Sincere thanks to the Committee & very sporting exhibitors for the opportunity to judge their dogs. I came across an excellent selection of our breed, I was very pleased with my winners & thrilled to discover a very good crop of youngsters coming through.

MINOR PUPPY DOG (5)

1. Morris & Randall’s KALIMOR PARKER – Promising 6 month old, flows from nose to tail, sound all through, well-proportioned head, curled ear, good length of neck into sound front assembly, showing good forechest, right amount of width, depth to elbow, correct angles, reflected in rear, moved well, held his topline. BPD & BPIS.

2. Rayner & Maskell’s KALIMOR ACCOLADE TO RAYSTANS – Slightly heavier boned & paler in colour, shown & schooled to perfection. Like his brother above, displays correct length to height ratio, stands on deep padded, tidy feet. Excellent length of second thigh, moved well for one so young, both very good prospects that will change places & trouble the best.

2. Rowbury’s STORMDANCER AVINCI – Silver grey, fit, hard youngster, good length of stride. Masculine head in the making, clean neck, pleasing angles, reflected in the rear, just slightly up on his leg but the rest of him will catch up, well boned, goes on tight, deep padded feet.

All three dogs quite rightly immature & at different “teenage” growth stages.

1. Danneau’s ORBIT THE MOON AT AARRANZ VON SILBERWEISS JAGER (IMP FRA) – Athletic, happy dog with a good sheen to his coat, firm muscle & fit. Masculine head, deep flew, kind eye, elegant neck into sound front assembly, angles reflected behind, straight when viewed from front, good bone, pasterns, deep padded feet, ribbing to elbow, correct ground, elbow/elbow, wither proportions, powerful hind end, drove on the move.

2. Thorne’s MABANIKA STETSON – Lovely type, a lot to like, slightly up on his leg at the moment, needs to fill & mature in body, will come with time, sound, well made all through, correct eye & ear, clean neck, moderate angles all round, a little unsettled but displayed a sound, ground covering gait when he relaxed into his job.

1. Kerslake’s KUANTAN COSWORTH – Well boned, stands over a lot of ground, masculine head, well-proportioned in height, depth & body, displaying classic 12:10 ratio, good width, tight elbow, well ribbed back, Still young, a little more confidence could see him move more positively.

2. Webster’s SCHONHUND SHOW GRAYSON – Different type, smaller, more compact, presented in good, hard condition, tight, silver grey coat, good head & eye, correct ear, clean neck, good body proportions, honest front, balanced fore & aft, high tail-set which cannot be ignored on the move.

POST GRADUATE DOG (2: 1 Absent)

1. Mutlow’s BRAEFELL GOSHAWK JW – Nice dog in the making, doesn’t always sell himself but when set correct he presents a very satisfying picture, good head & eye, well set ear, clean, slightly arched neck, sound & balanced front & rear assembly, straight with good width when viewed from the front, well set hocks, moved as expected keeping his level topline.

1. Hartley & Myers’ ASTRAZONE KINGFISHER – Shown in good, fit condition, pleasing silver grey, correct ground, elbow/elbow, wither proportions & 12:10 ratio asked for in the standard, correct head proportions & planes, particularly pleasing viewed in profile, well set ear, clean neck, balanced angles fore & aft, well ribbed back, firm, level topline, did not disappoint on the move. His classic outline kept drawing my eye in the challenge, CC & BIS.

2. Henderson’s SILVERKELVIN METEORITE AT NIKOSTRATUS – Fit, athletic dog, presenting a tidy outline, well-proportioned head, clean neck into a sound front assembly, good lay & angles, corresponding in the rear, nothing overdone, well ribbed back, firm loin, moved around the ring on a good stride.

3. Davies’ ENRYB GROUSE PARTY AT SHELSEIVAD JW.

My whole line up was capable of carrying off the class, it comes down to splitting hairs.

1. Ruddy’s SH CH NETHERHILL’S GOT TALENT JW – Silver grey, mature dog presented in full bloom, very fit, hard musculature, presents a classic outline, masculine head, clean neck into a faultless front assembly, well laid & angled with good forechest, tight, deep feet, well ribbed, good spring, short, strong loin, good width of pelvis, very well proportioned 1st & 2nd thigh. Movement was balanced & ground covering, at one with his handler, his faultless performance won today. Res. CC.

2. Rayner & Maskill’s SH CH GUNALT ACADEMY OF RAYSTANS JW ShCM – a dog of great quality, a picture of soundness viewed from any angle, many of 1’s attributes apply, these two dogs are very close & difficult to separate, he moved well & powerfully.

