Rather a lot of absentees the day, which was a pity. This is the 10th time I have judged this wonderful breed, so I guess most exhibitors know I like long legs and curves, and I was pleased to see few long flat backs. A few soft coats. Very happy with my top winners and a couple of really promising juniors. Puppy D. ne Junior D (2) 1ST CAREDIG DONOVAN (MRS D E TEBBUTT) Really promising young hound of a super type. Masc head of length with a strong jaw. Well set ears. Correct neck. Shoulders set slightly far apart. Good depth and width of chest. Well ribbed. Short loin, curves to topline. Well made rear with low hocks. Just needs to come together on move. With a bit more maturity would expect him to gain his title. 2 withheld, he was not sound in the rear on the day. Yearling d (1 abs) Post grad d (1 abs) Limit d (2) 1ST SADE PARIS (MR C & MRS J AMOO) Super for type and proportions. He has a lovely head, long and masculine. Ears could be better. Correct neck. Well laid shoulder with long, sloping upper arm. Deep chest of correct width. Well ribbed back. Short loin, better topline than 2. Well bent stifle. He uses his rear so v well, could have a fraction more stride in front. I really liked his, reminded me of some of the lovely hounds of the past I knew. CC, was all over the place when competing with his kennel mate for BOB. 2ND BALLYPHELAN ASANSOL AMONG NECKREBAGH (DR P P & MISS S DAS PURKAYASTHA) Really free moving d who is light on his feet. Would prefer a stronger muzzle, but bite is correct, and a better eye. V good neck. Not quite shoulder of 1. He has a deep chest with enough fill. Well sprung ribs that go well back. Could be firmer in hocks. Lot of like about him. Open d (5) Interesting class with a few compromises but some v typy hounds. 1ST BALLYPHELAN AMADEUS (MR J E & MRS P M SUMNER) Liked his outline and proportions the best here. Lengthy head. Could have a better expression. Correct neck. Shoulders are ok, a little forward in upper arm and could stand tighter in elbow - but moved well coming towards. Liked his depth of chest. Well ribbed back. Better croup than 2. Well bent stifle and low hocks. Correct coat, moved well. RCC 2ND EUR CH NESQUIK DU GRAND CHIEN DE CULANN [ATC AV01492FRA] (MR MONFORT) Liked a lot about this young d, who still needs to fill in the middle. Lengthy head. Dark eyes. Well set ears. Liked his neck and flow through the shoulder. Lots of air under him and v good feet. Well ribbed back. Could be firmer in the rear. 3RD CH AMARACH AARON OF BARONGLEN (MR P & MRS P PASK) Veteran d ne G citizen d ne Puppy b (1 abs) Junior b (3;1) 1ST CAREDIG DESTINY (MRS D E TEBBUTT) Strong b, full of muscle. She is a little long, but shortens up slightly on the move and of course will body up as she matures. Super head. Long enough neck. Well laid shoulder. Topline is ok. Well made rear with low hocks. Liked her on the move v much. Thought her a very typy strong bitch who could easily do the job intended. RCC 2ND BRAEWISAN LADY OF THE MOON (MRS J & MR I KEARY & CASELY) Standing she is a v good shape, just needs to come together moving. Long and fem head. Would prefer more bone, but has nice deep feet. Lengthy neck. Well laid shoulders. Liked her top and underlines. V moderate rear. Coat can harshen, Yearling b. Ne Post grad b (5,2) 1ST EILEANIRGH LADY OF THE FIRE (MRS J & MR I KEARY & CASELY) Very free and easy moving fem b of a decent type. She has a lengthy head, eyes are round. Correct neck. She has a well laid shoulder. Could have more bone and a better feet. Well sprung ribs. Topline is ok. Needs more hind angulation. 2ND COMEDIAS ALL ABOUT HOPE FOR BALLANROO (IMP SWE) (MR K F & MRS Y T HARMER) Has fairly good proportions. Could have more strength of muzzle, rather a fine head. Good length of neck. Moderate front angulation. Can firm in topline. Quite a good rear. Coat is rather soft. Limit b (2,1) 1ST COMEDIAS ALL ABOUT HOPE FOR BALLANROO (IMP SWE) (MR K F & MRS Y T HARMER) Open b (4,2) 1ST CH SADE PRUDENCE (MR C & MRS J AMOO) Strong and fem b. Of correct proportions and excellent coat. She has a super head. Lovely eye and expression. Long neck into well laid shoulders. Deep and wide chest. Well ribbed back to a short loin. Topline is ok. Correct hind angulation with low hocks, could just be better muscled and firmer in hind action. Really liked her shape, held on the move. CC & BOB later G4. 2ND CH BALLYPHELAN ANNA LISA (MR J E & MRS P M SUMNER) Like her proportions. She has a good head. Long neck. Would like more front angulation and less in her rear, and rather close going away. V good front action. Correct coat. Veteran B. ne G Citizen B. ne
