My first time awarding CCs in Chihuahuas and I was grateful to the exhibitors for their generosity and support on the day. Overall, I was very pleased with heads, almost all exhibits meeting my expectation of the breed standard. The weather was quite changeable throughout the day so some dogs showed better than others at different times. I thought temperaments were good overall.

Minor Puppy – Dog

A cracking class of promising youngsters to start the day. 

1st Rooney’s Parisland The Gigolo With Yorone. Super puppy who will storm the ring as he matures I am sure. Compact, dainty, well balanced and sound. Well rounded skull, large eyes, correctly set and flared ears. Level back and correct length. Moved well and carried his tail correctly over his back.

2nd Emmerson’s Ismirelle’s Parti Popper. Liked him very much too. Correctly domed skull with well set ears. Level topline and moved well.

3rd Gray’s Rubyanlo Bertie Buttons

Puppy - Dog

1st Entitle’s Dorentys Willy Ekaslike. Correctly proportioned and well balanced overall. Very appealing head, well rounded skull; large and round eyes and correctly set, flaring ears. Level back, he moved well and carried his tail correctly over his back.

2nd Byrne & Joiner’s Jotolemar Dangerous Times With Dacatelo. Liked his head and expression, good stop, dark eye and well set ears. Felt he was a little long in body.

3rd Veavey’s Tidos Its Only Love Taf

Junior - Dog

1st Symon’s Bramerita Here’s Trouble At Charabri. Not making the best of his opportunity today, but he is a quality example of the breed. Correctly domed skull, with round, dark eyes and well set ears. Level back and high set tail.

2nd Chalmers’ Bonni Lasi Nacho. Rounded skull, dark eye, level topline.

3rd Kerr & Bell’s Dorlynnis Island Dreamer

Novice - Dog

1st Martin’s Leathea's Mum S Little Star. Well proportioned overall with level back, moved well.

Post Graduate - Dog

1st Robson’s Tidos God Of Thunder. Balanced and correctly proportioned and spot-on for size. Loved his head, well rounded skull with large, round and dark eyes and correctly set, large, flaring ears. Well laid shoulders, level back and moving with typical brisk action. High set tail that he carried well over his back. Coat in very good condition, soft with feathering on ears and legs and a ruff on his neck. Considered him for RCC.

2nd Wills’ Dorentys Dazzlin Duncan. Rounded skull, large eyes, well set and carried ears. Level back, high set tail that he carried well.

3rd Gray’s Bratilda Strictly Mine

Limit - Dog

1st Chalmers’ Bonni Lasi Irs. Compact and balanced with suitably domed skull and well set ears, clear stop, dark and round eyes. Good reach of neck, slightly arched and leading to well laid shoulders. Level back with well set and carried tail.

2nd Hargreaves’ Lookum Manchester By Tampico. Correct for size and shape. Well set ears with appropriate flaring. Level back, high set tail that he carried over his back.

Open - Dog

1st Hill’s Lynpix The Mexican With Becanna. Masculine, compact, sound and well balanced. I thought his head was excellent, with correct domed skull, well defined stop and short muzzle. Large, dark eyes and flaring ears set at 45 degrees. Slightly arched neck leading to well laid shoulders. Moved with freedom, brisk and forceful action. Correct coat, soft with good feathering and a distinctive ruff on his neck. DCC.

2nd Alarion’s Int Ch Legend Harry De L`Isle Au Vert Coteau. Another adorable head. Well balanced overall and correct for size. Level back, high set tail that he carried correctly over his back. RDCC.

3rd Heap & Palmer’s Ch Penapettit Platinum

Minor Puppy - Bitch

1st Lee’s Barwater Agatha Christie Of Ridgehawk. Sweet and promising puppy. Nicely domed skull, dark eye and correctly set ears. Level back, high set tail that she carried correctly over her back.

2nd Huntley’s Bramerita Bit Of Fluff For Jahneemahs. Equally attractive but I felt the winner moved with more typical action today.

Puppy - Bitch

1st Entwitle’s Dorentys Fancy That. Lovely head and dark eyes, flared ears set at the correct angle. Well laid shoulders, level back, high set tail that she carried well over her back.

2nd Gilling’s Chantico's Mercedes Of Talocan. Correct domed skull, large and round eyes, slightly arched neck. Moved with correct brisk action maintaining her level topline and carrying tail correctly over her back.

3rd Smith’s Gabrielbelle Ghost

Junior - Bitch

1st Price’s My Precious I Love You Of Kircyan. Pleasing for size and overall shape. Domed skull and short muzzle, dark and round eyes and large, flaring ears. Sufficient feathering on ears, legs and plume on tail. Moved with correct brisk action.

2nd Price’s Bramver's Fortune Garden Of Kircyan. Another in very good condition, soft coat and appropriate feathering. Sound, with level back, good angulation. Moved well.

3rd Theaker’s Binkachi Sweet As Candy

Novice - Bitch

1st Turnbull’s Hurascalexi Sylmari. Sufficiently domed skull. Well set ears, dark and round eyes. Nice reach of neck with slight arch. High set tail that she carried correctly over her back.

3rd Theaker’s Binkachi Sweet As Candy

Post Graduate – Bitch

A pretty even class, overall I preferred the head and overall balance of the winner.

1st Radford’s Ridgehawk Treasure Girl. Well balanced, dainty bitch with domed skull, short muzzle, large and dark eyes, large flaring ears set correctly. Level topline that she carried throughout as she moved briskly. High set tail that she carroed well over her back.

2nd Wills’ Dorentys Ello Vera. Correct coat, soft with feathering on ears and legs. High set tail.

3rd Kerr’s Rhinns Jazz On Fire.

Limit - Bitch

1st Heap & Palmer’s Chirouxe Cherry Cherry. Very smart bitch, has a typical chihuahua profile and attitude, compact, dainty and alert. Well constructed with well laid shoulders, level back, well angulated hindquarters giving a sound, brisk and forceful action on the move. Correct soft coat with feathering on ears and legs and plumed tail. Domed skull with defined stop, large round eyes and ears set at the correct angle. RBCC.

2nd Turnbull’s Somergemz Warrior Princess For Hurascalexi. Well balanced, correct for size and proportions. Domed skull with correctly set ears. Slightly arched neck, level back, high set tail that she carried over her back. Moved well.

3rd Theaker’s Copymear Call Me Madam At Binkachi

Open - Bitch

1st Rooney’s Ch Donami Limelight. Super sound and well constructed. Fabulous head and expression with well rounded skull, defined stop, large and round eyes and flaring ears set at the correct angles. Brisk action with good reach and drive from hindquarters. Level back, well laid shoulders and sufficiently angulated hindquarters that underpinned her movement. High set tail that she carried correctly over her back. Soft coat with correct feathering and plumed tail. BCC and BOB.

2nd Smith’s Pocoperro Lexie. Correct for size and balanced overall. Nicely domed skull with correctly set ears. Well constructed with well laid shoulders and level back. Moved well. Soft coat with feathering on ears and legs.

1st Gilling’s Ch Vikkilous Perfect Pasha Of Talocan JW ShCM. Lovely shape and overall outline. High set tail that she carried over her back. Soft coat with good feathering. Domed skull, with large and dark eyes. Moved well, maintaining a level topline throughout.
