Class 2217 MPD (4 Entries) Abs: 0

1st: 6645 HALLIDAY Ms M J Yennadon Barra

Smart young chap with a lot to like about him. Head is masculine, lovely dark eye and has plenty of work so should finish well. Neck is long and well set into his shoulders, which are well back. Good front assembly and stands on well boned legs and neat feet. Well-made through the body with ribs well back. Quarters developing well with good angles. Held his topline and tail well set. Moved out well for his age.

2nd: 6673 SEYMOUR Mrs G M Pegasett Celtic Dragon

Another nice puppy, not quite the head of the winner at this stage but has plenty of time to develop. Clean neck in to well set shoulders. Good angles on him front and rear. Body developing well with good overall proportions. Topline level, just would have liked a slightly better finish to his croup. Good action in profile just need to find his feet.

2nd: 6658 MILLAR, Miss L & MILLAR, Mr & Mrs N & M & SCOBIE Yennadon Calvay

Stood third in the minor puppy class and giving a lot away in maturity. Decent head shape on him, his eyes need to darken a little but should do that as he matures. Well made overall with good proportions. Correct for bone and overall substance, today in hard condition. Moved out well.

3rd: 6630 BEESE Mrs S K Hernwood Xmas Drummer at Ashheys

Class 2219 JD (4 Entries) Abs: 0

1st: 6676 SMITH Mr A D Palangor Moonlight Shadow

Another smart young man with a clean outline. His head is masculine with a lovely dark eye and with good tans. Neck is well made and leads into well set shoulders. Good overall front assembly with correctly boned legs and neat feet. Well-proportioned body with topline level and tail is set on correctly. Moved out very well with good action and decent footfall.

2nd: 6684 TIMMERMANN, Mrs S & WHITING Mr K Locksheath Back in Black

This boy has a lovely type about him. I liked his head and expression. Head is of good shape with a kind eye. Good through the neck into a well-made front assembly. Good depth to chest for his age. Legs are well bone and feet oval. Correct overall body proportions just a shade soft in topline today. Good angles front and rear. Moved out well once he got his act together.

3rd: 6639 COPS, Mr J & WHITING Mr K Locksheath Black Ice

Class 2220 GD (4 Entries) Abs: 0

1st: 6627 ALCORN, Mr D & CROWTHER, Mr D & MACARA Mr & Mrs Lourdace Headhunted By Cromasaig JW

This is a very smart young man, so much to like about him. Very clean in outline with correct overall proportions. I liked his head piece, masculine expression with a lovely kind eye and good tan. Clean through the neck in to a well-made front. Standing on well bone legs with super feet. Shoulders are well set with a good return of upper arm. Correct depth to chest for his age. Body well made and ribbed up. Level topline with a good finish to his croup. Quarters well developed, moderately angled, not overdone in any way. Moved out well with a good action and footfall. I think he is a really promising youngster, pushed the open winner but not the maturity, so had to be content with the RCC. I think he will have a very bright future ahead of him.

2nd: 6670 SANDIFORD, Mr & Mrs P & C A & SUTHERLAND Mr A Harbinger's Highland Treasure (Can Imp)

This young man presented a clean outline. Head still developing at the moment, not overdone in any way. Has a firm neck in to a well-set shoulder with a good lay-back. Front straight, leg well boned. Needs to drop in to his front but correct for his age. Body proportions correct, ribs springing as they should and loin firm, held his topline well. Quarters well developed with stifles well bent. Moved out well in profile just needs to tighten in front.

3rd: 6639 COPS, Mr J & WHITING Mr K Locksheath Black Ice

Class 2221 PGD (8 Entries) Abs: 0

1st: 6642 ELLINGTON Miss J R Benbuie Thornbird

Super type of dog, my notes say all Gordon. Presents a lovely clean outline on the stack. I liked his masculine head and expression enhanced by that lovely dark eye. Good neck in to shoulders, which are well set and has depth to forechest. Body well made with a decent spring of rib and level topline. Coat in good condition with well defined tan markings. Liked him in profile but needed to be a little tidier.

