Thanks to those exhibitors who had entered under Rosemary Talbot for their sporting acceptance of my decisions.  Many of us were thinking of her and wishing her well. Thanks also to my excellent stewards. 

Minor Puppy - Dog

1ST        MORRIS & FINLAYSON’S -FINHAMSPRIDE KOVU  - 7  months with head developing nicely for age. Excelled in neck and shoulders, and in overall balance at this stage.  Elbows fitting well to chest,  correct bone, and good front, pasterns and feet.  In good coat and well handled, he scored here on his positive driving movement.  BPIB 

2 BLAIN’S  RONEVORG IM A BELIEVER IN STEELRIVER – 8 months, not as mature as (1)  but none the worse for that. Very typy head, good angulation both ends, well-fitting elbows, short-coupled. In good coat and moved soundly. 

3RD STEWART ‘S  CANDIDACASA FINAL ENCORE AT ESKSIDE  

Puppy - Dog

1ST C FINAL ENCORE AT E – 7 month old who needs time to fill out his frame. Attractive head, correct angulation front and rear, short-coupled with good topline.  Movement needs to tighten. 

Junior - Dog

1ST  YOUNG’S  BALLYRIVER BACK TO BASICS -  15 months and medium-sized, nice balance and well handled to complete the picture. Masculine head with soft expression. Good neck and shoulders into correct topline. Good forechest, bone front and tight feet.  Deep body. Moved with drive. 

2ND NICHOLSON & BROWN’S  EVERBLACK BACKSEAT DRIVER – 14 months, rangier in build and will need more time. Appealing head, enough angulation both ends, good topline. Rather short of coat today. Strode out well on the move.

1ST MCCONNELL’S  KAZVAL LUGANO AT TORRWEAVING  - standing alone but well worthy of his first place. Balanced outline. Masculine head with kind expression. Correct front assembly with good forechest. Nice depth of chest to well-fitting elbows, short-coupled, good bend of stifle. Went round the ring with style and drive, in good coat.

1ST STEVENSON’S  PLAINFIRE'S THE CAPTAIN OF MY HEART IS STEELRIVER (IMP CHE) – this boy took my eye from the start. Super balance and style, in good coat and condition. Really showing off and striding out. Very typy head, super front construction and deep chest to well-fitting elbows. Short-coupled with well bent stifles.  RCC 

2ND LAIRD’S  ISLSTROM BLACK GROUSE OF DAICHEIL – smaller type than (1) and very pleased with himself today, as he showed on the move.  Typical head, Good forechest, strong bone and tight feet.  Deep, short-coupled body. In full gleaming coat and hard condition.

1ST HILL’S  VBOS THE MAN FROM SANTA FE  - all male, upstanding dog in good coat and condition who really owned the ring.  Masculine head, strong balanced body, straight front and super feet.  Short deep body with firm topline. 

2ND HARRIS’ HIGHLANDER Z MOKRE HORY AT SIANCALA (IMP CZE) – another balanced dog , unexaggerated, with typy head. Correct angulation both ends, deep chest to elbows. Lovely line from neck through to tail. Moved with drive. 

3RD CULLEN’S ORKHATOS LUCAS AT AUCHINBRECK SHCM

1ST REYNOLD’S WICCANSSAGE HUGO'S DREAM JW  -  having just used this dog, all my instincts screamed against putting him up. However, he was the best dog on the day and could not be denied the CC. good size, in excellent coat and condition and really strode around the ring with good extension and drive.  Masculine head, deep chest and well-angulated body, with a straight front and super feet. 

2ND BLAIN’S  SH CH CACI'S JUST A GIGOLO AT STEELRIVER (IMP SWE) JW – not as finished as (1). Lovely head, good front construction, correct spring of rib, well bent stifles, good topline and tailset. Moved well.

1ST DOUGLAS’  SH CH GREENBAYHILL BLACK TUXEDO –rising 10 years, in very good nick, a dog I have always liked. Super head, balanced body with firm topline, good forechest, front and bone. Well bent stifles. Moved like a youngster. 

2ND STEWART’S  HIGHAMMILL FIFO  - 8 years medium-sized dog in hard condition.  Lovely head. Good angulation both ends. Correct bone, front and feet  and firm topline. Moved with style and drive.

2ND PICK POCKET -  typical head, did not have the balance of (1).  Well up to size. Masculine head a kind expression.  Good construction but today lacked coat and animation.

