, Miss C & WINWOOD Mrs K Montego Biffy Clyro. Well pigmented with good f head proportions, dark almond eye. Good neck and shoulders, has some depth and breadth of chest. Tight, well arched feet. Moved out well with a light easy action. 2nd: 8350A Name not in catalogue. Very pleasing head and expression, presents a lovely outline with a short, slightly hollowed back, good neck and deportment. Good coat texture, pleasing profile action. 3rd: 8332 FILLER Mrs N Belleazure Astreus Class 2510 JD (1 Entries) Abs: 0 1st: 8354 WILLIAMS Mr & Mrs D & J Quarlfox Tillerman. A strong well built male with a lovely dense coat of good texture. A shade more neck would give him a touch of elegance. Good body and ribbing. Strong, well developed quarters and pleasing angulation. Once settled moved soundly. Class 2511 PGD (1 Entries) Abs: 0 1st: 8351 VINCENT Mrs S Khyzahra Khal Drogo. Stood alone but has lots of quality and is quite classy. Very impressive on the move as he is absolutely true both up and down and in profile has some reach and drive. Good head with a dark, intelligent eye and very good leathers. Good length of neck, short back and shown in a very good, harsh dense jacket. Class 2512 LD (3 Entries) Abs: 0 1st: 8346 RATCLIFFE, Mrs W V & BOOTH Miss D A & Mrs V J Namkia Thou Art Beloved JW. A delightful Poodle character who really makes his handler work hard. Stylish, short backed and high stationed with a masculine, pleasing head and expression with decent leathers. Good legs and feet. Good hind angulation gave him the advantage here. Well ribbed and once he got into his stride he moves really well. 2nd: 8320 CHU Mrs K Enthony Kobwitler (Imp). Smart and shown in a neat stylish trim which emphasised his harsh dense coat. Good long head with pleasing well shaped eyes. Clean neck and good shoulder. Tight, nicely arched feet. Moved out well. 3rd: 8322 CLARKE Mrs S M Somanic Dancin On A Cloud Class 2513 OD (5 Entries) Abs: 1 1st: 8319 CAMPBELL Mrs L US Ch Dawin All The Buzz. Glamorous and elegant yet a real stallion of a dog. Beautifully balanced with a first class head and expression. Excellent forehand and this gave him the advantage over the bitch CC winner. Very good feet. Well ribbed with a strong, short back and well set tail. His excellent coat was presented to perfection and his movement was absolutely true. His type, deportment and light free action took him to the top today and I was pleased to see him shortlisted in the strong Utility group under Peter Young. 2nd: 8345 PINE-HAYNES Mrs S Ch Safari's Typecast For Vicmar (Imp USA). An old cliché I know but he was so unlucky to meet the winner today as he too is a top quality Poodle. Excellent head, eye and leathers. Very good neck and shoulders, well ribbed with some breadth over he loins. Shown in excellent condition and his movement was exemplary. Reserve CC. 3rd: 8330 DOYLE Mrs E M Haylesdown Halvor Class 2514 GCD/B (1 Entries) Abs: 0 1st: 8322 CLARKE Mrs S M Somanic Dancin On A Cloud. Playful and high spirited this delightful White has excellent pigmentation, dark well shaped eyes. Very decent forehand and is well ribbed and short coupled. Class 2515 PB (6 Entries) Abs: 2 1st: 8342 PARKER, Miss C & WINWOOD Mrs K Montego Hear Say. Litter sister to the Puppy dog winner and she is shapely and feminine with a long, fine head, good muzzle with defined chin. Some breadth and depth of chest. Short back and pleasing hind angulation. Moved out well with a very light, easy action. Best Puppy. 2nd: 8324 CORNWALL-NICHOLLS Mrs A Tasmitch I'm On Fire. Not quite the composure of the winner but appealed for both balance and type. Attractive head and expression, decent body and well angulated quarters. Good quality jacket presented to advantage. Moved soundly. 3rd: 8344 PERKINS, Miss S A & PERKINS Miss E A Belleazure Blue Moon Class 2516 JB (4 Entries) Abs: 0 1st: 8334 HINDLEY Mrs T L Alibama Double Platinum. A lovely elegant silver of obvious quality and type. Her movement was a joy as she has such a light, easy fluid action with some drive and she doesn’t disappoint upon handling. Attractive head and expression with clearly defined chin, good forehand with excellent feet. Well ribbed with a strong, short loin and well angulated quarters. I could have happily signed a CC for her. 2nd: 8352 WELLS Mrs J Volgarus There's A Reason. Has some quality and style. Grand head and expression, excellent forehand, strong well muscled hindquarters. Shown in a dense harsh jacket and moved out soundly. 3rd: 8318 BROOK Mrs C A Sculbrook What Are The Odds Class 2517 PGB (4 Entries) Abs: 3 1st: 8329 DENNISON Mrs S Labamba Melisande JW. Stood alone here but she has the class and quality to withstand good competition. Most attractive head and expression with a lovely eye. Excellent dense coat, well bodied and short coupled with good legs and feet. Moved out well with an easy, light true action. Should finish at the top. Class 2518 LB (7 Entries) Abs: 1 1st: 8333 HARWOOD, Mrs J R & Mr K P & LANGDON Mr P Atastar Rhythm Is A Dancer At Alusio. Reserve CC. Fine long skull, clean well chiselled fore face and very good neck and shoulders. Uses her long neck to advantage, good forehand, short backed with strong, well angulated hindquarters. Tight, well knuckled feet. Her stylish profile action was first class as she does have some drive and she is feminine and appealing. 2nd: 8338 MATTHEWS, Mrs B & LYNN, Mr J & MATTHEWS Mr R Afterglow Alice In Jazz. Lovely feminine head and expression with good chin and dark, well shaped eyes. Pleasing forehand, strong well ribbed body. Excellent jacket. Sound and true on the move. 3rd: 8315 AIKMAN Miss M Namkia Perchance To Dream Class 2519 OB (6 Entries) Abs: 2 1st: 8337 LYNN, Mr J & ISHERWOOD, Mr T & NILSSON Mrs M Ch Afterglow Poppa Don't Preach. A real eye-catcher with the most lovely head and expression. Excellent pigmentation. Nicely arched neck gave her a proud, dignified bearing. Strong well ribbed, short coupled body. Excellent hindquarters with good angulation and muscle tone. Her profile action is a joy to see as she is light and uses her quarters to best advantage. CC. 2nd: 8316 BARKER Mrs L Crystalar Blooming Gorgeous. Long elegant head with a lovely expression. Pleasing forehand with good legs and feet. Well ribbed but a fraction longer cast than the winner.
