Standard Poodles

Dogs

Puppy

1: SCHPINDEL` CATTITUDE (MISS D & MISS E TAWSE MORRISON), 10 month old black with lots of style. Super head and expression. High stationed he just needs to fill in chest. Carries himself well in profile.

2: NASUS PRIZED TOPAS AT TUSSARS (MR R & MRS L CRAWFORD), nearly 10 months old and just not the carriage of the winner. Coat of good texture, but a little more tailoring would be to his benefit. Pleases in expression.

Post Grad

1: STARENE RANTIN ROVIN ROBIN (MR B & MRS A MCLACHLAN), full of fun and mischief. Decent for size and shape and his tail carriage is to be commended. Coat of good texture.

Limit

1: PENDREAM RISING STAR JW (MRS H D BULL-HARRIS), decent dog for type and presents a pleasing picture. He won the class today on the move as he is ultra sound and really uses himself to advantage, covering the ground with ease. Coat of good texture. Best front of the class.

2: NAMKIA THOU ART BELOVED JW ( MRS W V, MRS V J & MISS D H RATCLIFFE & BOOTH), ultra stylish and presents such a pleasing outline on the stack. But oh my, isn’t he a nightmare…. Credit to his handler for getting four feet on the floor, albeit in spasms. But at least he shows that it can be done and it’s sound when he does.

3: KERTELLAS TALKING IN CODES AT MONTRAVIA JW (MISS C GLEAVE)

Open

First 3 could changes places on any other day

1: PARCHEENI PARDON THE PUN (MS C HUTCHINS) totally balanced and unexaggerated. He has a masculine head with a pleasing expression. Long strong neck, firm topline and well set tail which he carries correctly. Good for size and substance and is balanced in leg length. Today it was his precision on the move that tipped the balance in his favour and he was rewarded with the CC. A very worthy champion, presented beautifully.

2: MONTRAVIA JEALOUS GUY (MS M RODGERS), presentation par excellence, preferred his head to winner as it has the most beautiful expression. Stood, he presents the most eye-catching shape, with perfect balance. His condition is to be commended and he is good to go over. Would possibly just prefer a little more return of upper arm for perfection. However, today, on the move he was a tad erratic and did not seem to get into his stride properly and this sadly cost him. Worthy of a title. RCC

3: KOSSAB SANTA CRUZ (MRS G & MRS S BREKKERUD & MCBLAIN)

Veteran

1: CH SOMANIC STYLE BY DESIGN AT CLANESE (MRS C FUREY), 8 year old in superb condition. Masculine in head and expression, super for shape and he has a light free action on the move. Seriously considered him further in the challenge. BV

Special beginners

1: ENTHONY KOBWITLER IMP (MRS K CHU), super colour and very well presented. A little lazy on the move, but when he gets into a stride it is free and easy

2: NASUS PRIZED TOPAS AT TUSSARS (MR R & MRS L CRAWFORD)

Good Citizen

1: STARENE RANTIN ROVIN ROBIN (MR B & MRS A MCLACHLAN)

Bitches

Puppy

1: AFTERGLOW EYE SPY KALIZMAR (MR L, MRS S & MR J STUDHOLME, PENNY & LYNN), stylish and has carriage. Pleasing head and super expression. Up on her legs, with balanced outline. Would prefer a better tail carriage, but that’s picking. BP

2: ALICE DREAMS IN WONDERLAND (MRS L ZAIR), dark apricot of good even colour, pleasing head and expression. Would benefit from a little more weight... moves on the right track and she is well presented

3: TIANOLA MRS TIGGY-WINKLE TAF ( MISS M HESLOP)

Junior

1: AFTERGLOW VIRGINIA WOOLF WITH ANORIEN (MISS K A & MS M YOUNG & NILSSON), not the biggest but she presents a very balanced outline on the stack and she is the more finished article. Beautifully presented and handled so well. She has a super expression and carries herself with importance in profile. A wee bit erratic coming towards me but youth is still a factor. In profile she keeps taking the eye and really uses herself to advantage. She will carry a title, I have no doubt and I will not disagree. RCC

2: VOLGARUS THERE IS A REASON (MRS J WELLS), love this young bitch who is just out of puppy. She scores for leg length and balance and she has a beautiful head. Super to go over, she just was slightly youthful with her legs today, but she has a definite future I have no doubt.

3: KERTELLAS LIVE YOUR DREAM AT TIANOLA (MRS N GARBUTT)

Post Graduate

1: LABAMBA MELISANDE JW (S DENNISON), very mixed class. This bitch has the most beautiful head and expression, superb shape stood and is presented beautifully. Necky and short backed. On the move she can sometimes lose carriage but when her mind is on the job she covers the ground with an easy stride. I liked her very much and considered her further.

2; KAMARRI KISS OGRAM SHCM (MRS G CLARK), Looking very smart in her cut down trim which shows off her shape. Necky and stylish on the move, covering the ground. Super temperament, just not quite the head of the winner.

3: AFTERGLOW GLITTER N'TWISTED (MISS C R & MR R AULD & CRAIG)

Limit

1: KAMARRI JANE RUSSEL (MRS K PATTERSON ROGERSON), beautifully presented and super stylish black bitch. Super head and expression. Long neck, short back and high stationed. Coat of super texture. Looks impressive in profile. Another who is worthy of a title.

2: NAMKIA PERCHANCE TO DREAM (MISS M AIKMAN), another good black bitch, a tad longer than the winner. Super sound and has super reach in front. Would just prefer a better tail carriage

3: TOMEDA STAY WITH ME (C CROSBIE)

Open

What an excellent class of 4 super bitches. Splitting hairs here and I can see them all changing places.

1; VOLGARUS MAXI MILLION (MRS J WELLS), simply breath-taking, what a superb bitch this is. On the stack she is totally balanced and presented in full coat without a hair out of place. Her head and expression are divine, she has a long neck, super front and perfect topline. Her tail set and carriage should also be noted. Completely feminine and very elegant. She poses on a loose lead as if she knows she is special. On the move she has that air of importance that all good Poodles have with just a touch of naughtiness. She impresses in profile where she has good reach and drive, looking down her nose as she moves round the ring. Good coming towards you but perhaps just a tad close going away. Suffice to say I loved her and is a bitch that I would have been proud to have owned and bred. Superb. CC and BOB

2: CH SANKERSTY HERE WE GO AGAIN AT PAMPLONA (MISS S & MR M WHITE & COAD, really good bitch with so much to like. Just not the coverage of ground of the winner today but a very worthy champion and she appeals greatly. Super to go over with everything in the right place.

3: CH KERTELLAS ON FIFTH AVENUE JW (MR R E BAYLISS)

Veteran

1: CHRISTAMAE LOTTIES DREAM SHCM (MRS H D BULL-HARRIS), 7 year old in great condition. Sound on the move and enjoying herself

Special beginners

1: MARCASITE LOVE IS BEGUN (MISS A L LAING), silver of good colour, has reach and drive, could just benefit from a bit of a tailoring in the right parts.

2: TIANOLA MRS TIGGY-WINKLE TAF (MISS M HESLOP), black puppy bitch who has potential just needs time, keep going with her!