3. Evans & Pavey’s SH CH GUNALT UNDENIABLE AT JONEVA JW.

1. O’Donohue’s SH CH SIREVA LINESMAN AT WEIMSMYRE – Relaxed, mid-sized, silver grey dog, athletic & not overdone in any way, well-proportioned head & eye, clean neck into a well laid shoulder, good width & forechest, correct amount of bone, well-padded feet. level topline, well ribbed, moderate tuck, short loin, good width across the pelvis, strong, true hock. Balanced movement.

2. Clarke’s SH CH SIREVA CRACKERJACK AT COASTEDGE JW ShCM –Medium sized, mature male with an aristocratic expression, kind, amber eye, set down in extremely fit, hard condition, well placed shoulder, well ribbed, moderate tuck, level topline held on the move, complimentary & extremely well-muscled hindquarter, straight hock, all used to produce a ground covering, effortless stride, could easily change places with 1 but was a little unsettled & not giving his best today.

3. Van Eck’s NL CH SIREVA’S GREY NOBLE SKY LINE NJK’17 BJW’17.

1. Mutlow’s RISINGLARK HAWK WING JW ShCM – Classic head & expression, good curl of ear, balanced angulation fore & aft, silver-grey coat, fit & well-muscled for age, tight, tidy feet, well-proportioned body, with moderate tuck, well-muscled 1st & 2nd thigh, moved out well.

2. Ruddy’s NETHERHILL MILLIONAIRE JW – Medium sized, darker male, looks well viewed from any angle, extremely hard & fit, well ribbed, moderate tuck, nicely boned, tight, tidy feet, well angulated fore & aft, good length of 2nd thigh, drove well around the ring.

3. Carson & Dunne’s SH CH KHAMSYNN CARRY ON CRUISING TO MOORPOINT JW ShCM.

Perez-Powell’s SH CH GUNALT BY EK AT SONCARO (AI) – Sound, moderate dog, good quality of bone, well within standard for size, presented in fit condition, coat of required length, kind expression & eye, grey nose, straight, true front, tidy feet, correct depth, well ribbed back, moderate tuck, sloping croup, nothing overdone, moved confidently & true.

2. Brierley & Needham’s GRAUSTURM HAIRY POTTER JWW’18 (IMP AUS) – 20 month old, rangier all round, needs time to muscle up & strengthen, not as profuse in coat yet, masculine head, good length of neck, well laid shoulder good ribbing, level topline, lovely length of 2nd thigh, still needs to settle himself into his reachy stride.

1. Hays’ SH CH SHARNPHILLY AVOLON JW ShCM AW(S) – Medium sized, fit, well-muscled, kind, honest expression, good length of ear, displaying fold & curl, long, elegant neck, balanced angles all round, chest to elbow, well ribbed back, good turn of stifle, covered a lot of ground on the move.

2. Hill’s SH CH WEIPOWA HOT TO HUNT JW – All male but not coarse in any way, good head planes, open nostril, correct ear, slight arch to his neck, balanced angles fore & aft, well ribbed, short, strong loin, level topline, well set on tail, covered his ground.

3. Burgess’s GUNALT ROCK OUT WITH HANTZBURG ShCM RL1 P-BEG EX.

1. Murray’s RACHMOOR SILVER TASSIE – Stylish 8 month puppy, a real quality about her, everything in the right place, sound & true throughout, feminine head, clean well set neck, brisket to elbow, adequate ribbing, level topline, slightly sloping croup, confident mover, hopefully she’s done all her growing, BPB.

2. Hostler’s KALIMOR DAISY – 6 month old, just at the right place in development, good head breaking, correct ear & set, put together very soundly, from nose to tail, good height/length ratio, quality of bone, deep padded, tidy feet, moved well.

1. Copeland’s GUNALT WONDROUS AT STRIDEVIEW (AI) TAF – Very appealing 10 month old, workmanlike puppy, nothing overdone, not a big sort, within standard, well put together tidy package & so very sound standing & moving, correct expression, good length of neck, really neat, well laid shoulder, level topline, well-constructed hindquarter, I wouldn’t change anything on her, just wait for her to mature into an incredibly sound adult.

1. Batty’s ALMOOR MACEY GRAY – Eye-catching, nice quality about her, stands over a lot of ground, head breaking nicely, clean neck, well angled forequarter, good width when viewed from the front, good bone, pasterns & feet, ribbing coming along, powerful hindquarter, good turn of stifle, well let down hock, smooth coordinated movement, carrying her into 1st place.

2. Hunt & Roberts’ JONEVA HOLLYWOOD GLAMOUR – 1 & 2 differing type, splitting hairs to separate. Not as flashy as 1 but so soundly made, maturing well, head still breaking, well set, curled ear, long, clean neck, fitting snuggly into her well laid shoulder, very balanced angles enabling a smooth gait, good quality of bone, pasterns & feet. Well sprung rib, really well made rear, excellent 2nd thigh & well let down hock.

Enjoyed this class, quality right down the line, they could all change places.

