DARLINGTON CHAMP SHOW 15TH SEPTEMBER 2019

HUNGARIAN VIZSLA

MINOR PUPPY DOG (1)

1st Parker & Murray’s VADASZFAI CSAPODAR AT SZELKIRALY (IMP)

Just at that raw stage but of overall good shape and type. Lean in head with pleasing expression. Clean over neck with good straight front and ample rear angulation. Moved well for a youngster.

PUPPY DOG (1)

1st Challis’s VIZSLANYA ARAGONIA

Stood alone today but would certainly do well in company. He has a masculine head of correct proportions and dark eye. When stacked he is very balanced fore and aft, with a firm level back, well developed hindquarter and strong hocks. Awarded him BPD and also BP over the bitch on his sound and ground covering movement.

JUNIOR DOG (5)

1st VIZSLANYA ARAGONIA  (repeat)

2nd Watson’s  OAKSWARREN LOKI

I was impressed with this quality youngster. Medium sized, correct head proportions with noble expression. Best of shoulders and front with adequate depth and well sprung ribs. Stands on strong legs and tight feet, a precise mover, unfortunately just not co-operating or showing himself to advantage today.

3rd Porter-Manning & Porter’s WALLAROO HAWK EYE JW

YEARLING DOG (2)

1st Layton’s LAYWAYS NOAH'S MILL

A very smart youngster of medium size. His head has correct proportions, kind expression and good eye colour. Neck of good length and straight front with well laid shoulders and correct front and rear angles. He is moderate throughout, and very well made. He moved out and back with style and has good rear drive. Has lots of maturing still to do, yet a very worthy Res CC winner today.

2nd Mills’ KARROUKI WILDFIRE

Placed fourth in the strong Junior class today. Well developed forechest and firmly built body. Well off for bone and of good colour. Moved soundly, but had raised tail carriage today.

POST-GRAD DOG (3)

1st Milicevic,Gartland & Cameron ANDRONJA'S NINE CARAT FOR KASPROWY JW

Pleasing in head, all male with dark eye and correct earset. Of good depth with well developed forechest, strongly made throughout, with plenty of substance. Needs to settle down on the move to give his best.

2nd Tate’s OLDGILLHEAD LASKI

A longer cast dog than my first place. Nicely placed shoulders and ample rear angulation. Of good colour, shown in good muscular condition.

3rd Rollings & Verity’s VIZSLANYA SZELLEM ES SORS

LIMIT DOG (5)

1st Porter-Manning & Porter’s WALLAROO ALL THAT JAZZ Sh CM

Presented a very smart and balanced outline when stacked. Good skull shape with correct eye colour. Good depth to body and moderate rear angulation. Correct coat and of good rich colour. Had sound flowing movement.

2nd Challis’s  HIGHFORCE FUTURE LEGEND FOR VIZSLANYA JW

Pleasing masculine head but without coarseness. Ample bone and substance, clean over neck, firm body and level topline. Good width to thigh and well muscled throughout. Darker in colour, moved with drive holding his topline well.

3rd Armstrong’s SHELSEIVAD BE MY VALENTINE (AI)

OPEN DOG (5)

1st Harper’s SH CH MAGNUS FORTUNA PITSWARREN JW

He looked the part on his first move round the ring, a top quality strongly built male with a beautiful headpiece and dark eye. He has good bone and substance, with ample forechest, strong topline, well muscled hindquarters and good width to thigh. Shown in tip top coat and fit hard condition. My CC winner.

2nd Hardy & Hallam’s SH CH BITCON SIROCCO AT TOKAJI JW (AI)

A well made dog with lots of substance. Very masculine in head with noble expression, strong neck and good depth to chest with prominent breast bone, short and firm back. Moderately angled stifles and moved on a good stride.

3rd Clubb & Mason’s SH CH OROSHAZA CHUKAR

VETERAN BITCH (1)

1st Davies & Davies’s  SILVESTRE OH BEHAVE FOR SHELSEIVAD

This bitch has the most beautiful head and expression. Good front assembly, short in back and nicely angulated. Of lovely colour and very well made throughout and moves so soundly. Although she stood alone today, a very worthy Best Veteran.