2nd: 6682 TIMMERMANN, Mrs S & CORNUM, Mrs R J & MIKA Mrs C Munroc Beretta Jun Ch

This chap looked smart standing but didn’t have the movement of the winner especially as he came towards me. Standing he has a clean outline, masculine in head and expression. Neck firm but a little throaty. Front construction is OK, but I would like a shade more lay-back of shoulder. He has good depth to chest. Ribs well sprung and topline firm. Quarters well developed.

3rd: 6660 MUNRO Mr L&E Hernwood Northern Adonis Of Dulmaur

Class 2222 LD (5 Entries) Abs: 2

This chap presented a balanced picture, clean in outline. Masculine in head with a lovely dark eye. Good in neck in to well-set shoulders, would have just liked a little more lay-back. Depth to forechest, ribs well sprung. Moderate quarters. Moved well in profile holding his topline, would have liked him a little tidier as he came towards me.

2nd: 6661 McAVOY Mr W H Laurelhach Bemm

Nice type of dog, head is a little strong for my tastes. Well made throughout with a good topline and overall finish. He excelled on the move, has both carriage and presence. Super in profile and accurate footfall. Close up to winning the class.

This was a fabulous class this was it was a privilege to judge.

1st: 6633 BOXALL Mrs F Sh Ch Ludstar Frederick Frankenstein (Imp) It

This dog needs no introduction from me, he walked in to the ring with attitude and it was clear he was on top form. He is very striking in outline. Glorious head piece on him, masculine without being overdone in anyway. Clean neck in to correctly placed shoulders. Good depth of forechest, elbows well let down and close to his body. Stands on well boned legs. Body well made with ribs well sprung and a firm loin. Quarters super, good tail set and stifles well bent. Moved with power around the ring with that free moving action that I was looking for. Coat in excellent condition with good tan. He could not be beaten today, so my DCC winner, many congratulations.

2nd: 6635 BUTLER Mr & Mrs K D & C E Sh Ch Yennadon Lochan At Rubymoon JW Sh.CM

Another one out of the top drawer who really impressed. He is a lovely type with a pleasing head shape and lovely kind eye. Well-made throughout with level topline and tail set on correctly. Super angles front and rear. Coat in good condition with good tans. Moved out well with good footfall. Would have liked him a little harder condition, close up for the RDCC.

Super head piece on him with a kind masculine expression. Balance angles, super front construction and body proportions. Depth to chest and ribs well spring. Moved covering the ground the ground well.

1st: 6649 MACARA, Mr A & Mrs K&J & JAMIESON Mrs L Cromasaig Daisy's Choice

A cracking little lady with a lot to like about her, very feminine in head with a pretty expression. Plenty of substances about her at this age. Well made with balanced angles front and rear, level topline and well set on tail. Clear tan markings. Really good on the move with accurate footfall. Pleased to make her my Best Puppy, should have a bright future ahead of her.

Clean in neck into well set shoulders, good front assembly on her with correct depth for her age. Body well made, ribs springing nicely, topline level and tail well set on. Stands on well boned legs with good feet. Coat in good condition with clear tans.

2nd: 6677 SMITH Mr A D Palangor Moonlight Sky

This lady was giving away a lot today, rather raw but has the essentials in the right places. Balanced angles front and rear and moved out well. Just needs to find her confidence to complete the picture.

2nd: 6653 MC QUILLAN Miss W Kelsnnor Kissin Dynamite

Pleasing head on this young lady, eyes just needed to be a shade darker. Overall a typy bitch but would have liked a little more angle both front and rear. Legs well boned and neat feet. Good tan markings. Moved soundly holding her topline well.

Class 2230 PGB (8 Entries) Abs: 0

1st: 6625 ACKERLEY-KEMP Mrs N Yennadon Glenlossie

I liked this lady, but she was really giving her handler a tough time on the stack. Lovely type about her and a beautiful shaped head, would have liked her eye a shade darker. Good through the neck into a decent front assembly. Depth to forechest, ribs well spring and level topline. Stifles well bent and good muscle tone. Moved out well to win the class.

