Windsor Championship Dog Show 2019 Japanese Spitz Judge: Mrs Sheila Jakeman

Despite its recent increase in popularity the breed type appears to be remaining recognisable and consistent, certainly through this very nice entry. One thing that did concern me is the poor quality of action almost throughout the exhibits very few of them moved with a typical and true gait fore and aft. I know they do not have a job of work to do but it would benefit each individual dog to have sound action and thus be a healthy mover all its life, untypical action is likely to put some form of strain on the limbs in time. That said they are not lame and thus I just had to bear the failing in mind when making my placings. Thank you for the sporting way in which you all accepted my decisions.

Beautifully presented and has a lovely head with good bite, full dentition and great pigmentation. Pleasing neck, shoulders, spring of rib and level topline. Well carried plume. Not the best of movers, what a shame.                                                                                     Class 2434 PD (4 Entries) Abs: 0 1st: 8077 TURNER Mrs D A & Mr P Mayumi's The One And Only Well grown with a masculine head with good stop and nicely set ears. Good once he settled down on the move. 2nd: 8038 CHESTER Miss L Tawvale Fubuki At Camylaw This is a biggish boy with a most impressive coat which is beautifully presented. Pleasing in head and well bodied. Standing somewhat long but this may be just the way he placed his forequarters. Not too bad on the move. 3rd: 8059 MOTT, Miss L & NEWTON Mr M Marymay Bushu At Anlemar (Imp) Res: 8039 CHUDLEY Mrs K Kabocha Peter Pan                                                                                                                     Class 2435 JD (3 Entries) Abs: 0 1st: 8066 PROUT Mrs D Maho Mirai Luke At Kessaku Well up to size and nicely made all through. He also moved well on his second attempt. Has an excellent coat and a masculine head with everything balancing nicely. 2nd: 8025 ASTON, Mr R & BRADLEY, Miss K & BOWEN Mrs A Glamglow's Gifted One This one is a nicer size but he was lacking a bit of confidence today. Very well presented and well made all round, very close up to winner. Moved in the same fashion. 3rd: 8044 FERRY Mrs & Miss S & J Glamglow's Dare To Dream For Ferrybelle                                                                                                           Class 2436 PGD (5 Entries) Abs: 0 1st: 8058 MOOTAZ Mrs S G Charney Tsukino With Tazapash Appealed straight away, beautifully presented full jacket. Good in head with correct skull, nice stop and enough fullness of muzzle to make him masculine. His front assembly is very pleasing and he is well sprung in ribbing. Well boned with good tight feet. He has a lovely tailset which helps to give the overall balanced picture. Moved really well in both directions. CC & BOB 2nd: 8078 TURNER Mrs D A & Mr P Mayumi's Simply The Best This nicely coated boy is just slightly longer than the winner. Pleasing head with good skull and small ears. Good front with well boned legs and nice tight feet. Well sprung in ribbing and high set on tail. Pleasing on the move. 3rd: 8037 CASTORINA Mrs A Charney Taka Res: 8042 CHURCH Mrs T K Sanyinko Winter Star VHC: 8064 NORTH Mrs Z T & Mr S J Tawvale Taishita                                                                                                                                                                                                                    Class 2437 LD (8 Entries) Abs: 0 1st: 8033 BLISS Mrs S Charney Tamotsu This well balanced exhibit has a lovely head with dark eyes, good stop and well shaped skull, nicely placed ears giving pleasing expression. Nice neck leading into well constructed forequarters with correct angulation and complimentary angles at the rear. Shapely ribcage which might just develop a little more as he is only just out of Junior. Super tail set. Really good on the move. 2nd: 8035 BLISS Mrs S Glamglow's Does It With Style at Charney JW I loved this one for make and shape, he has a slightly softer expression than some males with super dark eyes and thick stiffly held ears. Well constructed all through and nice on the move. May just have slightly flatter feet than is ideal. 