Temperaments were as good as expected, just a few looked rather bored. The main problem was shoulders, a well laid shoulder was rare, and when I did find one often they had a short and or steep upper arm. Bitches were much stronger than males for quality. Minor Puppy D (2) Both very promising and very raw. 1st: 478 LEWIN Mr M G Rodsdream First Choice For Vynesbrook Super temperament. He is v well balanced and moderate, giving him an easy stride. V good head, lengthy and one piece with flat skull. Medium neck. Well laid shoulder, good length and return of upper arm. Elbows can firm and needs to spring in rib. Short loin. Level topline. Low hocks. Tends to pace but ok when gets going. His sister just pipped him for BP, but a v good prospect. 2nd: 489 RAVENHILL, Mr B & RAVENHILL-WHITE Mrs J Hunterssheim Henrik He is really raw and quite floppy in pastern. Liked his masc head v much. Good neck. Well made front and rear. Needs to spring in ribs and firm in topline. Good out and back mover. Really well muscled. Puppy d (2) 1st: 481 TROTTER Mr & Mrs I Lussac Winter Wizard Liked his outline and proportions. Lengthy, masc head. Good eye and expression. Flat skull. Moderate neck. Shoulder could be slightly better laid, which is where the MP had the edge. Good upper arm. Nice feet. Chest to elbow. Short loin. Fairly well ribbed. Moderate rear. Decent length of stride. 2nd: 507 WEAR Mrs C Silkmann's Teazle Of Keveral Slightly heavier d, really enjoying himself. Flat skull. Dark eyes. Could have more neck and a better shoulder. Deep chest. Well ribbed to a short loin. Moderate rear with low hocks. Can firm in topline. Junior d (4,1) 1st: 504 WALKER Mrs L Lizzlog Shotgun Harry Quite a mature looking d who is well balanced with a pleasing outline. Could be just a bit stronger in muzzle. Moderate neck. Fairly good front, but upright in pastern. Deep chest. Well ribbed to a short loin. Firm topline. Well bent stifle with low hocks. Can fill in chest and be slightly freer in front action, but a v good dog whose outline, balance and type I liked. Long head, flat skull. Well shaped eyes. Long neck with well laid shoulders, quite rare amongst the males. Slightly forward in upper arm. Well filled, deep chest. Well ribbbed to a short loin, holding a fIrm topline. Excellent rear with correct turn of stifle, low hocks. Slight slope to croup, tail carriage just a fraction higher than I would like. Needs more width between his front legs. Feet can tighten. Well ribbed. Well bent stifle. Low hocks. Ok mover can firm in topline. 2nd: 498 TAMBLYN Mr & Mrs C Atherbram Jacob Nice proportions, he could have more width of chest and more spring of rib. Lengthy, clean head. Flat skull. Lengthy neck. Angulation is well balanced, can firm in front. Limit d (3) 1st: 462 COOVES Mr F W J & Mrs L D Draketor Sea Shanty Sh.CM Liked his head, clean throat. Good eye and expression. Moderate neck. Could have a better shoulder. Chest to elbow. Well ribbed. He is slightly long in back. V well bent stifle and low hocks. Ok out and back, could just have a bit more drive in his rear. 2nd: 468 GOLDBERG, Mrs V & KEIGHT Ms L Laurvic Talking Italian I liked his proportions. Masc head, eyes a bit lose and slightly throaty. Moderate neck. Could be better in shoulder. Deep chest. Level topline. Ok loin. Moderate rear. Could be tidier in front action, ok going away. 3rd: 464 DAVIS Mrs V Pajanbeck Rumour Has It Open d (5) 1st: 502 WALKER Miss H S Lizzlog Granny Won't Like It JW Liked his shape and proportions. V good head which is lengthy. Flat skull, good eye and expression. Lengthy neck. He has a fair shoulder. Just a bit wide in front and upright in pastern. Deep chest. Well ribbed. Short loin. Has a level topline. Good bend of stifle. Could be firmer in front, but uses himself well. This kennel has some v good, typy Flatcoats. 2nd: 456 BOWEN Mrs V Ch Candiliz Black Admiral For Clandrift JW Sh.CM Close up. Mature d. He has a masc head. Slight stop. Flat skull. Lengthy neck. He too has a good shoulder. Can be v careless how he stands in front. Deep chest. Maybe needs a fraction more leg. Well ribbed. Plenty of hind angulation. Low hocks. Another who can firm in front but used rear well. 3rd: 471 JONES Miss L S Sh Ch Blacktoft American Smooth At Braemist JW Veteran d ne Sp beginners d (1) 1st: 469 HAYMAN Miss J Tikkidui Showmans Dream Ultra moderate d, slightly square in outline. Would like more fill under eyes and a stronger muzzle. Moderate neck. Deep chest. Level topline. Could use his rear better. V happy d in lovely bloom. Sp beginners b (1) 1st: 488 POWELL Mrs J Bonnyhilbrae Love of Joy JW Liked her outline and in super muscle. Fem head. Moderate neck. Quite a good front. Just needs to mature in body. Level topline. She has a fem head, well balanced. Flat skull. Long neck. Well laid shoulder. Can still firm in front action. Deep chest. Well ribbed to a short loin. Firm topline. Correct hind angulation. Uses her rear so v well and ideal foot fall in profile, one of the few where the hind foot meets the front. V good head, slight stop, flat skull, well filled under eyes to give a one piece look. Fairly good neck. Well laid shoulder. Well filled chest. Good spring of rib to a short loin. Level in topline. Moderate hind angulation. Could just be more positive going away but v good in profile. 2nd: 458 WELLS Miss C Candiliz Pina Colada She looks v good in profile action. Slightly short in leg for her length back and so rolls slightly moving. Better head than 3. She has a long neck. Balanced, well angulated. Quite accurate out and back. 3rd: 480 MAY Mrs S Lussac Tassle Veteran b (2) 1st: 470 HOLMES Ms C Sh Ch Ballyriver Flashdance 7 years so just right for maturity. She really is the most lovely b. Good head. Long neck. Super front. Well bodied. Firm topline. Well made rear. Accurate on move and super in profile.
