Manchester Dog Show Society

My thanks to the Committee of Manchester for affording me the opportunity of awarding CCs in this breed for the first time. I felt that there was more quality in the dogs than the bitches overall and there were many close decisions  

PD (6 Entries) Abs: 1 

1st: WHITTAKER Mrs J & Mr R Tyrbechgyn Just Jacob. Good overall balance. A fraction longer than would be my preference. Scored in head with lean cheeks and good chiselling beneath the eyes. Moderately short neck. Well laid shoulder and return of upper arm. Good depth of chest for age. Well made hindquarters. Movement viewed going away was the best in the class with excellent open side gait.

2nd: SANDERSON Mr M R & Mrs C R Owlspoint Trouble Again. Heavier in build than winner. Good square outline. Balanced head with lean cheeks. Deep wide chest. Well ribbed back. Strong hindquarters. Powerful movement with good open side gait. Not quite as accurate going away

3rd: SLADDEN Mr I Tyrbechgyn Believe You Will at Canemamans

2nd: SLADDEN Mr I Tyrbechgyn Believe You Will at Canemamans. Well balanced outline. Good head planes. Clean neck and well laid shoulder. Chest of good depth. Well ribbed. Could have better tailset. Correct bone and feet. Moved on good open side gait.

3rd: BURNSIDE Mr & Miss M & S Owlspoint Makin Trouble 

PGD (2 Entries) Abs: 0 

1st: COTTERELL Mr & Mrs W & P Valcor Hijo Del Abderraman. Well balanced with square outline. Excellent head with divergent planes. Short neck. Good lay of shoulder. Chest of good width and depth. Well ribbed back. Strong hindquarters. Good bone and feet. Moved well in profile. Could be tidier out and back

2nd: COX Dr P W & Mrs L A Gunsyn Landslide. Longer cast than the winner. Pleasing head and expression. Deep chest. Slightly long in loin. Good bone. Feet spoilt by nails being too long. Not the forward extension of winner on the move.

1st: HUDSON-SMITH, Ms L & COTTERELL Mrs P Valcor Rebel Alliance For Fancyguns 

Well made with good square outline. Pleasing head. I would like a little more leanness in cheeks. Chest of good width and depth. Well ribbed back. Strong well muscled croup and hindquarters. Excellent bone and feet. Moved well with excellent open side gait. Close up for top honours.

2nd: JACKSON Mrs N Gunsyn Tusk Lighter in build. Excellent head and expression. Moderate length of neck. Deep chest. Good spring of rib. Well made hindquarters. Moved well. Just felt winner had more substance all through

1st: GOODE Mr & Mrs M Owlspoint King Of Trouble At Brackenvale JW Sh.CM 

Upstanding dog. Super square outline. Correct head with divergent planes and well chiselled beneath the eyes. Neck of moderate length leading to correct lay of shoulder and return of upper arm. Deep wide chest. Correct length and spring of ribcage. Strong hindquarters. Well let down hocks. Excellent bone and the best of feet. Moved well fore and aft and showed good length of stride when viewed in profile. CC & BOB

2nd: BELL, Miss A & MADDOX Miss N Owlspoint Master Of Trouble Sh.CM. 

Close up to winner. Well balanced all through. Good head with divergent planes and lean cheeks. Moderate length of neck leading to good lay of shoulder. Deep chest. Well ribbed back. Strong hindquarters. Feet spoilt by long nails. Moved well with good length of stride. RCC

2nd: DODDS, Ms C A & PEARSON Mr S A Braccorions Nesta Vipas. Another quality puppy. Good head with lean cheeks. Moderate neck and well laid shoulder. Well ribbed with strong loin and hindquarters. Good bone and feet. Front movement not as positive as winner

3rd: HARRISON Mr M F & Mrs K Owlspoint Angel Of Trouble 

JB (6 Entries) Abs: 2 

1st: WILLIAMS Ms S You Can Shut Up And Smile. Good outline. Well balanced head with lean cheeks and deep muzzle. Chest of good width and depth. Well sprung ribcage. Short loin. Strong hindquarters. Good bone and feet. Moved well. Just needs to settle a little and gain more confidence

2nd: SLADDEN Mr I Feel Of Pride Eva Elettra At Canemamans (Imp) Longer cast than winner and I would like a little more substance all through. I would like a little more work in the head. Well laid shoulder. Correct spring of rib and well made hindquarters. Would like more bone throughout. Movement not as tidy coming in as winner

3rd: ANGUS Mrs L V Braccorion's Livin It Up 

PGB (2 Entries) Abs: 1 

1st: JACKSON Mrs N Polcevera's Evangelina. Well balanced with square outline. Good head planes. Short neck. Correct forehand angulation. Deep chest. Well ribbed back. Slighty overangulated in hindquarters. Moved on good stride

LB (5 Entries) Abs: 0 

1st: CARR, Mr M & Mrs D & CARR Miss L D Braccibrook's Wild One. Excellent outline. Feminine head with lean cheeks and well chiselled beneath the eyes. Moderate length of neck. Well laid shoulder and return of upper arm. Deep chest of good width. Well ribbed back. Strong hindquarters. Good bone with excellent feet. Moved the best in this class. Not as accurate in the challenge which ultimately cost her top honours. RCC

2nd: BELL, Miss A & MADDOX Miss N Owlspoint Queen Of Trouble Another quality bitch. Well balanced. Good head with short neck and well laid shoulder. Deep chest. Well ribbed back. Strong hindquarters. Not quite positive rear move of winner today

3rd: TITCHMARSH Mr M & Mrs C Valcor Princess Of Alderone 

OB (6 Entries) Abs: 1 

1st: FROST Mesdames A & J Dora Of Bushwacker (Imp) It. Well balanced all through - perhaps a shade longer than my ideal. Excellent head with divergent planes and lean cheeks. Well laid shoulder and return of upper arm. Good width and depth of chest. Strong hindquarters. Movement was best in class both fore and aft and in profile - very smooth and ground covering.

2nd: HUDSON-SMITH, Ms L & COTTERELL Mrs P Fancygun Fire Your Guns For Valcor (Imp) It . Another quality bitch. Initially thought she would be my winner as I preferred her outline. Excellent head with smooth lean cheeks and good depth of muzzle. Chest deep and wide. Well sprung rib. Strong hindquarters. On the move she just didn’t quite have the rear drive and ground covering gait of the winner but I liked her a lot.

3rd: POWELL Ms J M Madreliath's Omaggio 

VB (2 Entries) Abs: 0 

1st: CARR, Mr M & Mrs D & CARR Miss L D Ir Sh Ch Laumidorn Rachel Carson Sh.CM 

Excellent overall balance with good square outline. Super head with divergent planes, lean cheeks and deep muzzle. Short neck. Well laid shoulder and return of upper arm. Deep chest of good width. Well ribbed back. Strong hindquarters with correctly bent stifles. Excellent bone and feet. On the move she powered around the ring showing an excellent open side gait. This she kept up in the challenge to win the CC. BV.

2nd: POWELL Ms J M Bonario Burlesque. Taller and slightly longer cast than winner but in excellent condition for her age. Good head with lean cheeks. Deep chest. Well ribbed back. Strong hindquarters. Not quite the powerful movement of the winner.