3rd: 8079 TURNER Mrs D A & Mr P Anlemar Bold As Brass Of Mayumi Res: 8065 PITTOCK Mrs T Itoshi Toto Kijutsu At Cheechako (ai) (Imp) VHC: 8031 BAMBRIDGE Mrs P Tartiko Singapore Sling JW                                                                                                                           Class 2438 OD (5 Entries) Abs: 1 1st: 8049 FRASER Miss L G Ch Leymun Telkoku Boy This boy oozes quality all through, lovely type head with dark eyes and well set on ears. Correct for size and presents a super outline. Well constructed in front and equally good at the rear which also meant he could move well. Beautifully presented. Res CC 2nd: 8034 BLISS Mrs S Charney Chanresh Loved the style of this one, great legs and feet with a tad more angulation at the rear than some. He is balanced in outline but does not quite have the depth of body of the winner. Lovely in head with darkest of eyes and good dentition. Nice on the move. 3rd: 8026 ASTON, Mr R & BRADLEY, Miss K & BOWEN Mrs A Glamglow's Charming As Ever Res: 8045 FERRY Mrs & Miss S & J Dunlin's Quando Of Houndbrae With Ferrybelle (Imp                                                                                                                                                     Class 2439 GCD/B (2 Entries) Abs: 0 1st: 8066 PROUT Mrs D Maho Mirai Luke At Kessaku See JD repeat 2nd: 8085 WARREN Ms S Kessaku Scooby Doo Well up to size and carrying a good coat. Has strength of neck and good front. I would prefer smaller ears. Tended to move rather close at the rear.                                                                                                                                                             Class 2440 PB (6 Entries) Abs: 1 1st: 8061 MOTT, Miss L & NEWTON Mr M Anlemar Luna Eclipse At 8 months she is maturing nicely, beautifully balanced and correct for size. In quality coat which was well presented. BP 2nd: 8046 FERRY Mrs & Miss S & J Charney Snow Angel With Ferrybelle Another of 8 months who showed very well. Attractive in head with neat ears and good dark eyes. Well boned and nicely balanced. Correct for size, typical in head with good skill, neat well sett ears and darkest of eyes. Enough neck beneath her ruff, level in topline and well sprung in body with good legs and feet. Correct angulation fore and aft and moved very well in both directions. Immaculately presented. CC 2nd: 8028 ASTON, Mr R & BRADLEY, Miss K & BOWEN Mrs A Llwyni Love Story For Glamglow Different in type as she is more up on the leg but still typical with good head, bite and pigmentation. Nicely boned and with excellent tailset. Correct for size, well sprung in body with a good tail set. Head balances nicely with correct wedge shaped muzzle separated with a moderate stop to good width of skull. Moved out with decent width and true coming forwards as well. 2nd: 8081 TURNER Mrs D A & Mr P Mayumi's Too Hot Too Handle Coming from the same kennel but not closely related to the winner. Pleasing in type but somewhat finer boned than some. Well off for neck and has correct shoulders and nice angulation at the rear. Moved fairly well in both directions. 3rd: 8050 FRASER Miss L G Tawvale Enzeru Res: 8062 MOTT, Miss L & NEWTON Mr M I'm Haveing The Time Of My Life At Anlemar VHC: 8076 STEVENSON-REYNOLDS Mrs R Keagwyn Vashti's Dream                                                                                                                                                                                                                           Class 2443 LB (7 Entries) Abs: 0 1st: 8036 BLISS Mrs S Charney Asterodea I noted “what a class!” such a nice selection which must often change places. I thought this one really typical with great quality, good type and a lovely head. Beautifully balanced with good tailset. Super bone, legs and feet but she does herself no favours when standing, spoiling her rear most of the time. Moved in typical fashion and reasonably true. Res CC 2nd: 8073 SPRATLEY Mrs C Charney Leilani Another one oozing quality. Size was good and head very typical with the darkest of eyes, well set ears and good expression. Pleasing neck leading in to well sprung ribcage of good length. High set on tail carried nicely. Well boned. Pleasing on the move but just a tad close at the rear, 3rd: 8032 BAMBRIDGE Mrs P Kessaku Betty Boop At Tartiko Res: 8029 ASTON, Mr R & BRADLEY, Miss K & BOWEN Mrs A Glamglow's Devil In Disguise VHC: 8051 FRASER Miss L G Tawvale Daichi                                                                                                                                                      Class 2444 OB (11 Entries) Abs: 1 1st: 8071 SMITH, Mrs J E & SMITH Miss J Ch Kessaku Bread And Honey At Snowshoes Sh.CM Another excellent quality class where this one scored on good movement. Has a lovely head with perfect mouth and pigmentation. Neck, ribbing and overall shape are just fine. Coat enhances her shape and makes her appear somewhat heavier boned than she is. I would like her tighter at the elbows but this did not detract fr9om her movement. 2nd: 8053 FRASER Miss L G Tawvale Wini Another whose type is very pleasing. In quality well presented coat. Good bone and feet. Well made forequarters and nice angles at the rear. A bit playful today and not quite concentrating on the task. 3rd: 8084 TURNER Mrs D A & Mr P Melinas Viva La Vida At Lilryecontye Res: 8048 FERRY Mrs & Miss S & J Ch Ferrybelle Natsu Hikari VHC: 8067 PROUT Mrs D Bellsperar Starr Whisper At Newstart
