Bath Canine Society

Breed: Dachshund (Miniature Wire Haired)

Bath Canine Society 26th May 2019

Dachshund (Miniature Wire-haired)

I thoroughly enjoyed judging this lovely breed and thank Bath for their kind invitation, and the exhibitors for providing such a lovely entry to assess and all of them were completely new to me. It was a bit chilly and breezy during the morning and the clangs and noises of the open tent did have an effect and made some of the dogs unsettled here today. There were some really lovely exhibits but I was quite surprised to find a few with a very soft coat, and a few with a shorter than desired keel, two had misplaced teeth & a couple over the desired weight. Having said that, my main winners were all top quality and it was very much down to that final move off which tipped the scales one way or the other.
