PETERBOROUGH & DISTRICT CANINE SOCIETY OPEN SHOW Held on: Sunday 15h July 2018

It was a pleasure to be invited to Judge at Peterborough and District Canine Society on Sunday 15th July 2018, which was held at Wood Green Animal Shelter. This well-run show was held inside the venue which was a blessing due to the heat. Many thanks to the Committee and Stewards for their help throughout the day.

AVNSC Pastoral: P (Dog or Bitch) (2E). 1 Mr. M. Pucknell & Mr. R. Palmer, Nellinka Christmas Hades, (GSD): A 7mth old dog of good type that has a good outline and is well grown for age. He is very eye catching and has a natural stance. Good masculine head with a good length of neck with well laid shoulders, good angles, straight front, plenty of bone and tight feet. Well sprung rib and deep brisket for age, firm back, good tail set with a group gentle croup, good angles to rear with strong hocks. He moved fore and aft, straight and his side movement was very good even in the restricted ring. I was very pleased to award him Res.BoB, BP + Past. P.Grp. 2. Will watch him come on, he has a bright future.

2 Misses B.A. & C.J. Wallis & Baga, Morval Nainen Varda at Velrok, (Finnish Lapphund): Bitch just over 6mths of age, a very happy girl, pity to meet the 1st. I liked her and she moved a dream. She is a good type with a good outline, super feminine head with a pleasing expression and dark eye. Correct ear set, neat front, good back and rear, and neat hocks. Good dark coat that was well groomed and presented. Should do well with time.

J (Dog or Bitch) (2,0). 1 Mr. M. & Mr. R Pucknell & Palmer, Nellinka Great Expectation, (GSD): A 7mth old bitch that is of good type with a pleasing outline, good size head, neck could be longer, but is adequate, front ok, feet could be neater. Plenty of body, good rear and hocks, moves ok. 2 Mr & Mrs Haladay, Royal Croft Kaboom Key (Imp Ser.): A 15mth old OES dog, superbly presented, moved lovely around the ring. Unfortunately, on the day he was spooked, sure he will have a better day.

PG (Dog or Bitch) (6,3). 1 Mr. A. & Mr. M. Henshaw & Gardner, Magikus Belatrix Black, (Hung. Puli): A 2yr old black bitch that is a good type with a very pleasing outline, she is cording up well, very pleasant head, of good shape. Good length of neck and neat shoulders with good front with nice brisket and spring of ribs. Good back and neat rear with good hocks. Moved well around the ring, pleased to award her BOB and Past.Grp. 3.

2 Mr. M. & Mr. R Pucknell & Palmer, Nellinka I Have A Dream, (GSD): A 3yr old bitch of good type with a pleasing outline, never quite had the room to move, she is well made and has an abundant coat.

3 Mrs S. Elliott, Solanevaeh Raul Thane, (BSG Terv.): A 2yr old dog that has a nice outline and is of a good type. Well grown and nicely made, tended to sidewind on the move. Just needs to get that sorted out.

O (Dog or Bitch) (3,1a). 1 Mr. M. & Mr. R Pucknell & Palmer, Nellinka Golden Pride, (GSD.): A 4yr old dog of good and pleasing outline, very upstanding, moved well. Handled the ring well. In good coat. 2 Mr. A. & Mr. M. Henshaw & Gardner, Tyngeli Snow White for Magikus (Imp Rus.) (Hung. Puli): A 5yr old white bitch of good type and good outline. Looks super in profile, she has a good head and body and good rear end. Front could be better. Good Cords.

BORDER COLLIE: P (Dog or Bitch) (1,0), 1 Miss J.B., Mr. P. Barker & Young, Tobermoray Dance A Dream at Jephanil: Black and White bitch just 6mths of age. So happy to be at her 1st show. She is of a nice type with a pleasing outline, nice size and well made for her age and very feminine. Moved well around the ring taking it all in her stride. Pleased to award her R.BOB and BP, then PGrp.4.

PG (Dog or Bitch) (2,0), 1 Miss J. Porter, Kirkwind Jumping Jupiter: A 3 yr. old masculine Black and White dog of nice type, outline and size. He has a pleasing head and front, nice back and pleasing back end. Plenty of hard muscle to drive him around the ring. Pleased to award him BOB and Grp 4.

2 Miss R. Collier, Goytry Valentine Moments: A 9yr old Black and White girl of a pleasing type and outline, that is just beginning to show her age. She has no muscle tone which showed in her movement.

WELSH CORGI (Pembroke): O (Dog or Bitch) (1,0), 1 Miss G. Legerton, Ermyn Time To Dream for Solaw: A 5yr old Tri coloured dog that has a pleasing outline and is of a nice type, stood alone in this class. Has a good coat and head and neat front. Good back and pleasing backend, moved well. Pleased to award him BOB.

SAMOYED: PG (Dog or Bitch) (1,0), 1 Mrs. M.E. Glover, Whitespirit Zilverschoon: A 3yr old bitch that is slightly out of coat, but of good type with a pleasing outline. She has a pleasing head and forefront, strong back and nice back end. Plenty of muscle throughout and is in good condition. Pleased to award her BOB and Grp.2.

O (Dog or Bitch) (2,1). 1 Mrs. M.E. Glover. Whitespirit Gabrielle : A 7yr old B in full coat. She is a nice type with a pleasant outline, feet could be tighter, showed in her movement. Pleased to award her Res.BOB. PASTORAL GROUP

Grp 1. Mrs R. Fransham: Sheltysham Bedazzle at Franmead, JW: Shetland Sheepdog 2.5yrs of age Tri coloured bitch with a pleasing outline that is of good type. She showed her socks off in the Group and moved around very well. Such a very nice shape, pleased to award her Grp.1.

Grp 2. Mrs. M.E. Glover, Whitespirit Zilverschoon: Bitch. Samoyed as prev.

Grp 3. 1 Mr. A. & Mr. M. Henshaw & Gardner, Magikus Belatrix Black, (Hung. Puli): as prev.

Grp 4. Miss J. Porter, Kirkwind Jumping Jupiter: Border Collie. D. As prev.

PASTORAL PUPPY GROUP Grp 1. Mrs. L.S. French, Linfern Light Sabre:, Shetland Sheepdog. Sable and White, 7mths old dog. Super type with a lovely outline. Absolutely stood out for me, he was just so confident on the move. Super head, fore-front and back end. I will watch how he progresses.

Grp 2. Mr. M. Pucknell & Mr. R. Palmer, Nellinka Christmas Hades, (GSD): D. as prev.

Grp 3. Mrs. J. Spenelow, Samhaven Unique to Uffspring: A 8mth old R. Collie bitch of Merle colouring. She is a good type with a pleasing outline and is well grown for her age with an abundance of coat. She also moved well.

Grp 4. Miss J.B., Mr. P. Barker & Young, Tobermoray Dance A Dream at Jephanil. Border Collie B.
