Richmond Dog Show Society

Breed: Italian Greyhound

My thanks to the exhibitors for providing me with a top quality entry at my first appointment awarding CCs. I was really pleased with the quality overall, I felt my line ups for both CCs were very good with a handful of exhibits who could have taken away the green cards.

VD 1st: 481 HENLEY Mrs R H Ch Turigner Thunderbolt JW. Cracking veteran, still in excellent condition. Graceful and elegant, he moved with high stepping and free action in profile and straight action in front and strong action from well muscled and angulated hindquarters. Typical head, flat skull with large and expressive eyes and correctly set ears. Deep chest, with good length of rib and sufficiently arched back. BV.

PD 1st: 497 LOCKIE Mrs L Kimbildon The Earl Of Errol. Long and flat skull, with large expressing eye, ears well set. Nicely arched neck leading to well laid shoulders. Straight front, deep chest and well angulated hindquarters.

JD 1st: 499 RUTTER, Mrs K & BRYAN Miss C Chrisford Fish Finger. A little large for a puppy, but sound and well constructed overall. Typical head and expression, long and flat skull with large eyes and ears set well back. Arched neck and well laid shoulders, straight front, deep chest and well angulated hindquarters, low set tail. Moved with elegance and free action.

2nd: 473 BRISTOW Mrs S Piccolo Riccardo At Surrio. Another on the large side for my preference. Long, narrow skull with slight stop. Nice profile, with slight arch over the loing and well angulated hindquarters.

PGD 1st: 487 HUBBLE Miss D Rockiggy Jumping Jack Flash. Narrow skull with large and expressive eyes. Nicely arched neck leading to long and sloping shoulders. Correct topline. Moved true in straight line with reasonable high stepping action.

2nd: 475 CHANNING-MOOR Mrs A Cresties Field Of Dreams. Long, narrow and flat skull with large and expressive eyes. Thought he lacked the elegance in movement of 1. Hare feet. Lowe set tail.

LD 1st: 482 HENSHALL Mrs C M Gemolli The Sorcerer. Liked him for his size and shape, felt he typified the graceful elegance and ring presence I would expect of an IG. He scored for movement with parallell, straight action in front and rear, high stepping action and excellent propulsion from from well angulated hindquarters. Typical head and expression, with large eyes and ears place well back. Nicely arched neck leading to long and sloping shoulders and deep chest, straight front. Back arched nicely over the loin, low set tail. DCC.

2nd: 506 VAN ZYL Mrs K Rockiggy Ruby Tuesday. Straight front, good outline moved well when settled with high stepping action and drive from hindquarters.

3rd: 479 COLLINS Mrs A Salatini Satinella

PB 1st: 494 LISTER Miss H M Revillo Grazioso. This bitch will be a star of the future, as I assessed her I thought that this was a good omen as I will have worthy CC winner come what may; but as fresh 6 month old, she missed out to her more mature friends and kennel mates on the day. I loved her outline, size and shape, deep chest, nicely arched over the loin, low set tail and well angulated hindquarters. Long and narrow skull with large expressive eyes. BP.

PGB 1st: 504 TILEY-DAVIES Miss S M Toerag Little Sunbeam JW. Sound and well constructed, I liked her head which was of good length with large eyes and ears placed well back. On the move she was elegant with good high stepping action.

LB 1st: 477 CHAU, Miss M Y J & DOHERTY Miss J E Littlebriton Ice And Fire. I felt she was the best mover overall, particularly having straight and parallel action in front and rear and high stepping action in profile. Shapely and well angulated, with correct arch over the loin and well angulated and muscled hindquarters.

OB This was an excellent class, the quality was excellent and it was a real pleasure to judge.

She has a long, narrow and flat skull with large and expressive eyes, nicely arched neck and correctly sloping shoulders. Straight front with correct hare feet, flowing through a deep chest with slight and unexaggerated arch over the loin. In terrific muscular condition she moved with free and elegant action, high stepping with straight and parallen action in front and rear. BCC, BOB and very pleased to watch her win G2.