MINOR PUPPY BITCH (1)

Layton’s LAYWAYS CONTRADICTION

A six month old baby full of confidence. Very pleasing head and expression. Good straight front, neat feet. I found her long cast at the moment. Adequate bend of stifle and once settled moved really soundly for a youngster.

PUPPY BITCH (2)

1st Rigby & MacDonald’s VIZSLANYA ANUSKA

Very appealing in head, with correct earset. This young bitch has good body proportions and is well balanced throughout with arched tight feet and strong hocks.  Litter sister to my Best Puppy but not as together on the move in the puppy challenge. BPB

2nd Govier’s  GOVIZ AUTUMNAL GLOW

Not as well on for her age as my winner. Quite strong in head but has good eye colour Her forechest needs to develop, well balanced fore and aft and moved out well on a steady stride. Has adequate bone and of good rich colour.

 JUNIOR BITCH (5)

1st Harrison’s BITCON CAMDEN

A very pleasing youngster from every angle and has lots of quality about her. Loved her head and expression, excellent front, short backed and correct rear angulation. She is of a lovely colour and moved soundly and gracefully. She just needs to continue to mature in the same vein and will no doubt reach top honours.

2nd Harper’s PITSWARREN SORBONNE

An attractive young bitch, built on taller lines than my winner but has a lovely elegance about her. Pleasing head proportions, has good neck length, well developed forechest, shoulders well laid and elbows tight in. Correct rear angulation and good tailset, a nice tidy mover.

3rd Munro’s BITCON FLAME DANCER

YEARLING BITCH (3)

1st  BITCON CAMDEN (repeat)

2nd Hardcastle & Bradley’s VIZSLANYA SZIENA J W

An elegant bitch, very pleasing in head with good eye colour. Good length of neck correct shoulder lay with elbows tight in. Good sweep to stifle and strong hocks. She appeared unsettled today, and tended to roach her topline. Of good rich colour and excels on the move with good rear drive.

3rd Butler’s SILVESTRE THE RED WOMAN

POST-GRAD BITCH (2)

1st Butler’s SILVESTRE THE RED WOMAN

Unlucky to meet the winners in the previous class as she has a lovely feminine head with kind expression. Good front assembly with well laid shoulders, balance angles both fore and aft and a sound mover.

2nd Parker & Murray’s BONBRANDEE LUCKY PENNY AT SZELKIRALY

Pleasing in head with good proportions. Lacks forechest, short backed and nicely angulated behind. Needs to tighten in front movement.

 LIMIT BITCH (5)

1st Watson’s OAKSWARREN EVERGLOW (AI)

This bitch had a lovely head, moderate stop and kind eye. Neck well arched, good straight front, correct short back and well angulated hindquarters. She is of medium size, full of breed type and very well balanced throughout. One I really liked, just a little apprehensive today which let her down in the challenge.

2nd Bradley’s HIGHFORCE ONE VISION

A bitch with a lovely head and good eye colour. Decent forechest, firm short back and correct rear angulation. She has sound and stylish movement and is of lovely rich colour and shown in good muscular condition. Not co-operating today which affected her overall shape and balance.

3rd Dale’s ARANY'S BALATINO WITH LAURELSET

OPEN BITCH (6)

1st Bradley’s SH CH VIZSLANYA VIVMANY BY HIGHFORCE JW SH.CM SHCE

Super medium sized bitch that presents a clean and balanced outline. Built on elegant lines with a lovely head and expression and kind eye. She has a firm topline and correct angles and is of good depth. Super rich colour and moved around the ring with drive and purpose at one with her handler to take the CC and BOB. A very worthy Show Champion of the breed.

2nd Layton’s SH CH LAYWAYS LANA DEL RAY JW

Another top quality bitch with the loveliest of heads and dark eye. She has good bone and substance yet retains her elegance. Good depth, correctly angulated, strong topline and firm over loin. She moves so soundly and pushed hard for the top spot, just preferred the enthusiasm of my winner on the move. Res CC
