Judge: Mrs Angie Johns

Thank you to the committee for the invitation to judge at this well managed show and one of my favourites in the show calendar. I am thankful to all the exhibitors for their entries making one of the biggest this year and the biggest working entry of the show. I found the entry to be of such good quality in the majority of classes right down the line which made some decisions difficult and had to split hairs to find my final line ups. The ring was large but ground was not the best being uneven in places. I’m sure on a different day places could change. For the most part dogs and bitches were easily distinguishable which I was pleased about. Many exhibits were in the summer attire, but this is to be expected this time of year and did not impact on placings. Most exhibits were in good, lean, hard muscled condition although there were a few that have lost top condition following a working season and coat blowing. Overall, there was some excellent movers today which was displayed by all of my winners.