1. Hesford & Campbell’s GUNALT MOVE IT TO PIPWELL – Smart & tidy all through, her handler really got the best out of her, she looked good at any time from any angle, feminine head, well set eye & ear, long, slightly arched neck flowing into well angulated shoulder, good bone, firm feet, well sprung ribbing, short, firm loin, level topline, strong hindquarter, she pushed hard but just carrying a little too much weight to take the top slot, Res. CC.

1. Cooper’s DEIFSTOCK DAZZLING STAR – Sound, workmanlike bitch, spot on for fitness & muscle, which won her the class, good size, kind expression, neck flows into tidy shoulder, angles reflected in rear, well ribbed back, powerful rear end, low set hocks, balanced movement.

2. McDowell & Rutland’s SIREVA HOT LINE TO KHAMSYNN JW – Good quality, striking silver grey, nearing her best, correct size & typical in outline, longer cast than 1, feminine in head & outlook, elegant neck into correct shoulder, angles of which matched in the rear, tight elbow, sweeping rib, good width over pelvis, capable of a good stride.

3. Anderton’s TATZE BEWITCHED BY THRIHYRNE.

1. Robson’s KALIMOR ARMARNI AT ROBRICCI JW – Moderate, medium sized bitch in excellent condition, handler gets the very best out of her, tidy & typical in outline, feminine headed, clean neck into well angled shoulder, corresponding angles behind, tidy when viewed from the front, tight fitting elbows, correct bone, deep padded feet, Well sprung ribbing, firm loin, she used her sound rear end to advantage on the move, CC, BOS & Res. BIS

2. Morris’s KALIMOR LILY – Litter sister, much the same applies in size, type & movement, preferred the firmer, level topline & turn of stifle of 1.

Rutland & Jones’ SH CH KHAMSYNN COAST LIAISON JW ShCM – Quality, mid-sized, silver grey bitch built on smooth lines, displaying correct, required proportions both in height & length, feminine head, slightly arched neck into a well laid shoulder, sweeping, well sprung ribs, strong loin, powerful hindquarters, her smooth movement & stride won her the class.

2. Wardle’s RANARAN HALLEBERRY – Really appealing bitch, mid-sized, handled to great advantage, matured & strengthened since I last judged her, feminine head, elegant, slightly arched neck flowing into a well placed shoulder, honest front, well sprung ribbing, level topline, well set tail, smooth, ground covering movement.

1. Batty’s SH CH EDINGORSE ETHEREAL AT ALMOOR JW ShCM – Eye-catching silver grey bitch in tip, top order, feminine head, clean neck, very sound, well angled shoulder, tight elbow, correct amount of bone, well-padded feet, sets up so true in front, correct proportions all through, well ribbed back, balanced angulation in the rear, low set hocks, assisting a smooth, coordinated stride, to take first place

2. Rutland & Jones’ SH CH SIREVA ONLY CONNECT WITH KHAMSYNN ShCM – Mature & in excellent condition, good quality head & ear, clean neck into good shoulder with well laid blade, correct upper arm, tight elbow, good width, bone, pastern & feet, well ribbed back to short loin & well-muscled 1st & 2nd thigh, which she used to advantage.

3. Sayer & Wallwork’s SH CH ASTRAZONE AVOCET TO BRAEFELL JW ShCM.

VETERAN BITCH (6)

1. Rayner’s SH CH GUNALT THE LOOK AT RAYSTANS JW ShCM – 8 ½ years old, so incredibly fit & agile, well sculpted head, long, elegant neck into tidy front assembly, tight elbow, ribbed well back, firm loin & well-made rear with strong, low set hock, showing no inclination, she powered round to victory & BVIS.

2. Webster’s SCHONHUND SHOW ATTITUDE WITH ERRYTAR – a full year younger but built on similar lines, much the same applies, incredibly fit & really moved with drive & power, I see her litter sister stood third, aging well is obviously in the genes.

3. Dunn’s SCHONHUND SHOW MYSTIQUE UNDER BRYANNTAR.

1. Perez-Powell’s SH CH GUNALT QUIRKY – A real favourite, 10 today but still displaying the soundness & quality that earned her top honours, correct head, ear, balanced forehand, good width & bone, well sprung ribbing & well-muscled rear, moved smooth & coordinated, BLH.

2. Anderton’s TATZE BEWITCHED BY THRIHYRNE – Young bitch maturing into a good quality specimen, feminine head, amber eye, good ear, long neck into tidy shoulders, who’s angles are reflected in the rear, she didn’t disappoint on the move. Lovely quality of bone, tidy feet, well-ribbed back, excellent amount & quality of coat.

2. Cooper’s DEIFSTOCK DUCATI DEMON JW – Fit & hard bitch, correct head planes, amber eye, balanced angulation providing an economic gait, well sprung ribbing, strong loin & level topline, sound, low set hocks.
