I would like to thank Jackie Lane and her hard working team for the invitation to judge this fabulous breed. It was a real honour to have the privilege to judge such a super entry both numerically and in quality. A huge Thank you to the exhibitors for making it a special day, with your lovely dogs. The weather was mostly kind to us, managing to get to Limit bitch outside in the pleasant sunshine before the heavens opened. In a matter of seconds, we were all rather soaking wet and had to move into the cattle shed to finish judging.

Class 1875 PD (6 Entries) Abs: 3

1st: 7108 HAWKINS Mr & Mrs A & T Smilek Fernando

Impressive 7 month old dog, thought him to be a quality puppy showing lots of promise. Liked his outline when stood, for one so young he was showing good overall body proportions and balance. He has a well proportioned head, strong clean neck which flows well into a firm and level topline. Nicely angulated fore and aft. Moving out with precision and drive. Pleased to award him BPD & BPIB

2nd: 7099 FAULTLESS Ms D Stormdancer Rudimental

Another 7 month old dog with much to like, everything is in the right place and time will be his friend. He has a pleasing head, showing to be balanced and masculine. Good length of neck and holding a firm topline. Having good depth to the brisket and well developed forechest. Stifles well bent and short hock to heel. He has lovely drive in profile, but today not as precise in hind action as winner

Loved this happy go lucky lad, so full of character. At 17 months old this dog cuts an impressive outline, shapely with good body proportions. He has a lovely flow from nose to tail. Masculine head, muscular neck, liked his depth of chest and well developed forechest. Firm level topline with well angulated hindquarters. Precise and powerful movement, tail carried a fraction higher. Shown in good coat and condition

20 month old dog who has a pleasing and balanced outline on the stack. He has a most appealing head, aristocratic and nicely chiselled with a kind expression. His chest is well let down with a nice spring to the ribs. Straight front onto compact feet. Firm and level topline with a good length of back. Moderate hindquarters. Having a free and positive action on the move

2nd: 7121 MCMAHON Mr & Mrs A & P Silverkelvin Jupiter

This 20 month old dog, was certainly providing his handler with a challenge today, wanting to play the fool. Once settled he has a lovely shapely outline with good body proportions. He has strength all through without being overdone. Masculine head, with well placed round eye with a mischievous glint. He is well developed in the forequarters with strength and depth. Firm topline and well angulated hindquarters. Moving with good drive

Very honest and nothing flashy about this 2 year old dog. He is masculine, shapely and well balanced with good proportions. Quality head, noble and well chiselled, he has such a kind and gentle expression. Well developed though the body, holds a firm topline both stood and on the move, super depth to the brisket with harmonious angulation fore and aft. Moving out well with correct footfalls

2nd: 7109 HAWKINS Mr & Mrs A & T Smilek Massachusettes

A slightly stronger made 21 month old dog. He is a solid and muscular dog with a pleasing outline when stood. He is all in proportion with a nice flow. Deep through the body, with the brisket well let down, well boned limbs onto compact feet. Holding a level topline, the hindquarters show a good width of thigh and in good muscle tone. Today moving a tad close behind, but showing lovely drive in profile

Smart 2 year old dog, he is masculine yet elegant giving the aristocratic look to him. Liked his overall balance and construction. Showing good body proportions and has a lovely flow to his outline. Masculine head with good length to the foreface. Strong clean neck flowing into a firmly held topline. Brisket down to the elbow. Hindquarters have a good bend of stifle, which he put to good use on the move, holding his outline, and showing free flowing movement

close up to winner, splitting hairs between them. He is a sound and solidly made dog with much to like. Very balanced all through and shapely in outline. Masculine head, with a kind eye. Strong neck and well developed forechest, good depth, when stood a level topline, with pleasing hindquarters. On the move showed lovely drive, but today not as firm in topline as winner on the move. Shown in super muscular condition

Top quality 4 year old dog who just oozes masculinity, breed type and presence. He is a lovely dog from any angle. He is eye catching and makes his presence felt but he is not exaggerated in anyway, just an honest solid dog. When stood he is of a nice size, masculine with good substance. Handsome head, long clean neck flowing seamlessly into a firm level topline. Brisket down to the elbow and well developed forechest. Well boned limbs and compact feet. Lovely hindquarters, having width to the thigh and a nice sweep of stifle. Moved with enthusiasm and pizzazz, showing to be true and driving in his action. Presented and shown to advantage. Delighted to award him DCC & BOB

