I would like to thank the committee for the opportunity to award CC’s at this lovely show. Due to work commitments I had been at the showground for almost a week prior to this judging appointment and I was so relived on this day that the hot weather we had experienced had considerably cooled down for the sake of the dogs. It was too be a very busy day as the Plymouth Devon & Cornwall Bulldog Club Championship Show was to follow on in the same ring once I had finished judging. I was delighted to see that my DCC gained his title as Champion and that I awarded the second CC to the bitch that then went on to gain her Champion title later that day. I had an extremely enjoyable day judging the only thing that was a dampener on the day was that my wife informed me after I had finished judging that an exhibitor had to leave half way through my appointment due to his mum and daughter having a car accident. Wishing them both a speedy recovery.

Class 1300 MPD (7 Entries) Abs: 1

1st: BANNISTER Mr A R & Mrs C L Andlare Bobby Dazzler White & Red a promising youngster with a nice width of jaw, wide nostril and stunning dark eyes, with correct ear placement. Square front with ample bone and tight feet for such a youngster. A lovely pear shaped body with an excellent spring of rib, correct topline and rear angulation. You cannot fault the role in his movement as the markings on his back show it perfectly whilst moving correctly. Looking forward to see how this puppy matures. BPIB. Performed well in the puppy group but sadly not placed.

2nd: DAVIES Mr S M Baalzebul Eeeyore Red & white again another youngster with promising qualities at only 6 months old. Broad flat skull with a nice dark eye and correct ear placement and layback. Square in front with ample bone. Good spring of rib, correct topline leading to a good rear angulation. Moved well.

Class 1302 JD (4 Entries) Abs: 0

1st: SIBBICK Mrs S Treasurabull Peaky Blinder JW Red and White. A substantial dog with a strong head and sour expression. Well placed ears with open nostrils and dark eyes. Good turn up and width of jaw. Solid front with ample bone, brisket and rib. Moved soundly and correct topline.

2nd: HANLEY Miss S E Blenhiemstar Dee Red & White, Standard in size, broad flat skull, dark eyes and well placed ears, a little heavy in nose roll. Ample bone with good spring of rib and pear shaped body. Moved well.

Class 1303 YD (4 Entries) Abs: 0

1st: ALLEN Mr & Mrs P M Ranfire All About Christian Red & White, a very substantial male again standard in size, clean in head with a good width of jaw, dark eyes and wide nostrils. Ample bone leading to tight feet, spring of rib and well muscled hind quarters. Free moving tail, moved well. With a little bit of fine tuning this dog could be top draw.

2nd: WINTER Mr S Silobull Supersonic White and Red, another standard red and white male with a broad flat skull, clear dark eyes and strong fore-face to a correct jaw. Good turn of shoulder with strong bone and tight feet. Pear shaped body and walked his width, moved soundly.

Class 1304 PGD (5 Entries) Abs: 3

1st: FISHER Mr & Mrs M J & R Onahia Del Atlante He's The Only One At Waneta (Imp) Red and White. A substantial dog with a clean head and sour expression. Dark eyes, correct ear placement with open nostrils. Good turn up and width of jaw. Ample bone, and rib. Moved soundly and correct topline.

2nd: VOSPER Mr S Busterleigh Seven Seas Red and white, good upturn of jaw, wide in nostril with dark eyes. Ample bone and brisket, pear shaped body moved well.

Class 1305 LD (9 Entries) Abs: 0

1st: DAVIS Mr K Matteo Av Wesbasian Mystyle (Imp Nor) White and red standard size male, Broad flat skull with dark eyes, clean in head with sour expression. Fabulous nostrils and width of jaw with good upsweep. Ample bone with turn of shoulder and brisket. Pear shaped body with good spring of rib and free moving tail. Moved and handled well, my RDCC but pushed hard for the DCC.

2nd: STUTTER Mrs L Erimusbulls Cooper At Linmist Red and White substantial male. Square in front, broad flat skull, stunning dark clear eyes set well with good fore-face with correct jaw. Ample bone and tight feet. Good reach of neck, well sprung in rib leading to a pear shaped body with free set tail. Moved and handled well.

Class 1306 OD (10 Entries) Abs: 2

1st: BRAGGER, Mr & HILL Mrs M Prideofbully Rembrandt JW A masculine standard red and white male with a fantastic expression. Broad flat skull finely wrinkled. Well filled foreface and good turn up coupled with a good width of jaw and side on layback. Wide open nostrils, clear dark eyes and correct ear placement. Strong in front with ample bone and tacked on shoulders. A good reach of neck, well sprung rib and rear angulation. Moved and handled well. My DCC & BOB. Presented himself exceptionally well in the group but sadly not placed.

2nd: EATON Mr R & Mrs V Ch Ricatori Roman King Red and White male which has been absent from the ring for some time however showed like he had not been away. Broad flat skull with finely wrinkled head. Dark eyes and wide jaw. Ample bone with neat tight feet. Well sprung rib with rear angulation and well placed tail. Moved well.

