Smooth Coat Chihuahua

It was such an honour to be asked to judge Smooth Coat Chihuahuas at Chihuahua Club of South Wales

Championship Show. Id like to thank Dr Curr for the invitation and for such a special day.

Minor Puppy Dog

1st Humphreys  Borjomi Yarrow Amarantos Young male full of quality, with such a masculine head and expression, large well placed ears and large expressive eyes. He has a firm body. He moves soundly with drive. A saucy personality and already an attentive show boy,

2nd Halls Jorazan Rocky Balboa Well put together and moved very soundly, showing off his smart outline. Liked his head qualities, domed skull and well balanced muzzle

1st Fothergill’s Bondor Mr Sunshine At Diamonchi Presents an attractive picture, good head and pleasing expression enhanced by his large eye which gave him the edge today. Good mouth with correct scissor bite, nice neck of medium length Decent forehand and strong nicely muscled hindquarters. Moves well and shows to good advantage.Best Puppy Dog

2nd Halls Jorazan Apollo Creed Another good youngster, very dainty with good head and skull and correct ear type at set. Firm well ribbed body with good topline, and tailset and carriage . Moved soundly.

1st Sutton’s Jicara Heartbreaker Nikitos Compact young male ,well rounded head and skull with correct length of muzzle, definite stop, correct dark round eyes , good clean dentition ,neck slightly arched, level topline, nice turn of stifle ,correct coat type, moved well keeping level topline  

2nd Hunt’s Moltobello Pride and Joy Has a good head and skull , muzzle of good proportion to head with large well set ears and correct type and nice dark eye. Good forequarters, firm well ribbed body. Moved soundly and showed to advantage

Novice Dog

1st Foote’s Leander Black Friday At Ballybroke very sound male, fine boned, straight front, good ribs  and well laid shoulders ,well sprung ribs level topline with well carried tail. Another with large dark eyes, well balanced muzzle and correctly placed large flaring ears good positive movement

2nd Davis’s Sayenchis Aria Magico At Chibull  Well rounded skull with moderately short muzzle, definite stop, correct size and colour of eyes, good clean dentition and ears, well proportioned body with correct tail set, good level topline,  smart and sound on the move

3rd Ginger’s Jodeschi Incoming Blizzard

1st Sutton’s Jicara Poised To Strike Nikitos Lively and full of spirit, dainty and well balanced with a good head, well set ears and lovely dark round eyes.correct scissor bite and neck of medium length good straight forequarters and correct spring of rib, level topline which he maintained on the move , moved well with a brisk  driving action.

1st Veazey’s Tidos Widhful Walter At Crichlys Well proportioned  and very alert  ,well rounded skull , definite stop, correct scissor bite and correct size eyes, good type and set of ear, good clean dentition ,straight forelegs, level topline, good spring of rib ,correct coat texture very good tail carriage , nice driving movement

2nd Mann’s Mitimnu Polar Ice Nice overall picture when standing well proportioned body ,correct head and skull ,good scissor bite, neck of correct length, deep brisket and good spring of ribs, well laid shoulders straight front legs, level topline, correct tail carriage, good texture coat good drive in hindquarters

1st Stangoe’s Torre Del Pilar Pocoyo With Stanghurst  Dainty , alert and well balanced with a good apple domed head, well set ears and lovely eyes. Good correct scissor bite with neck of medium length level topline and nice muscular hindquaters, Lively and full of spirit he moved well with a brisk purposeful action.

2nd Lewis’s You’ll Never Walk Alone; Lovely alert expression, good head and skull good lean jaws and cheeks, correct colour eyes, good scissor bite, level topline and deep brisket , small and dainty feet and nicely  cushioned pads  nice coat , moved soundly

1st Facey’s Ch Coypmear Calendar Boy Jw Beautifully balanced and with a lovely head and expression.beautiful apple domed haed and skull nice large dark round eyes Nicely arched neck which he used to advantage. Good forehand, well ribbed body with good topline and tailset. Moved out well with a brisk even action and each time I looked at him he was standing just right

2nd Anderson’s Lumanati Rolling Thunder A good moving well balanced dog with a lovely head and expression, good sized eye and large well set ears. Dainty and lively with a good body, well ribbed with good tailset. Moves well with some style. Pressed winner hard these 2 male could change places on another day. Im sure he’s title wont be far away. RCC

Minor Puppy Bitch

1st Huntley’s Jahneemahs Calendar Girl A very showy young female, full of confidence and character. She has a well-balanced outline, pleasing head, with good ear set and large eyes. She had a level topline, good tail set and flat furry tail makes an overall attractive picture. Put down in first class condition, she shows well for a youngster, moving soundly with drive from behind. A quality girl whom I’m sure we will be hearing a lot more of.

2nd Entwistle’s Dorenty’s Tinkerbell   Very similar to winner with much to like. A pretty head and expression, good ear placement and large expressive eyes. She has a good body and tail set and moves soundly and positively. Not quite so confident as the winner today but very promising and another whom we shall hear more of in the future

3rd Smith’s Gabrielbelle Rhapsody Naf

Puppy Bitch

1st Rooney’s Borjomi Beyonce At Yorone A super young female. She has a large apple dome head with well-placed ears, good eye placement and a cheeky expression. A level topline, good tailset, flat furry tail all adds to her all round quality. Full of breed type and a big personality to match, this female is a very able and attentive show girl and I was pleased to award her the BCC, Best Puppy Bitch , Best Puppy in Breed and Res Best of Breed

2nd  Entwistle’s Donami Toffee Luv’s Dorenty A smart baby with a lovely head and expression, Large eye, good mouth.good reach of neck  Nice straight forelegs and good body nice spring of rib, level topline and good tail set and type. Well balanced , Moved and showed well.

1st Hornby’s Bramerita Proseco Please A nice size ,very alert, correct head and skull with good definite stop, large dark round eyes, ears set at correct angle, nice scissor bite, correct shoulders straight forelegs, well sprung ribs with nice small and  dainty feet, texture of coat good, correct tail set and carriage, good turn of stifle and good muscular hindquarters, moved well

2nd Fairbairn’s Tidos Mission Insanity Solidly built with a decent head and expression, very alert  good large round eyes and  clean dentition. Well bodied with good topline and tailset which gave her an advantage here. Moved well.

1st Rooney’s Jicara High Voltage Beautifully balanced and very pleasing to handle as she is so well made, good skull and lovely expressive round eyes. Excellent forehand with nicely arched neck, good body and strong well angulated hindquarters. Moved out really well and she has a smooth soft coat pushed hard for CC and RCC

Darkest of eyes, set into her well shaped skull, correctly placed ears, vey sound on the move

2nd Sutton’s Ch Lozek Rhapsody In Blue Nikitos  Jw   Lovely head and shown in perfect coat and condition. Good forehand, well ribbed but just a fraction longer than the winner. Strong, well muscled hindquarters and he too moved soundly with purpose and drive.