2nd: 6687 WHITING Mr K Locksheath True Baloo

Another sound mover in this second placed bitch, she has a lovely outline and overall balance. Head shape is pleasing, with a good finish to her foreface but a tad strong in back skull for my tastes. Clean outline, neck in to shoulder good, level topline and correctly set tail. Quarters well made with good angles which she used to give her sound action.

3rd: 6654 MC QUILLAN Miss W Kelsnnor Scarlet Jezebel

Class 2231 LB (9 Entries) Abs: 1

Anther super class where I was spoilt for choice.

1st: 6647 INGER, Miss L & GLOVER Mr S Jalewla Juniper Tree

Well made bitch who won the class on outline and movement. Presented a clean picture on the stack with good overall balance. Feminine in head, enhanced by a good eye to give a beautiful expression. Neck in to shoulders was super with shoulders well-placed. Good front make-up, well bone legs and depth to chest. Body well made, ribs well sprung and a firm loin. Topline level and tail set correct. Quarters well developed, stifles well bent and short from hock to heal. Good, well-defined tan markings.

2nd: 6626 ACKERLEY-KEMP Mrs N Yennadon Reiver

Nice type of bitch who presents a balanced picture. Head well shaped with good definition, would have like her eye colour a shade darker. She has good angulation front and rear and balanced proportions. Quarters well-made with stifles moderately bent. Moved out well, held her topline just a shade untidy as she came towards me.

3rd: 6675 SLAUGHTER Mrs Y C Cairacailie Night Of Love With Ordett JW

Class 2232 OB (5 Entries) Abs: 0

There were some cracking bitches in this class and the decision could have easily gone another way on a different day.

1st: 6638 COLLINS-PITMAN Mrs J Sh Ch Amscot Love is in The Air JW WW18

I have to admit I didn’t realise this was the same bitch I had judged in Germany last year when she topped the breed there. She was with a different handler and has had the benefit of another year’s maturity. Today she really put in a top-class performance and took my eye. She has a beautiful head and expression, enhanced by a lovely dark eye. I thought she was well made throughout, clean neck in to well set shoulders. Correct depth to chest and straight front standing on well bone legs and well-made feet. Body correctly proportioned, ribs well sprung and a firm loin. Held her topline throughout. In superb coat and condition, just gleaming. Correctly angled quarters which she used to drive off round the ring, to give her effortless movement. Today was her day and I could not deny her the BCC and Best of Breed. Delighted to watch her later take Group 4.

2nd: 6665 PHILLIPS, Mrs A & WATKINS Ms T Flaxheath Top Model at Glenmaurangi

Another bitch out of the top drawer, still young and giving way in maturity and finish. As with the winner she had a beautiful clean outline and that touch of glamour. Head pleasing with a lovely kind eye. Super shape with good angles front and rear. Excellent front construction, stands on well bone legs and feet. Body well made of good overall proportions, topline and tail set spot-on and super quarters with well bent stifles. Super movement on her and well handled to advantage.

3rd: 6634 BOXALL Mrs F Sh Ch Laurelhach Entrapment JW

Class 2233 VB (4 Entries) Abs: 1

1st: 6671 SANDIFORD, Mr & Mrs P & C A & LEWIS Miss C Sh Ch Hernwood Calypso Goddess JW Sh.CM

One I have seen from the ringside many time and always admired, now a veteran was delighted to see her here today. She has a beautiful head and expression with a super eye. Clean in outline, her neck flows in to her well-placed shoulders. Correct depth to her forechest and stands on well boned legs and super feet. Body of good proportions with ribs well sprung and a firm loin. Good well-developed quarters with stifles well bent. Moved out well in profile belying her age, just a shade untidy in front action so lost out to the Open class winner in the challenge. Delighted to award her the RBCC and later Best Veteran. Thank you for bringing her.

2nd: 6632 BORTHWICK Mrs M J Dunfionn Pabay

Another grand lady enjoying her day out, really nice type of bitch with clearly defined tan. Lovely typical head on her with a super eye to give that feminine expression. Moved out well, true on the out and back. Really well handled to advantage. Just lost her topline a little on the move today.
