East of England Show Spaniel (American Cocker) - Judge: CLAIRE SHARP I thoroughly enjoyed this appointment. I was thrilled with the entry and pleased that absenteeism was minimal. I really did have quantity and quality and in some classes, I really was splitting hairs. Thank you to those who entered and special thanks to my stewards – Margaret & Colin – for their efficiency. PUPPY D Entries: 3 Absentees: 1 1st J & N PRICE & SCOTT - ROTOJETÆS ROLEX TWENTY FOUR AT JACLEE NAF TAF Two very nice pups here but I preferred the cleaner neck and rear movement of this boy. He has a lovely head, long neck into well laid shoulders. Compact body, good topline and a well angulated rear. Good bone and feet and he moves well. 2nd MISS E & MR S MURRAY & MCKENZIE - TOTEM DE LA CHANCE Another quality puppy with lots to like. He has a gorgeous head with chiselling but while his neck is of good length, he has throatiness. He has well laid shoulders and plenty of upperarm. Good topline when stacked. Well angulated rear but perhaps going through a growth spurt at the moment as he was bum high on the move and side winding. Beautifully presented. JUNIOR D Entries: 1 Absentees: 0 1st MR D JENNINGS - ALIBAMA ONLY ON SUNDAY'S A pleasing head with eyes of good colour and correct dentition. Good length of neck. He has good width and depth of chest. Sloping topline, well angulated rear with good width of second thigh. This boy really drives from behind. Immaculately presented. POST GRAD D Entries: 2 Absentees: 0 1st MISS N HUME - HAPPYTAILS HOME MAX Nice headed boy with plenty of work in it. Long, slightly arched neck. Shoulders are well laid back but I’d prefer more length of upperarm. Good depth and width of chest. Firm topline and a strong, well angulated rear. Moves better behind than in front due to shorter upperarm. 2nd MISS E & MR S MURRAY & MCKENZIE - KELLICIOUS NEBRASKA KNIGHT Stacked, I thought this was going to be my winner. A really nicely put together boy and presented in excellent coat & condition. However, on the move, his tail corkscrews over his back and it totally spoils his outline. LIMIT D Entries: 1 Absentees: 0 1st & BP MRS J PRICE - JACLEE WALK THE LINE A really impressive 10 month old who I’m sure is going to have a glittering career. He has a super head, correct dentition, he is well constructed front and rear and has big ribs well back and a short loin. Correct topline. He moves beautifully. Pushed hard for RBD today. OPEN D Entries: 3 Absentees: 0 Wow! What a class this was!! I loved all three of them. 1st, BD & BOB MISS L, MRS L & MRS B BRYANT, NELSON & MORRIS - AM CH/IR CH/SH CH SILHOUETTE TROUBLING NASAILLEEN WITH MYCALLEYS My notes begin with “absolutely stunning”. This dog exudes quality. He has a lovely head, good eye colour, long neck with slight arch. His shoulders are well laid back and he has an excellent length of upperarm – the best in the entry today – which was really evident when he moves. His ribs are well back and he has a short loin. His topline and tailset are excellent and he has a well angulated rear with good width of second thigh. He covers the ground with tremendous reach and drive and is presented in absolute tip top condition. 2nd & RBD MR S, MS F, MRS L & MR B WHINCUP, GLENDINNING, PIT - AM CH/GCH PBJÆS ROCK ON (IMP USA) I’ve admired photos of this boy but this was the first time I’ve seen him in the flesh. He didn’t disappoint. Longer cast than my winner but he is well constructed all through, presented beautifully and moves well. Unlucky to meet 1 on such top form. 3rd MISS T & K HARRIS - HARRISBURG KISS THE GIRL JW SHCM VETERAN D Entries: 0 Absentees: 0 SPEC BEGIN D Entries: 2 Absentees: 2 Disappointed that neither entrants stayed for this class despite having been present in previous classes – especially when there was a Special Beginner’s group. Not staying, without giving an explanation to me or the stewards, appeared unsporting. PUPPY B Entries: 4 Absentees: 0 Class of super puppy bitches! 1st MISS T & K HARRIS - CHEYENNE MOSER DOG WITH HARRISBURG (IMP CZE) I was splitting hairs between 1 & 2 but I just preferred the topline of my winner on the move. She looked the real baby in this class but there is so much to like. She has the most attractive head, long neck, a little upright in shoulders, she has width and depth and a well angulated rear. She moves well and is beautifully presented. 2nd MISS N HUME - ECCLESIASTES COPPELIA Another lovely pup with a good head. She is well constructed and has good bone and feet. Moves with reach and drive. 3rd MRS J PRICE - ROTOJET'S RENDEZVOUS AT JACLEE NAF JUNIOR B Entries: 1 Absentees: 1 POST GRAD B Entries: 1 Absentees: 1 LIMIT B Entries: 3 Absentees: 1 1st & BB MISS B DUMMETT - BOGESTVENNAYA SKAZKA ESTRELLA AT ALMONDSBURY (IMP BLR) A lovely headed girl with a long, slightly arched neck into well laid shoulders. She has a good return of upperarm and good bone and feet. She has a deep chest with good width, big ribs and short loin. Her topline/tailset is good both standing and moving and she has a well angulated rear with good width of second thigh. In lovely fit condition. She moved really well, covering the ground effortlessly. 2nd MRS J PRICE - PELHAMCOURT GOOD TIMES WITH JACLEE A quality puppy who looks far more mature than her age! I preferred the lay of shoulder of my winner but nonetheless, this is a well constructed girl with a lovely head who moved well and was presented beautifully. OPEN B Entries: 2 Absentees: 0 1st & RBB MRS E & MISS H WHITE - ADMIRAL'S SHOU A-ONE IN A MILLION AT TANTRIPP (IMP RUS) JW SHCM Won this class on her superior front angulation which was really evident on the move. If I were being picky, I’d prefer a bit more length of leg but she is so pretty, so nicely constructed and she covers the ground with super reach and drive. 2nd MISS L, MRS L, MRS J & MR T BRYANT, NELSON, CAINE - SH CH NASAILLEEN SECRET LIAISON This girl has the most exquisite head/expression. She has a long neck, her topline/tailset are excellent and she has a lovely backend. Presented in immaculate condition. She moved soundly, just not with the reach of my winner.