Another cracking dog, and at only 2 years old, the best is yet to come. He is so very smart and showing all the virtues of a top quality dog, being athletic with strength. Masculine head, long muscular neck, well developed forequarters with a good spring to the ribs, well boned limbs. Strong level topline, muscular hindquarters. He showed his socks off and at one with his handler. Moving with a super ground covering action, being precise and powerful - RDCC

He has a handsome head, with a good length of foreface, clean and well chiselled. He is well developed in the forequarters with well boned limbs. Strong well held topline, with depth to the ribcage. Having a good width of thigh, wouldn’t want anymore rear angulation. Stormed around the ring with reach and drive

Another super 8 year old dog, of a different stamp to winner, he has a lovely outline, shapely and elegant, but not quite the substance of winner. Masculine head, lean and of good length with a kind eye. Good length of neck, chest down to elbow, with well sprung ribs. Nice sweep of stifle. Moving out well

Very feminine 10 month old, you can see she has it all there, the shape and balance, just needing to finish filling her frame. She has strength yet elegance to her head, with a good length to the foreface and a kind round eye. Her long clean neck flows into her topline. She has enough depth for her age with well sprung ribs and nicely boned legs with tight feet. Hindquarters show a good width of thigh and well turned stifle. Moving with positive footfall and showing drive

A pleasing 10 month old bitch, close up to winner, of a nice type she has a little more body than winner at present but not quite as tidy in her movement today. Feminine head, clean through the neck and shoulders, well sprung ribs, enough depth, holding a firm topline. Showing good drive in profile movement

Super development of the body, with depth and spring to the ribs, holding a firm topline both stood and on the move. Ample width to her quarters which were well muscled. Moved with purpose and drive in profile, could have a little more width behind, clean and true in front. Shown in good coat

A little more range to this 16 month old bitch, not quite the depth and development of winner as yet. But it is all there, just needing time, as she has a nice flow to her. Elegant head, clean long neck, holding a firm and level topline, enough depth for age. Well angulated hindquarters, with a good width of thigh and nice short hocks. Striding out on the move

Elegant feminine head, long neck flowing into a firm level topline. Liked her depth and ribbing which was carried well back, another with strong hindquarters. Moving out purposefully, just not quite as precise as winner today

Nice rear assembly which enabled her to move with drive and true fore and aft

Solidly made 2 year old bitch, who is very pleasing to the eye having a flowing outline when stood. Being a bit of a fidget today. Liked her strength though the body, where nothing is overdone but giving a shapely profile. Lovely lean head, nicely chiselled, and good length of ear. Clean flow neck to topline, good depth, firm muscular topline, strong hindquarters. Moving out well, just not as settled as winner today

She he as well developed forechest and depth to the ribcage. Well muscled and width to the hindquarters. Moving freely and in a positive manner

Well built 5 year old, having the desired maturity through the body to give a clean outline with balance and a hint of elegance. Medium sized bitch and being so well proportioned. Moving with an excellent side gait, not quite the precision today of winner

Lovely head, such a kind yet alert expression, she is well developed in the ribcage and forechest, hold a firm level topline both standing and on the move. Strong hindquarters, with a lovely width of thigh and is firm muscular condition. She has a ground covering action and lovely drive - RBCC

Of a different stamp, with so much to like. From a larger mould than winner, she is fit, athletic and full of quality. Liked her overall balance and proportions, but today seemed unsettled when stacked, pulling back into herself at times. Pleasing feminine head, good length and strength to the foreface, slight stop and well shaped eye. She has a clean flow to her topline, good depth and nothing overdone. She came alive on the move, what a showgirl then fabulous width behind and drive, enthusiasm and ground covering in her movement

She is so clean and sound, when stood has a natural presence about her to show off her beautiful body lines. On the stack she has the desired outline and body proportions, one part flowing seamlessly into the next. Elegant head, which is well proportioned, having the desired round eye, giving a gentle and intelligent expression. Her muscular clean neck just flows into a firmly held level topline with harmonious angulations and depth through the body. On the move showed to have power reach and drive and at one with her handler. Shown in good coat and condition – Pleased to award her the BCC & BOS

Lovely shape to this 8 year old bitch, not quite as firm in topline or muscle tone of the winner. That said she has many fine qualities. Feminine head, her long lean head and round eyes giving a kind and expressive manner to her. Clean and straight in front with well knuckled feet. Good depth to the brisket and showing good angles fore and aft. Happy and free striding on the move
