Merseyside Staffordshire Bull Terrier Club

Breed: Staffordshire Bull Terrier

I wish to thank Merseyside SBT club for their kind invitation to Judge their Championship show and the warm welcome I received. Special thanks to my very efficient ring stewards Clare and Spencer who kept the ring running smoothly and to the exhibitors who brought some quality dogs for me to go over which made some of the decisions very difficult and gave me food for thought. I found no breathing difficulties however was very disappointed with the early classes at first glance some super youngsters on show, but my heart sank at the number of misplaced lower canines some so far in they may cause health issues. Thankfully by the time I reached JB I found none only a few higgledy-piggledy teeth which would not hamper the job the breed was originally bred for so there will be no mention of teeth in the later classes. Narrow fronts, long backs and no rib are a bit of a worry but on the up side most had good powerful backends which propelled them down the mat with discernible drive.
