Canadian Eskimo Dogs

I was interested to see some new dogs since I last judged the breed. This is very much a specialist breed and the primary function should never be forgotten. I do enjoy my time with the Canadians.

Class 104 PD (2 Entries) Abs: 1

1st: 327 BAILEY Ms R E Akna Maugrim **

Very promising young male with many good attributes going for him. A good size for his 8 months. Dark eyes and lovely thick ears. Very clean shoulders and good front developing. Good bone and feet. Quality coat texture with cape already showing, although lacking undercoat. Moving out freely with reach and drive. BP

Class 106 LD (2 Entries) Abs: 0

1st: 333 CROFT, Ms R & BICKERDIKE , Mr I & CROFT Akna Ross** At Koroyza

Good strong male who scores in overall construction. Good front sternum and strong neck. Good bone and feet. Strong, well muscled coupling. Well set tail. Moving out with ease and covering ground well. RBD

2nd: 328 BAILEY Ms R E Akna Ignorth **

Another two year old but not as forward as 1. He is a good prospect but needs more confidence, then he will settle into moving out better. Shorter coupled than 1 and not the front development. Lovely head piece.

Fully mature male at the height of his powers. Well balanced head shape with good eyes and neat ears. A delight to go over with good overall construction. Very impressive on the move with well balanced angles and great ground covering. In good double coat. A lovely dog. BD and BOB

Neat bitch in good double coat. Feminine head piece and well set ears. Front construction very good for age and well developed rib cage. Excellent rear action, being wide when she sets off and then getting into stride. Well set tail.

2nd: 325 ATKINS Miss S Qimugta Harpist

Rather out of coat and not as advanced in body as 1 but still a promising bitch. Good neck and leg length. Well set on tail. Needs time.

Class 111 JB (2 Entries) Abs: 0

1st: 334 CROFT, Ms R & BICKERDIKE , Mr I & CROFT Akna Nymph ** At Koroyza

Well grown on bitch who showed well for her owner. In excellent body and superb muscular condition. There is no point having muscle if you do not have muscle tone and this girl excelled in it; strong neck, extra strong loin and well developed first and second thighs. Could do a day’s work with no problem.

Feminine head and dark eye. Lovely front and matching rear angles. Showed an elasticity on the move that contained power. Loved her. BB

2nd: 331 BYRNE Mrs P A Harpan Charlotte Bay Cjw19 Cw19

Slighter girl, but still within size range. Most attractive markings and presenting a pretty profile. Very good head and neck. Moderate angles front and rear. Well prepared and moved out soundly. Preferred the more working attributes of 1.

1st: 326 ATKINS Miss S Akna Peechee*

Mature 4 y/o bitch showing well and doing everything asked of her. Lovely overall proportions. Strong mover up and down and collected profile gait. Moderate angles which balance well on the move.

Class 114 VB (1 Entries) Abs: 0

1st: 330 BAILEY Ms R E Shepherdsway Eskimo Angel At Akna

Approaching ten years and a credit to her owner and late breeder. In lovely order, still showing a good profile and topline. Moving out strongly both ends and covering ground easily. A little matronly around the middle nowadays but aren’t we all! RBB and BV.
