Thank you for a lovely entry. I was very pleasantly surprised at the quality of the entry especially in males. I can not remember the last time I judged any breed and thought the quality of males had improved significantly. Not only was the quality better overall, size and substance was much more uniform and heads were markedly improved especially in males. Masc, with no coarseness, defined stop and strength to muzzle with balance to skull. No narrow skulls and lack of stop, which was becoming worryingly common. Well done, it was a pleasure to judge the breed and the exhibitors could not have been more sporting.

B/who dog. Moderate throughout and square. Good head proportions and defined chin and stop giving correct expression. Good topline and feet. Steady sound mover. 

2nd: 7203 TONGE Ms J Kybo In Cahoots with Aonachmor Sh.CM 

Unbelievably 14 years old and in outstanding body condition and not just for his age. He put a few youngsters to shame. Really enjoys himself and full of life. Exc coat, good topline and moves well.

Two very nice puppies and a very close decision. Both dogs of correct size, moderate and sturdy. Both had lovely heads and expressions. 1st won on movement and carriage but I do hope he comes up on leg a fraction to complete balance. 2nd was more square but needs to strengthen a little in the rear with maturity but has an excellent front.

Exc size and substance. Balanced construction with exc topline, tail, feet, coat and movement. Lovely head and expression and again I am being ultra picky but when he comes up on leg and gains a fraction more will complete the picture.

2nd: 7138 BRIDGES, Mr A M & ROSE-DAWSON, Miss C A & ROSE M Sanchara Ignite The Light At Araki 

Exc head, would prefer darker eye. A little bigger than 1st but again has good balance and an exc topline and tail with a good body and ribbing. Sturdy with no coarseness. Just thought 1st was a little more fluid on the move.

Excellent size, proportions outline and balance. Moderate and totally balanced with nothing overdone. Lovely head and eye, neck, topline and tail. We’ll sprung ribs and well filled in front. Lovely classic outline and keeps his shape on the move. Stylish free moving dog 

2nd: 7184 OHM Ms C Palshar Jumping Jack Flash 

Lovely head proportions and correct expression. Another good moving dog. Good topline and decent spring of rib. Should develop a little more width in front with maturity. Just preferred more compact outline of 1st

I thought this puppy so very special. He has everything I want. Leg length coupled with a square body and a good strong rib cage, with just enough neck to arch and give a look of quality and style. Lovely head, eye and expression. Topline and tail are correct and he is so powerful on the move yet does it with an easy stride and no effort. I considered him in my mind for major awards today but there was too much quality in more mature exhibits. He should have a very bright future. 

2nd: 7185 PRICE, Mrs J & LEESE, Mrs T & BARRON Mr A Araki Brass Barabass 

He was being a bit of a handful. Good head, strong and masc with no coarseness. Coat going through a funny phase and was playing up on the move.

Medium sized moderate dog. Would look better with less coat as his outline is ok underneath all the coat. Moved ok with a moderate balanced stride. 

2nd: 7133 ANDREWS Mr R Lasang Rough Justice 

Good head, topline and tail. Would prefer a little more leg length and moved well but just lacked energy today.

Very honest dog who is square and balanced. He is absolutely at the top for size but still retains typical silhouette. Good head and eye. Exc topline and tail and exc free powerful mover. Considered him hard for CC and res CC but he is just carrying a little too much weight. His neckline will just be a little smoother if he gets a pound or two off and he will look better for it. 

2nd: 7192 SINCLAIR, Mrs A & BARRON Mr A Araki Blueprint Boy 

Nice for size and substance but preferred proportions of 1st. Good head shape and eye shape. Good neck, topline and tail and feet. Moved well to earn 2nd in a very good class.

I love his shape and balance. Square as a box with the leg length proportions I like. Exc depth and spring of rib, sturdy body with good topline and tail. Preferred head on 1st. He moved well but just seemed to lose concentration as the class went on and his movement and head carriage were not as good as when he first moved around the ring.

An old favourite of mine. Fem with substance. I think she has improved with age. Her head has strengthened with maturity, still has a great topline and that same easy effortless powerful movement she always had.

Lovely size and balance. Very feminine in head. Lovely body condition and coat with exc topline and moved well. Unlucky to meet 1st

Really difficult class. Three very nice bitches for different reasons but all very different to each other. 1st is lovely and square, fem with a good head and eye. Moderate and very steady and together on the move. Not as heavily coated as the others so it made her look less stylish and exciting but her shape and movement were the most steady. 2nd is a classic beautiful type black bitch who has leg length and totally square . In exc condition and very glamorous with lovely head and eye. She is very raw and was not so collected on the move as 1st but to be honest she is a baby and has all the time in the world. 3rd was so good on the move and had a great body on her but just stands over a little too much ground which will hopefully come right with maturity. I am sure these three bitches will change places from week to week depending on performance that week and judges preferences.

Lovely head and expression. Sturdy but a shade longer cast. A little up on her toes at the moment and needs to drop into her front. She is a good steady mover, keeping her outline

Lovely bitch who has strength all through yet still feminine. Lovely head proportions again fem with strength. Arched neck that she uses to full advantage, standing and moving. Exc front construction and balanced rear. Leg length, topline, coat and is sound and free flowing on the move. Exc depth and ribbing. Would prefer if her tail was raised a little off her back.

Lovely feminine bitch. Not quite so mature as the winner. Good head, neck, topline and rear. Very stylish in profile and has good length of stride. Good feet.

Very balanced moderate bitch. Good head and eye, topline and feet. She is a very good mover from all angles. Just going through an in between stage coat wise and appears to lack a little finish against the fuller coated juniors but very honest and correct bitch.

Exc size and lovely to go over. She has substance throughout yet still feminine, in many ways very similar to the CC winner. Beautifully constructed and its shows on the move. She has a powerful effortless stride and good carriage. Exc topline and ribbing. Going through an awkward profuse coat change which gives an illusion of length of body but it is virtually all hair. She is a fraction off square when you get under the coat. She just needs time.

Lovely proportions and clean outline. Nice light easy mover. Good head, eye, neck, topline. Very nice bitch standing and moving just thought 1st had a little more scope on the move. But close decision

These two bitches are very similar in many ways. They have very similar outlines and proportions, just a shade off square but perfectly acceptable. Both very feminine, with feminine heads and lovely expression. Exc for size, moderate, balanced very honest and correct. 1st was a little more fluid moving which is why she won but it was a close decision. They both have substance but of a much more feminine nature and in keeping with their size and build