Class 1307 SBD (1 Entries) Abs: 0

1st: NICHOLSON Mr & Mrs J Melafella Cool And Cocky Red and white. Standard male with a good head and expression. Well placed no rose and underjaw, dark eye and good nostrils. Spring of rib with pear shaped body. Nice profile and topline with free moving tail

Class 1309 MPB (5 Entries) Abs: 0

1st: WILTSHIRE, Mrs J & CONNOLLY Mrs L Ladymere Miss Money Penny Fawn & White, Very feminine but in no way fine youngster, good width of jaw, broad flat skull, beautiful dark clear eyes, good nostrils. Ample bone for her size with tight feet. Pear shaped body and rear angulation. Moved well.

2nd: STUTTER Mrs L Linmist Reet Petite Red and White, standard sized minor puppy, promising head with a good width of jaw and upturn. Dark eye and good nostrils. Good bone and square in front, good spring of rib, pear shaped body and free moving tail. Moved well.

Class 1310 PB (5 Entries) Abs: 1

1st: DAVIS Mr K Mystyle Lillian Red & White, all there for such a youngster with a fabulous width of jaw and upturn, dark clear eyes, wide in nostril and broad flat skull. Square in front with a deep brisket and tight feet. Pear shaped body, good spring of rib and rear angulation. Moved well holding her correct topline.

2nd: ELLISON Miss V Maghullpaws Crazy In Love Red & White, Lovely width of jaw and upturn, dark clear eyes with a clean head and well placed ears. Ample bone with tidy feet leading to a good spring of rib and great body shape. Good topline and moved well.

Class 1311 JB (4 Entries) Abs: 0

1st: INGAMELLS, Miss C L & LEES Mrs D Mellowmood Cover Girl For Chelajay Red and White feminine bitch caught my eye as she entered the ring. Well fitting true jaw with good upsweep, strong foreface with clear dark eyes giving a sour expression. Good turn of shoulder with a lovely brisket and tight feet. Pear shaped body with ample rib and well muscled high quarters. Moved exceptionally well and more than happy to award this bitch the BCC

2nd: EATON Mr R & Mrs V Ricatori Imagine That Red & white again feminine but in no way fine. Good width and upturn of jaw, lovely wide nostrils and dark clear eyes. Broad flat skull will well placed ears . Ample bone and brisket leading to a lovely body shape. Moved and handled well and happy to award this bitch the RBCC.

Class 1312 YB (7 Entries) Abs: 0

1st: INNES Ms C Cholto Silver Buttons Brindle and White, a very pleasing bitch to the eye, with a strong head with a lovely width of jaw. Broad flat skull and well placed ears. Dark clear eyes and wide open nostrils. Fabulous turn of shoulder with a square front and good brisket. Pear shaped body with good topline held on the move.

2nd: DEARLOVE Mrs S & Mr J Ryjarlow Shooting Star Red and white very balanced bitch, quality head with well placed ears, dark clear eyes with a well placed nose and open nostrils. Bone suits her size with a pear shaped body, rib and rear angulation. Good topline moved and handled well.

Class 1313 PGB (2 Entries) Abs: 0

1st: KALKMAN Mr A Ricatori Look Again White and red feminine bitch, pleasing head with straight jaw, good upsweep, dark eyes and well placed ears. Well boned with deep brisket, good spring of rib and rear anguation. Moved well.

2nd: MAYO Mrs S & Mr G Triarder Abita Posh At Gasholi Red and white, good width of jaw, dark eyes, well set ears, ample bone with pear shaped body, Moved and handled well.

Class 1314 LB (10 Entries) Abs: 0

1st: WADE Miss M Linmist Hopes And Dreams Red and White feminine bitch with great qualities. Broad flat skull with wide jaw and good upturn. Dark eyes, well placed and wide nostrils, correct ears. Ample bone with good shoulders and brisket. Good body shape with a spring of rib and topline. Free moving tail moved and handled well.

2nd: WELLER Mrs G Baalzebul Constance For Geenawell White and Red well proportioned feminine bitch Good sour expression with a good width of jaw and turn up of jaw. Ample bone and substance, pear shaped body with deep brisket, rear angulation, good topline and moved well.

Class 1315 OB (6 Entries) Abs: 1

1st: BANNISTER Mr A R & Mrs C L Ch Andlare This Is Kaboodle JW A quality red and white bitch so very feminine but in no way fine, presented in absolutely immaculate condition. Good turn of jaw, open wide nostrils with good layback . Broad flat skull with rose ears and a well filled face. Square in front with ample bone and tight feet. Compact body shape with plenty of rib, pear shaped and good hindquarters.

2nd:HANLEY Miss S E Ragmarte Middle Earth As Blenhiemstar Another quality bitch of standard size with a great head and sour expression. Ample bone and square front with a pear shaped body, neat hind quarters and correct topline. Moved and handled well.