1ST MORRIS & FINLAYSON’S FINHAMSPRIDE SARAFINA  - very little to choose between these puppies, and in the end I just preferred the head of (1).  Very wriggly but eventually settled on the move, when she went round with drive and enthusiasm.  Feminine, nice shape for age in gleaming coat.  Well-angulated. BPB 

2ND REES’  RAVENCAR JUMP OVER THE MOON TO ESKWINDS  - pretty 6 month old, also balanced and shown in good coat and condition. Good bone and front, lovely stifles. Moved well.

1ST WHITAKER’S EVENING MIST BLACK BRIANTA (CZE) -  very balanced and feminine but somewhat lacking in coat today.  Very pretty head and expression. Good angulation both ends, lovely forechest and good depth of body for age.Moved with style and drive. Very promising.

1ST VARTY-LINDSAY’S  BAGFUL OF BANANAS OPTIMUS CANIS (IMP POL) – liver girl, very balanced and shown in gleaming coat and hard condition.  Very pretty head with good eye colour. Straight front, good bone and forechest.  Good angulation both ends, and thus moved with style and drive. 

2ND VERRECCHIA’S  ROTHERFIELD IT'S ALL ABOUT ME VIA INCANTO – another stylish feminine bitch. Super line from neck to tail. Correct angulation front and rear. Body at appropriate stage of development and needs time to deepen.  Moved well and showed happily.

1ST IRVINE’S  WISTASTON KENTUCKIAN LADY AT VBOS (AI)  - very feminine and  shown in good coat and condition.  Nice depth of body and correct angulation both ends. Constantly wagging tail.  Gave her handler a hard time on the move.

1ST GALE’S  WILLOWSWIND NETTE LARK JW – feminine bitch with a typy head, good neck, shoulders and forechest, with mature body.  Correct front and bone with tight feet. Moved well and showed happily. 

2ND GRAY’S ROTHERFIELD REASON TO DREAM OF AISLEAR – smaller and more lightly built than (1) which is not a problem. Very feminine and balanced. Lovely front angulation and forechest.  Super stifles. Lively mover. Close decision here between two very different types. 

3RD VARTY-LINDSAY & VARTY’S   LEVLIANN FLICKERING FLAME

1ST THORPE’S CANDIDACASA PORSCHE AT MONTREATHMNT  -  balanced in build but today carrying a little too much weight for my liking.  Very sweet head and expression. Correct angulation at both ends of a mature body. In full gleaming coat. Showed happily and moved well. 

2ND RATTRAY’S  ROTHERFIELD I'M ON TIME -  smaller than (1) and would personally prefer a little more length of leg. Feminine head. Good front assembly and forechest.  Deep through the heart. Coat condition not as good as (1). Moved with drive, 

Open - Bitch

1ST YOUNG’S SH CH BALLYRIVER BIMBO – two very nice bitches of different types (1) being a little smaller. She filled my eye, wagging happily and moving enthusiastically with style and drive in full shining coat. Extremely feminine with sweetest head.  Lovely line from neck to tail and super angulation at both ends. CC, BOB. 

2ND JACOBS‘  JWW15 MOONSTRUCK MACADAMIA  - another girl with lovely balance and mature body, showing with enthusiasm and moving soundly. Sweet head and well  constructed all through.  Today did not have the coat of (1) and was less animated on the move, but these two could change places on another day. 

Veteran - Bitch

1ST ROSS’  SH CH ISLSTROM TORRACHILTY JW – a super girl at 9 years old, one I have done well before. Very sweet head. Beautifully constructed throughout, retaining her firm topline.  Dripping in coat and wagging happily, she can still show the youingsters how to move. RCC and BV 

2ND HOLMES’  SH CH BALLYRIVER FLASHDANCE  - another beautiful veteran; today didn’t have the coat of (1) but this showed off her excellent construction.  Super topline . Moved with drive and enthusiasm. 

3RD GALE’S  WILLOWSWIND MAIAS WISH  

Good Citizen Dog Scheme - Bitch

1ST STEVENSON’S STEELRIVER SUN KISSED JW  - feminine girl in lean condition and not in best coat after her maternal duties.  Sweet head, good neck and shoulders. Straight front and level topline. Good bend of stifle. Showed happily and went around the ring in overdrive.
