West Bromwich & Wednesbury Canine Society

Thanks to West Bromwich and Wednesbury canine society for inviting me as a change of judge for Shar Pei.

This is a breed I havent judged before BUT I hope its not the last time after going over quality dogs like this.

I will be eagerly looking out for a seminar on this breed and hope to attend if possible.

I only got my hands on 3 dogs BUT overall they were I believe splendid examples of the breed.

1st Grimshaws Hafferlaffen moonlight shadows at Sharpuggles.

1 year old red bitch.

I that catches your eye when entering the ring.

Good head not overly wrinkled.

 Well defined stop .

Correct broad muzzle

. Nice scissor bite and super Pigmentation to the mouth and tongue.

Clear eyes of nice almond shape.

Good Thick ears ears and set.

Nice length and shape of neck.

Lovely square outline with a very nice topline.

Moved extremely well on compact feet both coming and going.

1st Dawsons Loupeis Paco Rabbanne at Quinnhalo.

20 month old dog.

Absolute beautiful dog of standard size.

Excellent skull on this lad both broad and flat .

Correct clear almond shaped eyes superbly positioned.

Another with the correct scissor bite and pigmentation to a good mouth which is so important in the standard of this breed.

Really nice shoulder placement.

Straight bone to forelegs to good feet.

Absolutly loved the broadness of this dogs chest.

I believe this dog as an outstanding topline with the correct rise from the withers to a short coupled body with a high set tail carried well.

Good rear with well let down hocks.

Overall this dog is very well put together.

He was a little put off today by outside the ring female attention and his mind was elsewhere .

Testosterone levels to the max.

But when asked he moved round the ring superbly.

Pleased to have the pleasure of awarding this boy BEST OF BREED.

Later in the day his mind was back on showing and I was over the moon to see him awarded UTILITY GROUP 3.

2nd Sharpuggles talk about luck.
